    Be warned if you are going to craft Cube Lock without knowing alot about it. This deck in my opinion is very tricky to properly operate. But if you want to learn, it is capable of doing some pretty silly plays.

    I have tried everything I can think of to make this matchup SEMI tolerable. Meaning all the usual AOE and board clears and adding 2x Siphon Soul and 2x Blastcrystal Potion and it just doesnt seem to matter I just cannot win this matchup.

     

    I am currently rank 5 and choosing Control Warlock as my deck of choice. Sadly I am running into a lot of Big Priests. Can someone who may understand this matchup better give me some tips? I have probably a 20% win rate against it, if that =/

     I am aware of this. The difference of skill between players from ranks around like rank 8 compared to 5 is extremely noticable. I suppose the same is said when comparing rank 5 with 2 or 1. The biggest problem I am having is deciding on having 1 or 2 Possessed Lackey in my deck. When I use 1 I never have my Voidlords in my hand but when I play with 2 they always get in my hand and become useless.

     Thanks for the advice. The only other deck I have than Control Warlock is Spell Hunter and I cannot stand it. Control Lock is a weird deck for me to play. I either queue into the game and feel very relaxed and comfortable or feel the opposite. Feelings of not having enough life or too many cards in my hand and that makes me play worse. I rarely lose vs aggro. I do good in the mirror match but Cube Lock, Mage, and Big or Combo Priest I just dont play well.
     
    I very much like 2x Gnomeferatu. Burning certain cards can just almost instantly win you the game (played against a Rogue and burned his Kingsbane and he instantly conceded.
     
    I am playing about 10 hours a day. I guess we will see what happens.

     Thanks. I mean shit I understand that to most people this metagame is pretty unappealing with more than half the players playing Warlock Priest or Paladin. I get that, but to have someone say a certain deck is "mindless" or takes no skill upsets me. I shouldnt let it get to me, but screw you trolls. Perhaps I am not as good as you but I am trying hard this season and the funny part is it doesnt matter what deck I use there is always going to be some fool talking out of his ass.
     
    I dont care what anyone says. Control Warlock is NOT a mindless deck. It may not be up there with old Miracle Rogue or Patron Warrior, but you tap one time too many or dont draw your healing vs mage, or your AOE against aggro, might as well concede.

     I get that but the 55% winrate I have is a very small sample size. I have played maybe 8 games at rank 5 so its definetly doable, just need to play alot and win more.

    I dont remember the last time I lost to any Paladin. Again the fundamentals of the deck may not be complex but it has HORRIBLE matchups like Secret Mage, Big Priest, Jade Druid, and Control Warrior (not that many people play that) but all I am saying is this metagame fits my style. Thats all.

     

    NO deck is truly mindless. If it were anyone could get legend, yet legend consists of the top 99.5% of players or so? Yeah clearly they gt legend rank because they picked Control Warlock. Has nothing to do with the fact that whatever deck you play you are going to need to play it well.

     

    How about people rank 20-10 thats like 75% of players. How many tens of thousands of people are playing mostly Control Lock? Why arent they at legend bro? After all its a mindless deck right? Are you legend rank? Lets see some proof if you are. After all it cant be too hard right?

     

    I view CW as honestly "fairly" risky to grind with. Alot of decks can get away with not drawing proper cards. CW cannot. Have fun against a Secret Mages When you dont draw heals. Have fun getting milled by those annoying ass Rogues and having the potential to almost instantly lose if certain cards get burned. I debate just leaving when I queue vs Big Priest. You could run 2x Siphon Souls and 2x Blastcrystal potions and it still wouldnt be enough.

     

    Whatever.

     Last I checked cubelock and controllock actually required thinking to pilot. You're thinking of Spiteful Summoner decks.
     That or he just cant win vs Control Warlock and is just mad. Which given his post would not make since as CW is a "brainless deck"

     I used to play Miracle Rogue back in the day before nerfs and that is arguably the hardest deck ever built to play, that or Patron Warrior. I played pre-Argent Tournament Handlock, Reno Mage, and post Argent Tournament control warrior. Those were all tier 1 decks. I dont like Cube warlock because its too combo'ey. No reason to play Control Warrior because it doesnt beat much. I cannot stand playing aggro decks. So yeah, maybe the strategy of Control Warlock isnt very complicated but you make it sound like the deck is OP and it isnt.
    Anyways I went from 10 to 5 with about a 65% win rate now that im at 5 I am about 50-50. Sadly CW is the only deck I have at the moment so I dont have the luxury of swapping classes to play against what I am seeing the most.

    I have been a hearthstone player since open beta. I follow pro HS and watch a lot of streamers. I never bothered actually trying to reach legend until this season

     

    I really like the metagame. I am climbing with a Control Warlock deck and this morning reached rank 5 which is the best ive ever reached. Struggling the most against Big Priest and Secret Mage. I see probably 20% warlock 25% Priest 20% Paladin and just random other classes for the rest.

    I just want to reach legend one time so I can say im in the upper 99.5% or so of players lol.

    I remember reading that they are changing packs, basically making them better but I do not know if this has happened yet. I want to buy some packs and get guaranteed legendary cards!
