Ben Brode on Deck Slots
Ben Brode doesn't find additional deck slots to be too confusing.
Quote from Ben BrodeI don't think more deck slots is too confusing.
More Than Just New Heroes?
The Chief Marketing Director at Netease, Blizzard's partner for Chinese operations, stated on Weibo that the main content of the "new patch" was not the new heroes. If this is accurate, things just got a lot more interesting! What would you like to see alongside the new heroes?
Translation and original text is available below.
Quote from Zhang Dong (张栋-网易)The main elements of the next patch are not the new heroes. They didn't show the big thing.
炉石这回内容发布的顺序有点问题……大概是美国那边觉得所谓的英雄比较炫酷……新补丁的主要内容不是这个……相信我……
New Heroes are Coming
In case you missed it yesterday, Hearthstone is getting new cosmetic heroes! Currently the only revealed hero is Magni Bronzebeard, who will be the second Warrior hero.
- Heroes can be bought for $9.99 USD per hero ($12.99 AUD, 8.99€ EUR, 6.99£ GBP). (Source)
- Heroes are purely cosmetic. They use the same class cards that are in the current game and use the same hero power.
- The hero package includes the new Hero, a special hero-exclusive Card Back, and unique hero-specific Emotes.
You can learn more about the new heroes over in our new heroes announcement and recap post.

The Angry Chicken Podcast #85
This week on The Angry Chicken Podcast, Karma joined the crew as a guest host, and they discussed the third Viagame House Cup, tips for getting to legend, crazy game stories, and how to deal with negativity while streaming.
The Angry Chicken is a Hearthstone podcast featuring Garrett, Dills, and Jocelyn who discuss the latest Hearthstone happenings, strategy, and stories. You can find previous episodes of TAC over on their YouTube channel.
I am gonna guess that they will add achievements.
That's actually not a bad shout. It seems every game has them these days.
I can't play this game anymore. Facing the same netdecks over and over while grinding the ladder for little rewards. If they implement a tournament mode and release better cards I might come back to it. Such wasted potential.
True the net deckers are killing the fun of the game, I feel casual mode has become more interesting than ladder. I got the legend card back, grinding every season no more fun for me. It is not that I dont win vs net decks, it is just that I find more interesting opponents in casual mode.
U wot m8?

Daily reminder that Blizzard is ripping you off, shepples.
daily reminder that your tears fuel me
Truth hurts.
Answering the question what would I like to see as a new content alongside the new heroes:
I think the best step now would be anything to bring people back to playing arena, give them a reason to play arena even with full cardset, it's really fun part of the game with variety that cannot be compared to limited constructed meta.
Ranking arena system would be cool.
New heroes unlockable by 500 arena wins by a class would be cool but we know it will not happen from what was said.
But the most cool idea imo would be some kind of adventure in arena style.
I'd play Arena if I could get Classic packs as a reward, since I already got most of the cards I needed from GvG. Most people that gave up on Arena probably are facing the same problem.
Considering how conservative they are, it's probably just about the next expansion and maybe few cards reveal.
New heroes + Not the biggest feature = 2v2 mode?
I'm sorry to crush your hopes and dreams but there will never be 2v2 in hearthstone.
What would you like to see alongside the new heroes?
A completely revamped reward system and rank system.
Also a new game mode were you can go over the max limit amount of card types(more than 2 of each) for crazy combinations of cards. Not balanced at all, but a lot of fun. A.k.a a bit more freedom to fool around with friends.
If it is an expansion of cards, I don't want to see another minion theme expansion. Sure you can add a new murloc, mech or anything of that kind. Just don't make it a mech, dragon etc theme again. Add more new RULES(battlecry, charge etc) instead. Make more depth. Not more ways to play aggro is what I'm trying to say here.
- Secrets for all classes;
- Weapons for all classes;
- New card type: Armor (gives +armor bonus as a BC and some sort of passive effect while the armor lasts)
- One class to get a Jaraxxus-type Legendary
That would be some things I think could shake the game a little.
I want Tournament mode(s) and restriction mode. And a new pack expansion!
The amount of data even for 30 million players for a deck list is probably less than 10 terabytes honestly. I could be wrong but I highly doubt its much data for a list just like its crap data for a character in wow. in d3 a character is a few 100 kilobytes so a list has to be about the same.
They will make him 6/8 to make him more balanced couz we all know he is so balanced he shouldnt get shot by random drunken dwarfs
Can I just say that I love that that small statement is newsworthy - we've been told for so long about how confusing they'd be that a single sentence change of heart is enough for us.
Hate to be a downer but this isn't a guarantee that they'll be here next patch or anything. Just that they probably won't confuse us anymore. Hooray for ambiguous and vague hints towards content we actually want!
