Tombs of Terror Adventure
We already knew that Tombs of Terror, the Saviors of Uldum solo adventure, would release in September, but now we have more of a clue about the date.
When the expansion launched, the in game Solo Adventure UI still mentioned that Tombs of Terror would release "Soon". That message has now changed to "Opens in 5 Weeks".
If correct, and there are no changes to it, that would place the Adventure launch in the week of the 23rd to the 27th of September (assuming a no week-end launch).
Going even further, we know from Blizzard's Saviors of Uldum Update post from August 1st that there will be a "set of action-packed Tavern Brawls" with "Incredible Rewards". A set would indicate at least 2 and possibly more, which means that the lead in to the Solo Adventure could be much closer than we thought.
In fact, given that the story of the Tavern Brawls is that Elise Starseeker seeks to reunite the League of Explorers, we could deduce that there will be 3 Tavern Brawls, 1 for each League of Explorers member other than Elise.
That could mean, TOTAL SPECULATION WARNING, we are as little as 2 weeks away from the start of the action!
For those of you unable to get into the game to check this for yourself, here's the new landing page for Tombs of Terror in the game:
You forgot 15 packs, not to mention you pay for the hours and hours of content you get. I'm still not even halfway through the content of Heist and those hours were well worth my 2,800 gold even if it made by buy into SoU a lot smaller.
12 packs and one golden. 3 packs were for free
In general, a golden one is usually worth more dust than 3 regular ones, but even if it was 12, I remain behind my statement that it showed a lot of effort was put into it and it was a lot of hours of content. Idaresay it would be worht it even if you chose to pay the debilitating sum of 7$ per wing.
Of course i m considering that free packs for each wing, which you lose 300g for each also. if you dont count zayle, which i m not, buying packs or arena with that much gold were more efficient. I also liked heist. But i prefer to play my own decks with better cards.
That's 100% your right to not like it, to each her own, you're welcome not to play it. But not liking it is one thing, and complaining it costs gold is another, and those should never go together, because they're contradictory statements (I don't like it, but I HAVE to lay gold for it)
This is much better than the old adventures, that brought you WAY less cards, offered WAY less hours of play and practically 0 replayability, but you still HAD to play if you wanted staples (remember Sludge Belcher? Loatheb?)
Single player is a pretty challenging, and since RoS also ever changing type of play that fits perfectly when you're tired of trying to manage with the cards and type of play you have against net decked tournament level decks that start at around level 15 and make you unable to play anything else if you hope to rank up.
it's just different. For some people it's worth less than 3 packs, for many it's more, i just wanted to correct your statement in that regard.
never said anything about the other things you said: i agree on the fun, i've been playing heists nonstop. though it's not really that different from KnC or WW or RR.
When's the Tomb of Luna's Pocket Galaxy getting plundered with a nerf?
and we have to pay for this crap again ?
Yes, Blizzard has started the recruiting process of their seasonal assassins that will hunt down and kill anyone who doesn't want to pay. You obivously "have to" if you value your life.
sweet! hopefully, we get to pay $7 bucks a wing again! oh wait, I'm not spending any more money until warrior is nerfed.
It's filler content. The first Dungeon Run took real effort and I doubt they'll show that again.
The only reason I can think of this PvE content being released so far after the expansion is that they're working really hard on other updates that will be pushed out even sooner!
that's the thing with these dungeon runs it's just recycled garbage with new / old mechanics that charge u x y z for little and the rewards are more RNG loot boxes yippee!!!
The last single player content was pretty fun so interested to see what they come up with this time.
If it is another dungeon run/monster hunt/dalaran heist, I dont think I will be interested anymore.
So far they have managed to do something new since the first one. They botched the rumble run quite a bit, and failed miserably when they tried something new in the boomsday puzzle lab, but then they started doing what Blizzard has always, with no exception, does best:
Taking something good, well received and succesful and imporving it.
