Originally I was stunned and disappointed to hear about these changes; as a fan of playing Priest I love using Zombie Chow] and [card]Velen's Chosen in my decks. I am still a little saddened because as many people have already mentioned, Wild format will most likely disappear eventually and just not be a mode to play anymore once a critical mass of cards is reached (in my opinion). I am glad they are keeping what we're currently playing as "Wild" because that's all I'll be playing, but removing adventures and the related card packs from the store seems like a silly move. I think Standard will definitely force players to think creatively and it will undoubtedly keep things fresh, but I guess we have to wait and see.
Here is my entry. I don't know if the mana cost is reasonable at all, to be honest. I wanted to make a card based on my namesake (Michael) and purposefully wanted to make a minion that could make a very annoying board for your opponent. Dropping this on the board alongside some damaged minions then playing a Holy Nova your next turn not only gets your board healed but almost all your minions will get Divine Shield (including this one). I also purposefully made it so that even when you heal yourself with your hero power you still get the effect ;-)
Thought it fit an archangel archetype well, as a healer and protector.
Here are my (first-ever) entries. They probably aren't balanced but I'm still learning how to make realistic, playable Hearthstone cards haha. I'm a huge Zelda fan and decided on using these characters with pretty simple effects.
I thought about making them Warlock cards but their effects made me think of the Mage class (especially Kotake). Here's also the flavor text for them, taken from OoT:
Koume: With my flame, I will burn you to the bone!
Kotake: With my frost, I will freeze you to the soul!
If there's ever another competition I would tweak these a bit to maybe summon a Twinrova card if they are killed at the same time.
I have a question...this is the first time I'm considering submitting something and I am not familiar with the world of WoW or other Blizzard games. Do card submissions have to use existing Blizzard characters? Or can I use art or characters from some other franchise, or make something up, like a dragon-like creature with an original name?
Thanks!
I am literally about to submit a couple of my favorite Marvel Universe characters. There is no thematic restriction, at least not for this specific competition. Besides, since TGT, Hearthstone itself has introduced plenty of original characters with no previous Warcraft history. You're fine. =)
Thanks! I also looked through the submissions thread and got my answer from there haha. Good to hear from the mod though!

Great deck for someone like me who hasn't played a Dragon deck before :)

This deck helped me win on Normal, so thanks! Easy to play.

I've had the most success with these:
Warrior: Target Dummy + Bolster
Mage: Frost Nova + Faerie Dragon
Anyone: Mechwarper + Micro Machine

That would be a lame nerf -_-

One of my favorite brawls :)

This is one of the more enjoyable Brawls for me. An easy win as Priest once I got a Holy Champion on the field :)

For me it'll be Sludge Belcher and Velen's Chosen the most, probably... :(

Umm...NO! I think the OP is just another person who is sick of losing and wants something else in the game to be nerfed.
