Armor druid PogChamp
Your turn to bleed!
Injured Blademaster says hi!
First card that comes to mind is that 4 cost 36 taunt that can only attack when you have more than 3 armor. Even Trump can't stand that value!
Twilight Guardian can attack freely and has the dragon tribal tag. It’s crazy to compare the two.
Think about it this way, you play a 4 mana 3/6 taunt on curve which also gains you 6 armor. The armor, unless your opponent uses burn, cannot break the armor without going through the taunt first. You only need 3 of that armor to attack if the taunt lives. The card Trump compared Ironwood Golem to was Saronite Chain Gang, but the gang doesn't function well with the recruit mechanic very well.
In the end, there's an obvious intended synergy here. It's alright, but it won't be enough to make armor druid a thing. Still better than pulling senjin.
Tauren druid portrait confirmed (?)
Just kidding the next druid hero it's going to be Silverback Patriarch, because Nemzy
Woah, buddy, calm down.
Blizzard still have to go through Stubborn Gastropod, Murloc Tinyfin and Magma Rager.
It's a less flexible, less consistent Jinyu Waterspeaker in exchange for forgoing to overload. It's fine, I suppose.
Shield Maiden was a 6 mana 5/5 that gained 5... The new warrior random item can be a gain 5 and a 5/5 for 6... So this is very strong as a far as things go.
Both of those are severely underpowered nowadays, though.
This card is bloody broken. It gets you 6 Armor AND drops a minion, and Druids hardly have any 4 or less cost minions outside of Jade Spirit and Fandral.
But it's tough to get exactly the minion you want with this card, and you have to build your deck without small early game dudes, and you probably can't run good battle cries for Mana costs 1-4. You can do a few neat things with it but I wouldn't say it's broken.
It's a good card don't get me wrong. An extra 6 health for your 4 drop and you get to think your deck and trigger any cards that need armor? Not bad by any means. It's just that I can only see it decks that utilize the ironbark golem and the spellstone. Restricting what cards you can use for just an extra 6 health isn't something I would do.
I wonder if there is a potential deck where you are willing to give up Mire Keeper for something you'd like to pull with this. I wanna guess that it won't see play right away but it feels like a card we all rediscover once the Jades and Kazakus' of the world rotate in April...
Consider me a fan as Druid seems to actually prefer starting their curve of minions at 4+.
Fandral maybe? Probably not though, they dont even need it turn 4 anymore that much.
I believe it will be as you say, but not because there are good 4 drops to be pulled out already, rather they will be added in this expansion and the next. The thing about recruiting stuff in druid is that most of your early power comes from either battlecries or choose one's, the minions themselves are garbage, so you'd either have to give druid new 4-or-less mana minions that don't rely on that or find something worth trying among the neutrals, and right now the best outcome is something along the lines of tar creeper. Ain't half bad, but not really exciting either
Possibly one of the coolest and strongest build arounds of the set.
Seems broken tbh, what?
