Paying 2 mana for an evolve effect on only one minion is not as great as it looks. You need to have actual minions on the board to evolve to begin with. Yes you can play a minion and then evolve it every turn, but how good is that really? If you get something like +2/+2 on average for stats, it has about the same impact as Dinomancy. Meh. Don't forget it's random too, so it might be worse than Dinomancy on average.
This won't fit in the standard Token Shaman we have right now, because it's just too slow and expensive to get full value from this card. Token Shaman is way more focused on boardflooding and finishing with Bloodlust, than it was on the Evolve synergies. Evolve was only played in that deck because it is a cheap way to create stats on a big board of cheap minions, kind of like a pseudo-Mark of the Lotus. It also had really good synergy with Doppelgangster, but that play only costs 6 mana (insane tempo), and could be played even if your board was empty. Creating that kind of tempo is something you just can't do with this card, so it's actually not an aggro card.
This would only fit in a more value-oriented deck, which plays more cards with a Doppelgangster style effect of summoning multiple minions that want to be evolved to increase their stats dramatically. I don't see such a deck doing well, for the same reason evolve decks have never done well. It's just too inconsistent and slow.
fuck you blizzard why this is 5 mana and jaina 9 ? this is like cast 2 evlove, 1 iron hide, and a evolve in a stick,
5 mana play 2 Evolve and play a Iron Hide. so 3 mana based off existing cards in game. However, 3 cards combined together is always better. Then.... Then you get a hero power so you can trade or do whatever the frick you want every turn because you can "heal" a minion that gets damage. Then the fact that evolve shaman was already good. Then the fact that if you add more mechanics/cards towards an archetype that can work they get better like resurrect and silence priest. And we have the makings of a really good legendary. Well then... I wanna know at what mana cost does this become not playable. Because 6 and 7 I can still see being great
It's just stupid to say that's Jaina hero power summon elementals. Read the text again. It's isn't easy to kill minions with fire blast when your opponment is playing around it.
He comes from Reddit, don't be hard on him please

it's not going to be as crazy as people think it is. It's an alright card. Bear in mind, until they announce if you always draw your DK on curve, then it's a 1 of, so it's unreliable in an aggressive deck to draw. It also relies on you already having a board on turn 5, so it's a lot like Bloodlust. Also, one of the reasons why Evolve is good in the first place is because you can summon totems to buff. You lose the ability to buff anything but your own minions with teh new hero power, so it's basically 2 mana: evolve 1 minion, giving it +1+1 sometimes. Id actually argue that the new hero power isn't as good as summoning a totem. You could also compare this card to Dinomancy which gave +2 +2 to your minions every time you used it, which is a lot better than evolving a minion, plus that card only costs 2 and this costs 5, and Dinomancy is an awful card to begin with lol
The key difference though is that Thrall, Deathseer has an immediate effect when used. So played correctly, you could end up with a massive tempo swing. You are not wrong about the hero power though. Even though the hero power can be used in unique ways that would benefit you like transforming a minion that traded and has one health into something else. It does have that drawback in that it could turn into something worse. I would still put this as slightly above average overall though.
Being able to reroll your worst evolve with one more evolve tick is huge in evolve shaman many time evolve/devolve can cause you to lose with rng (think nat pagle doomsayer lorewalker etc.) The fact that you can drop this on a mediocre board whenever and turn your hero power (which gets way worse late game) Into a full heal is crazy, the hero power is gonna be the craziest part of this card but trust me everyone would have already played a card that read 5 evolve twice.
Why is that 5 mana and jeina is 9?
Blizzard keep pushing for aggressive decks
Two Nerubian Prophet + Thrall Deathseer = Tirion Fordring and Ragnaros, Lightlord
Notice how they made it 2 more so your 1 drops don't have the chance to become Doomsayer anymore... now you only have to fear 0 drops and who the hell runs those?
Evolve is my favourite card even before it became popular. I love this card so much.
Surprise! Here's his Hero Power, for ease.
Whelp based on the cards mana, battlecry, and hero power. I would say it is a very good card although will more likely be used later in the game than right at 5 mana. The hero power gives a lot of flexibility for that cost. Just keep in mind though that you lose your totems by doing this and that certain mana costs can backfire.
OVERRATED AS KALIMOS FUCK OFF
This card was released like 20 mins ago. How can it be over rated yet?
This is too competitively statted I'm scared.
