October Card Nerfs Are Now Live!
The Hearthstone patch with this month's set of balance changes is now live. Three beloved cards have received cost increases and can now be disenchanted for their full value for the next two weeks.
- [Discuss this Change] Giggling Inventor now costs 7, up from 5.
- [Discuss this Change] Mana Wyrm now costs 2, up from 1.
- [Discuss this Change] Aviana now costs 10, up from 9.
We'll have the card changes updated in our database shortly.
Aviana *cough* *cough*
A single sacrifice made for the sake of the rest (UI, Spreading, Wild Growth, Wrath, etc.).
A single wild card lost doesn't make druid any less dominant in standard, and all this nerf means for wild is that Aligner combos require a single Innervate in hand to accomplish the play, adding one draw of time to the countdown in-match before they go off and OTK.
Technically a nerf, but in practice it's nothing to druid as a class
they nerfed psychomelon draw with it, thats pretty relevant
Seems completely legit. ;)
Regarding wild, you are partially wrong: it's not just that now you need innervate/coin, but that you can't draw your whole combo with just a single psycomelon. Time will tell, but that delay is probably too much to handle against decks such as Even Shaman, Odd Rogue or even Odd Paladin.
That's a good point. It was really important to kill Melon's consistency, so hopefully this cuts down on the deck's presence in the meta game.
I don't have anything against it existing or even doing well, but it's become the same as giants: hit that combo and man is it just the worst feeling to face 50+ potential damage
600+ dust incoming baby
Makes me glad that when I opened an extra golden Giggling Inventor, I didn't immediately dust it, but rather waited. Patience gets rewarded this time.
Me, too. Although, I DE 3 normal duplicates immediately. I will probably DE those 2 normal I still have.
it's about damn time
and here come all the comments with, "Why 2 mana!?" & "Yay giggling is dead".
Well they speak the truth.
The other thread blew up very quickly.
