Possible Naxx Pricing Structure Leak
This information has not been officially announced by Blizzard. Also important to note that the information about the last wing also does not match previous information. The image is circulating Chinese sites. Please keep in mind none of this information is verified.
Update:
Quote from @ZeriyahWe haven't announced anything just yet regarding pricing for Naxx. Once we have details to share, we'll discuss them on official channels.

We understand that a lot of people are excited for the release of Curse of Naxxramas — we are too! However, we haven't announced anything just yet regarding pricing for the upcoming Adventure. Once we have further details to share, including pricing, we'll let everyone know via our official channels.
A wild slide has appeared! A number of websites in China have picked up an image of a slide which contains the pricing information for the upcoming Hearthstone adventure, the Curse of Naxxramas.
According to the image, all of Naxxramas will cost 5,000 Gold, or $90 USD (¥558). The image also states that wing prices will decrease by 100 gold by completing objectives in a previous wing. See below for a wing price breakdown.
Wing | Bosses | New Cards | Gold Price | USD Price | Yuan Price |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Arachnid Quarter | 3 | 4 | Free | Free | Free |
Plague Quarter | 3 | 4 | 500 | $9 | ¥55.8 |
Contruct Quarter | 4 | 6 | 1,000 | $18 | ¥111.6 |
Military Quarter | 3 | 5 | 1,500 | $27 | ¥167.4 |
Frostwyrm Lair | 2 | 6 | 2,000 | $36 | ¥223.2 |
Naxxramas pricing seems much higher than the community feels it should be. What's your take on it?
I think the price is fair, if it is reduced by 100 gold per objective complete.
If one boss is one objective, this is how much each wing would cost if all previous ones were completed.
Arachnid Quarter: Free
Plague Quarter: 200 Gold
Contruct Quarter: 400 Gold
Military Quarter: 500 Gold
Frostwyrm Lair: 700 Gold (although I thought I read somewhere that it was free)
At a total of 1800 gold, I don't think the price is to steep. Just grind daily quests for the five weeks an you should have nearly enough for all of them.
I'm not sure that's how Blizzard is pricing the adventure ... but if it were, that would be an interesting way to go about it.
What are you not sure about?
obviously fake. most crucial giveaway being last wing costs money. it will be free. that's been confirmed by blizzard themselves. Another thing, naxx would never ever sell if it cost 90 dollars.
Confirmed where? The last wing was never free. Source?
dunno why you'd say something so uninformed. http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Curse_of_Naxxramas last wing is unlocked for FREE upon completing the others.
I think you are the uninformed one. That is not a source. Where did Blizzard say the last wing would be free? They didn't. They said the last wing would be unlocked on completion of the others. You are reporting assumptions as fact.
"Jason Chayes: Yeah, we’ll be running it over the course of a month. So the idea is week one rolls around and you’ll get access to the Arachnid quarter and dueling the bosses there. Then week 2 rolls around they’ll play through that quarter and then week 3 and week 4 will be the construct quarter. Once you defeat that as a bonus for defeating them you get to open up the final last quarter which will be a little bit different from the previous ones since there will only be 2 bosses."

The deduction of free comes from many sources (and this recap mentions the word free: http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/456-curse-of-naxxramas-recap-wednesday-limited). I really think its safe for us to infer that if you have to unlock the final wing by beating the other four, it will no doubt be free. To add to this, the other three wings come out in the following weeks, but it doesn't say you have to beat one to unlock the ability to purchase the next, you're able to tackle them in any order, just like the original release of Naxx (I believe now you only have to defeat one quarter and then you get to skip to the final). Ultimately, first and last quarters are free. I'm sure Blizzard knows if they make people pay for the last, after they finished handing out money or grinding up gold for the other three and then the grueling/easy process of beating them, they will get major complaints.
I thought a blue post said that the last wing will be free if you complete all 4 other wings?
That's what I thought was said ... but they might have only said that the Frostwyrm Lair is only unlocked once the other four quarters are completed. We might have interpreted that to mean free. They might not have said free. I can't locate the original statement from Blizzard, though, on Frostwyrm Lair.
It was an interview at PaxEast.

A "bonus" does not include for me that you need to pay 35$ or 2000gold.
Guys I'm very sure the pricing is incremental. So its $36 for the entire pack.
Then why does it say $90 total? The far right box calculates the total costs.
Because they misinterpreted the data they received.
There's no way in hell that Blizzard is going to charge $90 for a mini-expansion. That's entirely not in line with their pricing on expansions and full games.
Pretty sure, its just going to be $9 USD a wing if this structure is correct.
I started saving the day Nax was announced, I'm up to 2980 gold.
5000 gold for the whole thing is a completely reasonable price.
90$ is fine also. If you don't save up any gold, but want to buy ever wing of Nax right when it comes out, then good for you. PAY UP!
Most people will probably buy 3 wings with gold and 2 wings with cash .. Nothing is wrong with this model.
Start saving, you'll be fine.
Are you rich? $90 for a free to play card game? WoW in its entirety doesn't even cost $90...and its an actual MMO.
3 wings with gold and 2 wings with cash do not add up if you've been paying attention to info...or even this page itself.
The first wing is to be FREE. Even the picture says that...so that eliminates a wing with gold or a wing with cash.
The last wing is to be FREE, because you get that as a reward for beating all other wings. They've already stated this. So it eliminates another wing with gold or a wing with cash.
So 5K or $90 for three wings and 30 cards is fine? Hahahaha.
Its $9 per wing... total $36 or 2k gold to complete Naxx.
for 90 some dollars that curse of naxx better give me 100+ hours of gametime of its content alone + cards. As much as this is a card game its a video game, and 90 dollars in a video game should have more content then your average video game.
