Blizzard's Off-Meta Deck Spotlight - June 13, 2018
Once again, Blizzard has posted three Legend decks with above average win rates that you should give a go!
Even Windfury Shaman [58.8% WR]
Kicking things off, we have a bit of a different take on a deck that has been seeing more popularity on the ladder recently: Even Shaman. Forgoing some of the early aggressive options typically seen in these builds, this deck emphasizes mid-game minions, with the aim of setting up for big late game plays with the likes of The Lich King and Al’Akir the Windlord.

Kingsbane Rogue [58.8% WR]
Kingsbane helped Rogues carve up the meta during Kobolds and Catacombs, but the Legendary Weapon hasn’t had the same level of impact since entering The Witchwood. This Kingsbane Rogue deck looks to get that edge back. Utilizing the arsenal of removal spells at its disposal, the deck focuses on managing the board until Valeera the Hollow comes into play, when it can truly take control thanks to its access to double the awesome options!

Elemental Mage [54.2% WR]
This tempo-style Elemental Mage has lots of great tools to help control the board and overwhelm opponents. It then utilizes the Mage class’ explosive spells to help clear the way for its minions to end the game. However, if opponents happen to survive until the late game, Frost Lich Jaina makes an appearance to help seal the deal.

Skulking Geist is pretty relevant these days. Naturalize for Taunt Druid, Shield Slam and Whirlwind in Quest/Taunt Warrior, Lost in the Jungle and Blessing of Might in Odd Pally. It goes on...
All pally secrets. Hunter's mark. Tracking. Yup. Good Ol' Geist.
Why not something like Kibler's elemental minion mage?
I know! It's great I love it too.
My guess, his deck is considered meta. Can't have a meta deck in the off-meta spotlight.
This site is really good aggregator of HS news. Any information by Team 5 is qualified as HS news. Also this deck probably does have a good winrate. Hatter is actually really good if your opponent has no minion.
Cryostasis in even shaman sounds like a pretty interesting idea. Synergizes with one cost totems, and Nat Pagle as well.
Let the memes commence!
Oh so that's the reason I played like 6 kingsbane rogues in a row lol I was so confused, like wtf I've literally played lime 2 kb rogue on this expansion and all this fuckers are running assasinate what's going on LOL i was trying to play cubelock and this shit kept popping up, after the third one on a row I said fuck it and switched to recruit hunter and proceeded to destroy all those hunters, I would say I regret dusting my kingsbane but I havent used it ever and I'm missing all the other legendaries and the doomerangs anyway, not worth all that dust when mjracle rogue is good at the exact same match- ups and it doesn't just auto-loses against aggro.
*Mad Hatter x2* o.o
Dude, do u even play with the decks u post in this site?
It is a copy of news post by blizzards... It is not his own creation...
I know...but that was not the question.
This site should be more original instead push bad stuff to new players.
No, probably not. There's a lot of news and decks that get posted. But yeah, 58.8% would beat out Odd-adin on HSReplay. So...
58.8% and do u really believe that? hahaha, right. Perhaps on low ranks and casual.
Uh, yes. I believe it. Not sure what section of the ladder you play on, but Even Shaman has a lot of really great matchups and I see it up around 5 with a fair bit of frequency.
I believe it says clearly at the top this decks are from legend. So they may not be what you see at the middle of the ladder. But where the good players are...
Kingsbane is probably better in Legend than anywhere else, because uo there less people care about ranking up and there is less aggro, and Kingsbane is (just like the Rogue Quest we all hate playing against) very polarizing, because it wrecks minion-baed control decks, and gets wrecked by aggro.
Throwback to the rock-paper-scissors meta of Gadgetzan anyone?
Meta is very control friendly right now. So punishing control decks is a viable strategy
And how does that relate to Kingsbane being anti-fun and polarizing?
Well there are always polarizing decks. But this one isn't that bad. People just don't realize that you can rush it down if you are minion based control deck. Just kill the rogue before kingsbane is buffed enough. You don't have to stick to control plan if it clearly doesn't work in the matchup.
Funny, Kingsbane has pretty bad winrate according to hsreplay, coz it suck to any aggro or tempo, but damn, its so oppressively to play against. Something is definitely wrong with that. I like concept, Kingsbane by itself is very elegant card, but 20-3 lifesteal weapon with all that bladefury and doomenargs is so much uninteractive.
Ironically, but I guess the main problem is Leeching Poison. Without lifesteal it can't be abuse so much like "every turn kill any minion, fully heal until your opponent doesn't have any treats and just finish it". And without life steal rogue cant rely only on Kingsbane, he need Vilespines, some minions, taunts and 20 attack is no more.
Im talking more about wild now, This standard deck looks less cancerous, 8-4 without Valeera and Vanish, but I dont know, didnt face any Kingsbane since new expansion. I believe its pretty much the same
