Tombs of Terror Adventure
We already knew that Tombs of Terror, the Saviors of Uldum solo adventure, would release in September, but now we have more of a clue about the date.
When the expansion launched, the in game Solo Adventure UI still mentioned that Tombs of Terror would release "Soon". That message has now changed to "Opens in 5 Weeks".
If correct, and there are no changes to it, that would place the Adventure launch in the week of the 23rd to the 27th of September (assuming a no week-end launch).
Going even further, we know from Blizzard's Saviors of Uldum Update post from August 1st that there will be a "set of action-packed Tavern Brawls" with "Incredible Rewards". A set would indicate at least 2 and possibly more, which means that the lead in to the Solo Adventure could be much closer than we thought.
In fact, given that the story of the Tavern Brawls is that Elise Starseeker seeks to reunite the League of Explorers, we could deduce that there will be 3 Tavern Brawls, 1 for each League of Explorers member other than Elise.
That could mean, TOTAL SPECULATION WARNING, we are as little as 2 weeks away from the start of the action!
For those of you unable to get into the game to check this for yourself, here's the new landing page for Tombs of Terror in the game:
golden useless card?
1 Golden PACK. Which is, at worst, 300(4x50 + 100) dust.
New game mode ? Nerfs/buffs ? iPad pro support ?
No way !
Expensive adventure mode, yeaaaah !! $$$$
20€ (i think it's the same amount in $ but i'm not sure so i'm stating it in €) isn't that expensive when you consider that you (most likely) get 4 chapters as in the heist, on normal and heroic, 3 packs per chapter and a bunch of interesting gameplay. Consider that you would be paying 20€ for 15 packs and you get the first chapter for free (i'm guessing) you would get 15 packs, a good amount of gameplay and most importantly FUN. So it's a really good deal and not that expensive to boot.
Well I kind of agree, but 20€ is not that cheap either.
Compared to hearthstone economic system, OK.
Compared to a lot of other games that you buy less than 20€, gets a lot of support and update, and the full game directly as you buy it (no need to wait 5 weeks...). And fun, yes, but for how long ? Adventures are short and also is about a lot of RNG and try hard
I remember when adventures rewarded you new cards that made it worth paying for. Or when we got free adventures with few rewards for free. Now you have to pay for adventures with few rewards - Activision sure had their hands in this - greedy capitalists.
Will still pay for the adventure and play it tho.
They basically cut themselves in the fingers. Back in the days where you got cards which were only available through adventure mode, I bought all wings. The last expansion I didn't even bother paying that much for barely anything.
This time around will be the exact same.
well, now if you're buying with money 3/4 of the price is the packs you will get for beating the adventure if you had bought them separately
so the price of the adventure is actually only 1/4th of the total price which for the amount of content is really not that much
Damned capitalists trying to make money! Comrade, maybe we can try a socialist survival game going to Venezuela or North Corea.
Even though I like single player content, I would rather skip one for much needed game play updates like new game mode, improved collection manager, dust economy etc.
I LOVE Hearthstone's Single Player content. I don't even want to tell you how many games I've played between Dungeon Run, Monster Hunt, Rumble Run, and Dalaran Heist. Let's just say it's "a lot", but...
5 weeks??? (Blizzard's definition of soon...LOL)
I know they want to spread the content out in between Expansions so we don't get bored waiting for the next xpac, but I wish they would let us decide if we are bored or not. Release the PvE content sooner. If I play it for a week, so be it. If I play it for months, great.
Hopefully xskarma's speculation is right. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm sure they'll be releasing more information "soon" ; )
Do you remember Blizzard favorite phrase: "When its done"?
its like
>why cant i use my cards in adventure?
>i cant farm gold because my cards sucks
LUL
Go away.
Well, you usually either value time above money (e.g. because you have a family, job or the like) or vice versa. People who don't have the time or money to play this game should have other priorities.
I dusted all of my Warrior cards today except Dr. Boom. I'm now sitting at 16,000 dust. Feels amaze balls.
I want that full dust when they Nerf Dr. 7 to hell
Yeah because I'm totally going to be playing this game in 5 weeks, with every game being mage or warrior like the previous expansion......
And no, the same reused dungeon run shit it's not going to bring me back.
Bye, Felicia!
I completely destroy mages with my Priest deck. Let them come!
At past, all adventures were worth to buy but with poor content. Now the other way around.
I want to play adventures but I m not buying this when the rewards are like zayle and card back.
