ALL Wild Hearthstone Sets are Returning
Old card sets are returning for purchase once more! Finally, newer players can play through the awesome Naxxramas and Blackrock Mountain adventures and experience Mechs en masse!
- Sets will be purchasable through the Battle.net website, not the in-game store.
- Likely only real life currency and not gold as the Battle.net website doesn't allow for gold purchases at this time.
- This will be extra awesome with the guaranteed no dupe Legendaries.
The sets that will be returning are:
- Curse of Naxxramas
- Goblins vs Gnomes
- Blackrock Mountain
- The Grand Tournament
- The League of Explorers
This announcement breaks an hour before the Hearthstone Wild Open begins.
Quote from BlizzardIf you yearn to return to the Wild, we have some good news for you!
In the coming weeks, ALL Wild sets—including Expansions and Adventures—will once again become available for purchase* on the Blizzard Shop at https://battle.net/shop/product/game/hearthstone!
The Wild calls to some. Maybe it’s the limitless potential of building a deck with any card at all. Perhaps it’s the allure of truly disgusting combos that were never meant to be. Some have never experienced Kel’thuzad’s legendary snark first-hand, or felt the searing heat of Blackrock Mountain (♪ a Hearthstone Adventure ♫)!
Whatever calls to you, get a taste of it by catching the Hearthstone Wild Open this weekend! Brush up on those survival skills by watching some of Wild’s finest players square off in the first official Wild tournament!
The quarterfinals begin today, July 1 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Catch the semifinals and finals tomorrow, July 2, also starting at 10:00 a.m. PDT.
Watch the Wild action unfold on the official Hearthstone Twitch channel.
*Products will be available for purchase at regular price.
Can be aquired with WoW gold kappa
Access to legacy content they didn't even have to bring back? Wow, someones scraping the bottom of the barrel for things to complain about.
You do know you can craft all the cards that come from the Adventure if you only want the cards and none of the boss fights and encounters. They made it so those items are considered DLC to an extent, while making it so you can craft any card in the set.
What's the problem exactly? It's not free to play? It is, just if you want to experience the stories told in the Adventures, you'll be happy to support them and pay to play special content. It's not required whatsoever that you pay money to get the cards. Again, I ask, what's the problem exactly?
Want a Kel'Thuzad from an Expansion you have to buy? 1600 dust. Bam.
Who said that f2p games can't have paid content that do not give you an advantage over other players? As far as I know that doesn't disqualify a game from being f2p. All of the cards are obtainable through in game crafting so buying the adventures does not give you any advantages. You can still play even at the highest levels of the game regardless of whether you spent money or not.
You're definition of f2p is different than what f2p actually means I think.
I only play Wild when I'm drunk anyway.
Every day gets harder and harder to hate on EA.
Guys, can we stop the hate on this small multi billion dollar indie company?
is this thing out yet? i dont see anything in the blizzard shop or in the game.
I hoped they will be in half prices or half dust, it is not fair to be the prices similar to the standard. At least like Unguru bonuses with 10$ less.
I have every single card, but I suffered a little when collecting GVG for that I understand how the new players were passing while trying to collect them. Adventures is so hard to collect by dust :(. you need at least 200 Packs to complete an expansion.
I hoped if they put free card rotation to be tested by player then you can choose more wisely.
wow amazing....they actually did listen to what ppl were asking for about an year...so excited you can buy it with go...oh wait forgot this is blizzard.reminds me of watto from star wars''ONLY MONEY.NO MONEY NO PARTS NO DEAL''
Why were you all complaining if you didnt want blizzard to make a change? Wild sets are back and now its all "Blizzard is greedy." Im sorry that Blizzard did what you thought you wanted them to....
No, they knew exactly what we wanted. We wanted to be able to buy them like we used to. Instead they have chosen to only make them available for money. People would also complain if they were only available for gold and not money.
Which was done so that new players didnt accidently buy the old packs.
This is so simple to prevent. Just put a giant label "THIS IS A WILD SET, ITS CARDS CAN ONLY BE USED IN WILD MODE". That would take a developer like 1 minute.
No, it was done to create artificial scarcity and promote standard as the default mode. Do we need to stop people "accidentally" buying the largely unplayed Old Gods packs?
Of course as Snorlax said, a simple warning would suffice. Perhaps even a wild and standard switch like in play mode.
