I don't hate it, it has it's own solidness in defending
unlike Ice Block and Evasion, this is a regular spell card that can be used for trading against minions you usually don't want to trade with. Paladins has the habit of trading with weapon most of the time when needed. And immune until your next turn is also very helpful to prevent major damage or lethal for a comeback.
1.) Rogue is never a control class obviously this card is for combo stalling / control freezing effect while Paladin can follow up with draws into equality the best Rogue can do is vanish (Assuming 4 horsemen & Maly rogue combo are on the same level)
2.) Prevent the first hit dmg This is critical Some may say Evasion is better because its a secret, which confuses your opponent with Sudden Betrayal Yet Evasion always risk taking the one hit blow that finish your off, while the major purpose of both cards are stalling, this risk is one too significant for certain
If Rogue "is never a control class", what is Kingsbane supposed to be? What about Academic/Burgle? What about Pogo Rogue? None of them shine in either early or mid-game. And yes, the last two are meme-builds but they still work decently well.
Another very interactive card.. Your opponent has the Mecha'thun combo next turn, or there is absolutely nothing to do against it. For Ice Block there were at least some ways to destroy or steal secrets in every expansions, against this there is nothing (and based on text, there probably won't be).
This game is becoming a joke. Too bad I spent too much money on it so I can't quit :(
You wouldn't run this in Odd Paladin, as it isn't an aggressive card, and you CAN'T run this in Even Paladin. Other Paladin decks... don't exist right now.
Furthermore, your hero is Immune, but your board is still very vulnerable. Paladin needs a board in order to actually take advantage of a free turn, they can't just double fireball your face after you kill all the mage's minions. Best they can do is pop a weapon, and their buff spells are useless if none of their minions survive.
Oh, but I'm not even done. For all the bitching people do about Ice Block, they forget that it failed to ever put Mage at Tier 1 or make the class "overpowered.", or at least it hasn't been that way for a LOOOOOOONNNNGGG time. You could reprint Ice Block and un-nerf Mana Wyrm and I still don't know that Mage would be in even the vicinity of being too strong. And here's the thing: Ice Block is significantly BETTER than this card. You're all seriously underestimating the ability to be able to play an Ice Block retroactively rather than this, which must be played proactively. It's less Mana you can use on your turn to play something to combat their board which is presumably already winning if you need to play this. And, as I already covered... this sort of thing is MUCH less effective in Paladin, which isn't a class that can just kill you with an empty board the way Mage can.
I quote Shakespeare. "Much Ado About Nothing." I honestly don't even expect this to see play as is, unless there are some cards printed that heavily support it.
I agree that it's not going to be as powerful as people think, but I also disagree that this card will see no play. It has synergy with Val'anyr, and might combo well with mech-deathrattle build using it.
Ok Yes its a shit card and wont squeeze into high end Ranked decks. But they have just announced 100 million players of this game, how many of them even care about rank, Maybe they are just happy to sit between Rank 25-50 and have some games trying a few cards out?
Val’anyr is a really sluggish card in general, a Time Out or two is even more mana to pay to slowly build a board that still gets shut down to silence, which nearly every deck has teched in right now. Furthermore, Mech Deathrattle Paladin is a meme fringe deck right now for a reason. It’s going to need a lot more help and support than just this to become a real competitive thing people actually play.
Will it actually get that support? Iunno. It’s not impossible. All I know is, these sorts of decks need a lot more than just Time Out to actually work.

I understand the concern, but mage and paladin are very different classes and ice block and this card a very functionally different. I'm willing to give it a shot.
well then that's stupid to say Val'anyr synergy, more like any weapon synergy.
Well this allow you to do combos like exodia, to complete enough spells to summon the meme shirvalla card and to land a kill.
Sounds good
Advantages:
Ice Block:
1- Forces all damage face to pop it, which can result in bad trades for the oponnent. Time Out allows perfect trades;
2- Has flexibility since it can be set up on any turn;
3- Doesn't need to predict lethal plays and cannot be misplayed;
4- Better sinergy with cards that restore life (Alextraza; Reno Jackson) and low Life (Moltem Giant);
5- Its also a secret, in order to play around something else, sometimes it may create suboptimal plays or even misplays;
Time Out :
1- Secrets can be destroyed, Time Out will always resolve once played;
2- Can prevent damage on its own turn as well (weapons, damage-to-hero minions);
3- It locks the health pool from damage, so it has the possibility to prevent more total damage then Ice Block.
If the wording is accurate, Time Out may be able to foil Time Warp.
Time out :
4. Unlike Ice Block is in standart
5. Prevents you from being targeted - that is actually a big deal since you are guaranteed the ability to attack with your weapon the next turn
6. you are immune to cards that do damage to your hero when played or to both heroes at the same time
7. It can't be set up, but the opponent also doesn't have the ability to play around it, unlike with ice block
8. Unlike iceblock it is unlikely you will die to fatique the next turn as you can heal meanwhile
I don't hate it, it has it's own solidness in defending

I can see this card in control decks for sure.

They are anti-Control decks.
I find it amusing that people instantly judge cards in new expansions that have had fewer than 20 cards announced
Yeah your right, I misread your comment.

Yes, that's what I wrote :)
Mechathun would still win.

I've killed many immune adventure bosses with Mecha'thun. It does kill them.
