The Witchwood Cards HCT Pros Are Most Excited About
Blizzard asked some of the players competing in the Hearthstone Championship Tour about which cards they are most excited about from Witchwood. Here are their answers!
Quote from Kevin HovdestadThe Witchwood is upon us, coming right alongside the commencement of a new Hearthstone Year. At this moment of great upheaval, we polled some of your favorite competitive Hearthstone players about their favorite cards from the new set. Some of their answers may surprise you!
hunterace – Glinda Crowskin
Always eager for new tools to set up combo decks, Casper “hunterace” Notto is particularly excited about Glinda Crowskin. “Imagine this with Meat Wagon and Summoning Portals,” he says. “All minions having Echo—there’s so much power there.”
RDU – Chameleos
Dima “RDU” Radu loves the hand-revealing Chameleos above all. “It’s my favorite because it brings a cool new mechanic that can provide a competitive advantage to any deck that runs it,” he says. “It offers you a lot of information, but there will also be a turn where it gives you a super good play.”
Orange – Countess Ashmore
Jon “Orange” Westberg‘s fondness for The Curator—which enabled a bonanza of card draw in the right decks—knows no bounds. As a result, he’s all-in on Countess Ashmore. “Curator was one of my favorite cards ever,” Orange says. “Countess has even more flexibility, because it can get spells or weapons as well!”
DrJikininki – Mossy Horror
An admirer of exceptional artwork, Jace “DrJikininki” Garthright chose Mossy Horror on the strength of its presentation alone. “The artwork and sounds are incredible, on top of the fact that I love his removal effect.”
Raven – Darius Crowley
Stay tuned for a deeper dive into Alexander “Raven” Baguley’s thoughts on the new Hearthstone Year. For now, Raven is content to share his thoughts on the Warrior legendary, Darius Crowley.
“You can play him quite regularly,” Raven says. “There are lots of ways to draw Rush minions, too, so he feels like a lot of fun to include in a deck.”

I LUL everytime when i see this hs "pro" phrase LUL .
I'm curious what Raven's doing here in this list.
Look at the calendar - what year is this? - I mean ... they had to include him ^^
The card i was excited about was Phantom Militia, because i thought it would make quest warrior viable. Tried it of course and it turned out to be good. I am so happy that i was right: (honorary mentions for Warpath and Rotten Applebaum)
They're not big flashy cards, but Rotten Appelbaum and Sound the bells have been really good for me so far.
Rotten Applebaum is amazing EVERYWHERE, except aggro. Perfect card tbh, probably Kobold Librarian level good.
Anyone have success with Mossy Horror?
In the Shaman deck below Mossy Horror has been good at removing small minions and recruits before Odd Paladin can buff them. Also works in removing small taunts for extra face damage. Usually this come at a cost of sacrificing a token or a Flametongue Totem
"Pros"
The ones who can play Netdecks better than anyone else!
"comment"
The ones who can complain better than anyone else!
Alright can we somehow please define the word „pros“? Because some of them are just known by name but aren‘t really shining anywhere. I‘d say that you should consider pros by top 16 of any region from quarter to quarter and forget about everyone else. Dude that‘s advertisement for someone who isn‘t doing shit there. People like Ekop or Gaara (I know they aren‘t listed here but still) who just play meta decks aren‘t really people who should be considered as pros
I would take it just literally and say a "pro" is a "professional player" which means that person's income mostly comes from playing HS.
Why are people so obsessed with this? Are semantics THAT near and dear to your heart? Just... get over it.
