Upcoming Balance Change to Undertaker
Undertaker will be receiving a change in an upcoming patch. No longer will it gain increased health.

The following balance change will be made in an upcoming patch:
Undertaker now reads: Whenever you summon a minion with Deathrattle, gain +1 Attack.
- Undertaker was frustrating to play against. It often gained both Attack and Health stats significantly above those of other inexpensive minions very early in the game. With this change, we expect Undertaker will still be better than other 1-Mana minions when played in a deck with a Deathrattle theme, but more likely to die in combat against other minions.
The golden version of Undertaker can be disenchanted for its full cost for a limited time once this balance change goes live.
We will continue to make balance changes to Hearthstone when we feel they are necessary in order to increase the variety of cards seen at all levels of play, with the goal of making Hearthstone a more fun and interactive game for everyone.

Finally! This opens up so much possibilities for many (fun) decks that didn't even get a chance to win the game when facing a turn one undertaker.
That's my plan. I'm playing around with a Gazlowe build since I don't have Tony.
Gotta have cheap decks that can hold their own. Otherwise all you have is a shrinking pool of players playing late game control. Where every match takes 30 minutes and if you are new to the game you get curb stomped and quit.
Thanks, now change Mad Scientist to be at 3 mana. You can't have 5mana value in a 2 mana card.
Most players then would only play 1 deathrattle each turn, still broken as F%^k.
I'm actually thinking the same, the card is good, is playable now, with high rewards for little risk, being a 1/1 would have been a high risk, high reward card, that is balance, now nobody is gonna play this, he is worse than Micro Machine, which again is a high risk, high reward card, Which is probably what we will see replace deathrattle hunter. Why ruin cards so much just because people are complaining. I was having so much hope for this game to be competitive and really challenging, now it's just stupid , everybody can complain so that a card needs to get out of the equation.
Because it's way too good compared to similar mechanics cards. For example,Secretkeeper is way harder to buff to significant attack values and she still doesn't get this health buff.
A needed was nerf. No 1 mana common card should be able to snowball a player to win unless he is removed the turn he is played.
The devs pointed out the real issue with Undertaker: It was the health increase. For example if you had no Wrath as a druid on T2 versus an Untertaker it was not unlikely that the Wrath your drew on T3 might not be enough to remove him due to him ended up as a 3/4. Then it was not unlikely that by T4 a Swipe won't be enough as neither.
To include cards only to counter a 1 mana minion can't be the way to go. showed that there was obviously something broken.
Why would you ever use undertaker over micro mech even in a deathrattle theme? Micro grows every turn. They basically nerfed undertaker to a weaker version of micro mech. Unless you plan on spamming deathrattle minions in 1 turn.. but even then, meh.. I don't understand why they make these balancing decisions that completely ruin a card. "Let's change this card to be exactly like another card but weaker."
edit: And I don't play cancer decks. I just think it's counter productive to make more cards irrelevant.
Exactly this! a nerf to 1 health would have been more appropriate...
Did you forget the part where Micro Machine is 2-mana and Undertaker costs half that?

I love how they said Undertaker wont be getting nerfed for ages and defended it but now it's getting nerfed.
Curious if I can get my 20 bucks back from naxx ut only reason I bought it they can have all cards from it back as well heck I'll take a credit to buy classic n gvg won't be spending anymore money on special section of games cause u pay for specific cards not like buying randomized packs ppl with no skills QQ
so u wont use Kel'Thuzad, Sludge Belcher, zombie chow, loatheb ,spectral knight, mad scientist, shade of naxx and pretty much all the solid naxxramas cards out there coz undertaker got nerfed.. gtfo kid

I am glad this gets nerfed, but I think the real issue was mad scientist!
And the refound for people that spent gold on that specific card?
Disappointed by this. If it doesn't gain health i would be happier if it started out as a 1/3. However that's me and i know a lot of people have been crying over this card.
