Secret pala flashbacks..
But this card is bad.
I mean, it's already good as a 4/4 draw 1, since that's almost as good as Azure Drake and that card was busted. In a Hunter deck this can easily draw 2-3 secrets which is great value. the beast tag only adds to overall synergy (can also be used by Deathstalker Rexxar btw).
Currently viable Hunter Secrets are: Freezing Trap, Explosive Trap, Wandering Monster, Rat Trap, Snake Trap, Venomstrike Trap.
Obviously some lists run more than others, but as of now Hunter is the best cards to make use of secrets and this card would fit reasonably welll into midrange/aggressive decks. Although it might just end up not being consistent enough.
I don't know man. In a secret Paladin deck I honestly like Bellringer Sentry more, since you can run two of them. And in tempo Mage it seems like too big a tempo loss, especially when you are already running Arcanologist and only running 2 x Counterspell & 2 x Explosive Runes.
Then we are only left with midrange Hunter. In theory that is decent, but a Greater Emerald Spellstone is way better when played on turn 5 (4 with the coin) than on turn 7. Even as a deck-thinner I just don't think it is good enough.
If this somehow works in a Prince Liam deck with Bellringer Sentry, I will be happy.
Not gonna lie, I am quite pissed that no archetype of Paladin that's been tried to be pushed since Murlocs always ends up being a bust and wasted card slots.
Summon a 1/1 is the worst hero power for aggro/tempo, it does nothing for you the turn you play it. It's also one of the best hero powers for control because of the value it can bring - it can build a board without costing you cards
That's your golden legendary, fellow kids
Really cool artwork and name wasted RIP
Maybe it will bring new paladin archetype with 5 mana legendary which makes your 1 mana cards legenadry/
*Laughs in Professor Putricide*
A neutral legendary that deals with secrets?!
6 (5) out of 9 class think this is preposterous
You will love this card when un'goro rotates and tempo mage gets quite slower. Remember this words, friends.
Why is this revealed before the reveal time? I'm not mad, actually happy; just wanted to know why - did someone mess up?
Some Hunter decks run Rat Trap just to F with people.
Mage occasionally Spellbender for similar reasons.
And of course the current Paladin lists don't run any. They're aggressive AF.
Hopefully Rogue'll do more once they get additional, good secrets.
There's lots here for Standard. But there is definitely more weight to Wild and Arena this go around.
well Wild is in the best shape it's been in months, time to completely fk with the meta and shake things up :^). I'm kinda afraid of Druidstone cause of their 4 mana draw your win conditions card but other than that I love this expansion. Imma try to make a bunch of Mech decks with the older mechs and n'zoth rogue decks with all the card shuffle mechanics and 5 mana double play dead thing they gave us. already excited af
But why would someone play this instead of Mysterious Challenger?
Would've been cool if it generated few random secrets from any class and put in your hand. This way it wouldn't be restricted to few classes.
It's a 4/4 sprint that also tutors
autodust
"Ahh, Subject 9, my favorite pupil."
Because if they didn't do that they'd have to make it the first ever quad-class card? Why would they make legendary secrets for all classes??? If a shaman plays a secret, are you somehow not supposed to know which secret it is???????
