Silences just ruined the meta before, I'm so glad they nerfed Iron beak owl. But yeh silences are gonna be useful, but idk if you have time to use them.
Is that a giant frying pan in his hand?
No, it's a brush (idk how it's actually called) for his cannon.
The worst this card can do is delay until turn 4/5 at least.
For control paladin this is extremely effective at helping you get to the late game which is where you win.
Seems that WotoG was a bit too slow, this set is still slow but theres the odd card to help slow decks such as this card which utterly counters aggro.
With a ton of hand buff card, this guy has huge potential now. Imagine you can buff your hand 3 times or even twice. He's a 3 mana 5/5 or 4/4 with divine shield, taunt and lifesteal effect. It's a huge wall which has heal in mid-late game and will grant you huge tempo.
Kind of seems like Bloodmage Thalnos. Not really impactful, but a decent wall with some potential late game benefits.
Its bad that they've stolen a good illustration/character from pirates. Its even worse that he is in paladin. The character and the abilities on the card, even the stats doesn't fit it. Big fail.
Idk why everyone is saying this card is just like shielded minibot and will be played. Silent knight is almost exactly the same but without the heal and taunt. Silent knight has stealth though which is probably more important since the divine shield can't be immediately popped with a hero power like mage, druid, or rogue. I highly doubt the healing will help much at all as it only has 2 attack and if you plan on playing it on turn 3, you're often still at 30hp.
Because with taunt and divine shield you are forcing your opponent to basically spend his entire turn 3 removing it, silent knight is bad and never saw play because it didnt do anything when you played it and was only really used in gimmicky buff decks, and with all the inhand buffs paladin got this is going to be more realistically a 3/3, or just another stalling tool for control paladin
Even late game this card is fine, its alot better than most 3 drops on turn 7 and can buy you time too topdeck tirion or lightlord, its just all around good but not meta defining
I thought he was gonna have like a battlecry and shooting from his cannon....
Nothing legendary, but it's too good not to play it.
So much "WTF" in a single card.. The art doesnt match the effect, AT ALL. In what world does a chubby pyromaniac canon-dwarf have anything to do with shields and heals? Azeroth it seems..
i just realized that the cannon is attached to his belly at first i thought he was riding it
EXCUSE ME?!?!?!?
It's not make sense for me that guy with a big cannon on him has only 2 attack and heals.
The cannon shoots rainbows.
I hate when legendaries have these kinds of names. I keep mixing up the words. I still say Deathlord Dragonwing on occasion.
If you manage to fuck up the name of one of Warcraft's best characters like that, that's due to your own stupidity.
But that is what makes it so good - the fact that it is such an immediate threat to the opponent that he HAS to deal with it. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts on this card, the only way to deal with him effectively is hard removal where he is bounced, transformed or outright destroyed. THAT is what makes him a pain in the ass to deal with. If he is played on curve, or if he is Coined out, there are VERY few answers in the game that remove him WITHOUT triggering his ability.
I expect this card to be paired a lot with Silvermoon Portal.
