Goodluck have a board past turn 8 in a matchup you really need it aka vs warlock
you're right, I see it coming, right before you play this weapon Lord Godfrey is gonna vaporize your whole board
Really good, if you get it off a random effect that is.
Might be decent as a 1 of in a Midrange deck. Way too slow for the aggro variants.
I really don't think this is as bad as people think.
If you already have a board on turn 8, this is something you can do that will stop you from spending more resources into your opponent's board clears, but also gives you a strong play, and makes your reloads even more powerful.
I gonna say it: underrated card of the set, so far.
Paladin has only a few board wide vuffs without specific tribe (murlocs/silver hand) it's alsoa class that can easily refill the board. I can see this card being played in dude paladin.
I thought it was real, but wish it wasn't.
I think I'd rather just Vinecleaver+Tarim, but it could definitely be useful in Arena...
Why not 11 mana?
Wow, an aggro pally card...that costs 8 mana.
I like it, if it you have a big board of little minions and can make favorable trades with your minions surviving it can snowball badly
cool card for a budget dude paladin (its like a worse Tarim)
seems decent, not for constructed play , but decent
Damn, 8 mana card countered by 2 mana card...pretty bad swing
By that logic Skull of the Man'ari would be garbage because it's a 5 mana card which is countered by a 2 mana card (in that case with nothing to show for it). Reality is that people don't always have an ooze in hand.
Difference is that people usually only run one ooze in their deck, so the odds of them having it on five is ~30%, give or take draw/cycle cards.
Now, board clears, on the other hand, tend to take up a third of these new slow decks' slots, so the odds of them having one is more like 70%. Not only that, but Silver Sword comes out on turn 8, at which point many decks have already drawn 15 of their 30 cards, if not more. This means that the odds of something like, say, a Warlock having Hellfire or Defile or even Twisting Nether is basically 100%. But really, by turn 8, against most warlocks, you have already lost because three Doomguards are hitting your face or are about to in two turns when Bloodreaver Gul'dan comes down, and the Warlock is at full HP somehow because ha-ha isn't having 30 HP worth of healing on cards that practically pay you to use them fun?
Personally, I have a simple metric for evaluating cards this expansion. Does it read "Silence and kill a demon?" No? Then it will lose to Cubelock anyways, so why even bother. I'm a little bitter as a fan of slower, more value-focused Midrange Paladin decks. Can you tell?
Basically what I'm saying is, if this card is ever used enough, ie it became meta, ooze would tske care of that very fast. Maybe someday even double ooze will make it's way into decks. That's why I think the card is so underwhelming.
Really strong effect, but might be a little too expensive at 8 mana.
I'm not gonna write this one off, though. People are wrong about cards all the time.
could see play in dude-a-din? Don't know, but it seems the only archetype for it.
Assassin's Blade with 4 ticks of Mark of the Lotus. Great for arena but idt will make it to constructed.
Hm... Interesting name..
