Welcome to my Elemental Shaman!
by WurstJoachim#2955
Some smooth mirror gameplay from my boy KiwiiNbacon:
Card explanations
- Good early game & tool for Servant of Kalimos, Blazecaller, Kalimos, Primal Lord
- Allows us to use Brann Bronzebeard in Standart mode. So since our Elementals use mostly Battlecrys, we can clearly use this card and i tell you guys, it's super strong! With Blazecaller it's 10 DMG burst. With Kalimos, Primal Lord you can do a lot of different stuff, because you can choose 2 times what you like to cast. If you need some reinforcements you can use it with Servant of Kalimos. If you need to get some stats on the board, you can use it with Bonemare. As you see there are a lot of tools in this deck for this card to work with.
- Since we got no other card draw than Mana Tide Totem we have to work with what we already got. So if you need some quick reinforcements you can use this card. Dont try to get highest value out of it, that doesnt make sense. Sometimes its just better when you cast it on Servant of Kalimos or Fire Elemental or Bonemare
Jinyu Waterspeaker, Hot Spring Guardian,Healing Rain
- Sometimes, just a strong defensive early game isnt enough so you just need to get some quick and strong healing in mid/late game. You can just heal 2x with Murmuring Elemental if you need. But that doesnt happen that often tho. lol
Volcano, Lightning Storm, Devolve, Maelstrom Portal
- These are cheap and high effective AOE tools you will definitely need against aggro. No discuss here.
- STOP! This one card is SO much fun! This card allows you to use your cards 2, 3 or 4 times for nearly no mana since you can get this one out of Servant of Kalimos. Best targets are Bonemare,Kalimos, Primal Lord, Marin the Fox, Servant of Kalimos, Murmuring Elemental, Blazecaller, Fire Plume Harbinger, Fire Elemental. See ? Nearly every minion in the deck is a good (!) target for it. You can use it in so many different ways. For example: you can reduce the cost of your already Grumbled minions to 0 with Fire Plume Harbinger and play combos like Murmuring Elemental & Blazecaller get a Pyroblast for 0 Mana (2 if you wont reduce the cost for sure). Bonemare for 1 Mana? Sure, i'll take it! There are too many different ways to use this card to explain here. Go craft it and make sure you'll try this out, bro.
- You can surely replace this with another Blazecaller for example. This is more a fun tool, because if you play Wondrous Wand and draw Grumble, Worldshaker,Kalimos, Primal Lord or Bonemare for 0 Mana cost.. .. we dont even need to talk about this.
Mulligan & Guide
vs Priest
Try to keep Fire Fly, Mana Tide Totem & Servant of Kalimos.
It's a hard Matchup, because priests are able to outdamage you with Shadowreaper Anduin. You have to put constant pressure on the board and outvalue him with your reinforcements like Spirit Echo, Servant of Kalimos, Grumble, Worldshaker. An early Mana Tide Totem which draws 2-3 cards is insane and will definitely help you winning. Try to heal as much as possible when Shadowreaper Anduin is on board. Hope not do die to Prophet Velen combo to fast. Amen.
vs Hunter
Try to keep Fire Fly, Maelstrom Portal, Jinyu Waterspeaker, Hot Spring Guardian & Bloodmage Thalnos
This is the best matchup you have. You just have to keep the board nice and clean & it's going to win itself. Devolve for Savanna Highmane. Volcano is going to make your opponent mad. Nothing more to say about this.
vs Rogue
Try to keep Fire Fly, Mana Tide Totem. Hot Spring Guardian, Maelstrom Portal
If Swashburgle comes down on 1, you just go for that easy Maelstrom Portal. Volcano on his Cobalt Scalebane board. Devolve his Bonemare board. Heal your self sometimes and outvalue him. Mana Tide Totem is not going to draw more than 1 card (max. 2), but that is okay! Grumble, Worldshaker on Fire Elemental, Bonemare, Kalimos, Primal Lord are insane but you can also just use it on your healing Minions to hold the board and still heal.
vs Warlock
Try to keep Fire Fly, Devolve, Mana Tide Totem, Bloodmage Thalnos
You will have some hard times against Warlocks these days. Just try to not lose your board as much and play Devolve on the Voidlords. A good Mana Tide Totem is worth a lot. Spirit Echo on Servant of Kalimos is always a good choice if there is no better target. The Warlock is going to damage himself a lot before he plays Bloodreaver Gul'dan. So you have the chance to burst him down with Murmuring Elemental & Blazecaller. If you reduce the cost of these cards 2x with Fire Plume Harbinger you can burst 20 dmg in 2 turns:
1. Fire Plume Harbinger -> Fire Plume Harbinger
2. Murmuring Elemental (costs 0) + Blazecaller (costs 5) ->Grumble, Worldshaker (costs 4) = 10 DMG burst +7/7 on board
3. Murmuring Elemental (costs 1) + Blazecaller (costs 1) = 10 DMG Burst
4. You can also play Murmuring Elemental + Kalimos, Primal Lord in the same turn (3.) if their cost is reduced too. That would be a 32 DMG burst in total. Should be enough for most Warlocks.. lol
The match is going to last pretty long if any good (or bad) draw is going to kill anyone. It's also hard to play if you have not played this matchup yet. Same for priest. Good luck.
vs Mage
Try to keep Fire Fly, Hot Spring Guardian, Maelstrom Portal
It's pretty much a 50/50. Either you get killed before turn 7/8, or you just pass the midgame and value him out like a boss. Aluneth is not going to help him a lot and mostly he will fatigue himself. Mana Tide Totem isnt going to draw much cards for you again. Doesnt matter tho. Just value the f*ck out of him.
vs Warrior
Just kidding, i dont know who plays that anymore.
vs Druid
Try to keep Fire Fly, Mana Tide Totem, Maelstrom Portal, Bloodmage Thalnos & Devolve
We have to prepare for Aggro, Big & Jade Druid. It is pretty difficult to mulligan against all this so we just go against Aggro, because it is most effective to mulligan against.
Just go for some removal and heal. Then go for card draw and then for value. Easy game agianst aggro.
Devolve is for Living Mana or Spreading Plague.
Against jade you have to keep your board alive and get some value with Spirit Echo, Murmuring Elemental and Grumble, Worldshaker.
Against Big druid you will have hard times, just go for max value and hope to win as fast as possible.
vs Shaman
Try to keep Fire Fly, Maelstrom Portal, Lightning Storm or Volcano, Mana Tide Totem
Mostly you will meet some kind of Jade Evolve. So you just go for some boardclears and play Volcano if he plays the Doppelgangster + Evolve Combo. If this combo is played you just go for value and heal. Ez.
In a mirror match its pretty difficult. You mostly go for max value and your hand will always be full. Play smart and use your AOE tools wisely. Spirit Echo is winning games in this matchup.
vs Paladin
Try to keep Fire Fly, Maelstrom Portal, Hot Spring Guardian, Lightning Storm
Either Murloc Paladin or Aggro Token are pretty ez here since we have so much AEO DMG and heal. Just keep your board nice and clean and heal yourself up before you value the f*ck out of him. Hot Spring Guardian is pretty nice here because most of the tokens have ~2 HP. Pretty easy matchup if you draw the right cards, which is not impossible because you have a lot tools in your deck that work against this kind of decks. Devolve + Maelstrom Portal is a good tool right here because it often clears the enemy board and is cheap. Volcano is as insane as always against aggro.
Outro
I just want to say thanks to all those who play this deck and help me to get it to it's best form! Feel free to replace cards, but just let me know how it works out! :) I'm working at it everyday & I hope to bring Shaman back to the meta anyday. :)
Make sure to check out my other decks. I will upload a few more Shaman decks similar to this one depending on what i am facing on ladder the most ( against aggro, against control ).
Also feel free to add me ingame ( WurstJoachim#2955 ).
! I also would really appreciate it, if you donate a few packs to me, so i can create some more decks than only Shaman ones, because unfortunately Shaman is the only class i have cards for. !

I am still enjoying this deck a lot. I really like the elemental shaman archtype, so hopefully it gets a few more options in the sets this year. I am having moderate success with it at the moment, but was wondering if you have made any changes to the listed deck or if you are still playing it? Regardless, thanks for sharing in the first place.
Donate packs? Is that a thing?
On the Blizzard Store you can gift in-game items including Hearthstone Packs to people you're friends with.
Hi WurstJoachim,
How your deck perform now with a more stable meta? Did the four 1/1 for two still useful? What do you think about Fight Promoter for draw?
If you want try something new with Elemental, here's my Prince Keleseth Elemental Shaman:

good deck!
ive been playing this with thrall in, curious on why you replaced him? His hero power has helped me quite a few times. I guess the bloodmages spell damage would be sweet for maelstrom lightning but thrall can help control games so much more. I guess depends on what your facing. Anyway good fun deck, id like to find a spot for runespear as i had a lot of fun with that weapon in my other evolve and overload decks. Typically always gives me a spell I need
Really fun deck!
Thank gosh I thought It was only happening to me!
You have a good point. How would you make it better? I was thinking Igneous Elemental instead of Healing Rain and Volcano are a good start. I think it would still require more early game presence. Anyone else have ideas?
I think the core of this deck is remarkably strong. Just needs that little bit extra brainstorming to make it viable.
edit: -1 Bonemare and Devolve for 2 Tar Creepers, get rid of Hot Spring Guardians for Fire Plume Phoenix as well and I think we have something
hey there, mate. This looks like a great (and fun!) deck to play. What would be a good substitute for Grumble? I haven't got it and I'm not sure I will be able to craft him any time soon.
thanks! will try that
How can I donate packs? I heard that you have to be friends with someone from your list over 7 days ,otherwise it’s not possible to give a random person packs ( they did this probably as a safety,to prevent someone who hacked a account to give all the stuff away)
Unfortunately I don't have Karazan. How important is Maelstrom Portal in this deck and what can it be replaced with?
It's a core card in shaman until Karazhan gets cycled out
One of the best parts about this deck is that it almost completely survives the next rotation. I suspect once pirates and jades leave standard, a lot of Shaman decks will look like this.
So.. you commented to shit talk the deck?
No, elemental Shaman are not new. They are, in fact, a core concept from the property that this game is based upon. I never played Ele Shaman to a high level in WoW, but they were interesting. So heaven forefend that they exist here.
A) OMG, people update decks with new cards? Quickly, flit to every Control Warlock, every Razakus Priest, every Secret Mage and every other archetype and tell them that their decks are bad because they're not original.
B) Uh, who cares? Did OP claim it's tier 1? Some of us also like decks that are just fun.
C) And hey, why not one more insult for the road that you can't prove one way or the other? Again, OP didn't claim he'd rode it to legend.
Simmer down, son.
And every shaman deck is a Doomhammer/Al'Akir deck, because that's what worked in pre-expansion Hearthstone and everything since then is just the same deck with different cards.
I've enjoyed playing this decklist (with a tweak or two since I don't actually own Spirit Echo), but I'm having a hard time actually getting value out of Grumble, Worldshaker. Either I'm already dead, or by the time that I'd set something up to get good value out of him, I can probably kill my opponent.
He looks like a legendary with super potential, but what in the hell do you do to actually realize it?
I'm guessing that the premise there would be that they've only wiped out whatever you Bonemare'd. From my own limited data sample size, either whatever I've used the battlecry on is still standing, or both it AND the Bonemare get wiped, leaving no target for Grumble.
SoK I could see on its own, same for Kalimos himself. Maybe I'm just being too greedy. I'll give it another shot with some lower thresholds to make the play and see how it goes. Thanks for the reply!
What'd you drop to tech in Hallazeal? I don't have him, but I am curious what you considered expendable.
