I've been playing pogo decks ever since the card got released, and feel like it's finally time to share this list and give some tips out of personal experience. The list won't do much, but your playstyle and decision-making will. I took the time to make an in-depth overview on how to play your matchups and actually play pogo rogue right, because I see WAY too many people play it wrong. The reason it has only a 30% winrate on hsreplay is because people play the deck maybe 3 times, they don't put the effort or practise into it and just discard it as a trash deck. I believe that with enough practise you can make anything work, and set myself the challenge to climb as high as possible with the deck next season. This first season I've mainly been refining this deck and its playstyle at rank 5 to 3, and been able to float around 60% winrate overall. And if you don't believe me, I play it live on stream and keep track of the score, as well as post my deck tracker stats regularly. People can shit on pogo rogue all they want, they can't stop me :)
I hope I can help some people have fun and perform well with pogo rogue, thanks for your time!
No worries, I play EU as well.. Maybe give it some time, the season just started and everyone dropped back to rank 5, a lot of people are going for quick and easy legend with aggro decks now. Maybe in a week it'll be more diverse :)
Yeah I reckon you're right! I've given it some play the deck and I do see the potential but like you stated its very hard to master the deck.
1 mistake can ruin the whole game.
But I'm glad I can finally give my Tak some play, great deck mate!
Thanks a lot, you definitely get punished for taking wrong lines of play, details matter! It's not an easy deck, but that makes it more challenging and fun as well imo :)
I'm not sure how you can have more than 5% win rate against rogues though.
It's definitely the hardest matchup, but having a really good early game that can snowball with zilliax, maybe pogo's and shuffles is how you often win. It's hard, but if you get a bit lucky with your draws and play your cards right it's doable. If you're facing 90% rogues on ladder however you're indeed better off playing something else.
Great video for what looks like a fun deck. Sure is different from other Pogo decks I played. Gonna try it when I get Tak.
Thanks! only big difference is the playstyle really :)
Super insane with Barista Lynchen! Opponents won't expect such fast comeback of 17 to 19 stats of rabbits on turn 10!
Wow nice pogo deck! It's my first time to get my pogo to 29/29 stats!
congrats! Barista can indeed make for some pretty insane turns both late-game and early
Interesting deck I got all the cards and def gonna give it a go since rogue is my new favourite class :)
Have you tried adding Heistbaron Togwaggle in there? it really helps me win some games in my thief decks
go for it! And yes actually, but like I've said to others, you're better off playing just a togwaggle deck then instead of pogo's with a togwaggle. This might shift the wincondition of the deck a bit too much away from pogo's. Also, you have run 2 lackey generators right now and you want to play them out as soon as possible to control the board, instead of save them for Tog. And can be a dead card in the hand and is a pretty late-game play, while you usually already win late-game with pogo's anyway, it's the early game that's hard most of the time. But ofc I'm not stopping you if you want to test it out!
thx for amazing video and explanations. can you please record more videos from your gameplays so we can learn better?! 😋
Sure thing! Been asked this a couple times now and will start working on those. I plan on just taking clips from my stream of the hardest matchups to hopefully give some insight :)
I just opened a Golden Tak Nozwhisker a couple of days ago. It must be a sign to try this list out.
awesome, make sure to let me know how it goes!
deck mechanics - you receive warrior - insta win, you receive other class - insta lose
This is not true, every matchup is winnable. Of course aggro matchups are harder, every deck has its weaknesses, but saying "insta lose" just means you don't know how to play the deck well enough against those aggro players. Pogo's don't have to be your wincon, but everything is explained in the video as well.
Is there any replacement for barista lynchen ?
Barista is a really good card, but can be replaced if you don't currently own her. I explain in the video why she can be really insane against aggro and even control matchups, so finding a card to replace such an unique effect is pretty hard. You could add in a 2nd fan if you face a lot of token druid, maybe thalnos, the 1/5 magnetic taunt, acolyte of pain, walk the plank.. These are all cards I've messed with but didn't make the final cut. Experiment a bit! Hope you'll have fun with the deck regardless :)
