Is this just copy pasted from the Mechathun page? Because you know how that turned out.
You're not wrong, but at least that card said "destroy your opponent" on it.
iRan some numbers on this and it is pretty interesting. It really significantly skews the importance of having more cards in your deck than your opponent. If all other things are equal, having one or two more cards in your deck than your opponent can have a big impact on who wins when both players have around 10 cards remaining in their decks. It also matters whose turn it dies on. Its better to have it die on your turn than your enemies turn because they have the first chance to draw the spell and start doubling. Definitely a helpful for dealing with high armor opponents when it goes to fatigue.
I should add that the importance of which turn it dies on is much higher with a few cards left than with like 10 cards left.
How does it work when you have only two copies of Corrupted blood in your deck? Are the effects stacked or queued?
Fatigue value games in-coming.
... only if the pirates allow it 😈
I love this card's design. Brilliant. I can't wait to experiment with it in tog druid. Finally a 10 Juicy Psychmelon drop.
Wait, does this fix fatigue to 3? It does not say draw a card after "cast when drawn".
No, the “Casts when Drawn” keyword was added to replace “Draw a card. Cast this when drawn” to simplify these tpyes of tokens’ text.
Dr. Morrigan Dark Pact > Hakkar, the Soulflayer Dark Pact
so if your opponent has no more card and you play this, it's letheal right?
Don't think it's immediate. Since it says "after you draw". E.g You draw this, resolve the effect. Then shuffle 2 additional copies if it into the deck. I'm not sure how multiple copies drawn will function however. My guess it's the same interaction. I could be wrong of course.
Not quite, since it doesn't say draw a card. It totally screws up top deck.
If your opponent has no cards and no fatigue counter when you play this, it essentially changes your fatigue so that instead of increasing by one per draw (1,2,3,4,5... damage) it is 4 times that amount (4,8,12,16,20... damage). This is true until your opponent shuffles any more cards into their deck, then it gets complicated.
Actually it scales a lot faster than that. Fourth draw into fatigue deals 28 damage. Without additional cards shuffled, Nth draw into fatigue (assuming first draw was the Corrupted Blood) deals 3 * 2^(N-1) extra damage on top of the N fatigue damage. Basically if you're a couple of turns ahead in fatigue and play this, you put your opponent on a very short timer.
Unlikely to be viable.
a quote from dave kosak on forbes article "Am I going to play a rogue and destroy my own deck so I get rid of it? Am I going to destroy my opponent's deck and then shuffle in the Corrupted Blood so they're dead instantly? You begin immediately mapping out degenerate ways you can take advantage of this mechanic, which we think is really fun."
Well this is an interesting card for sure. Pretty solid anti druid card since they like to draw a bunch, provided they don't obliterate you first
yes, now my big priest deck that only counters control decks will be complete
Is this the only draw you get or am I wrong?
Scroll of Wonder has "Draw a card" written so I guess it won't let you draw afterwards. Maybe they did this in order to avoid infinite damage in case you draw it when you have no cards in your deck except this one
It is new keyword cast when drawn, it always also draws a card after
