Yeah, it's the obvious solution. Everyone that understands the game has been preaching this. I am 100% sure the devs are aware. There have to be reasons other than gameplay why they won't do that. Maybe stats show they make more money this way.
is it just me or is this tavern brawl almost unbeatable because the decks you are provided with are utter trash? lost to first opponent with priest, pala, dk and warrior, lost to second opponent with dh
i feel like you could take any random DK spell, make it one mana more expensive and it would still be better than any removal card they ever printed for warrior.
same with priest and healing. best heals available in standard: flash heal (5), location (2x3). meanwhile average blood DK: gains 30 additional health, heal for 5+ every single turn.
why don't they remove the other classes all together, if DK and DH cards are way way stronger than other classes' cards by default?
Uther + Jailor is quite strong; beat it by one horsemen. Rune casted objection and his Reno got burnt or that was an L. If it draws Order in the court early I imagine it's way stronger. I had no finishers drawn until jailor was played but Mordesh & Kel then that objection beat him down enough.
if you survive 5 turns after jailor is played aren't you winning anyways? i feel like the normal jailor variant with cariel is more consistent since it keeps you alive longer
I am curious what kind of decks you've been trying and testing since they rotated KoFT back into the Core Set!
So far i've played around with Prince Keleseth Token Druid (Crypt Lord ftw) and an bit more control styled Demon Curse Lock with the old DK.
What are your ideas for fun new standard decks? I've sorely missed OTK Uther, but sadly there is not a lot of support for the heropower/combo, besides Brewmasters and the anti-synergy with Cariel sucks so i didn't attempt doing that yet. I put Chillblade Champion into a Jailer Pala deck tho and it fits very well :)
Hunter seems pretty straight-forward, just slap Deathstalker Rexxar into any deck and maybe go for some deathrattle synergy.
Mage? Hmm, idk, maybe worth a try, because Frost Lich Jaina is cool, but not sure if there is enough elemental support.
I bet there is some combo potential with Valeera the Hollow, Thief Rouge could be a fun thing to explore.
Let me know your thoughts!
Edit: Evolve Shaman could be pretty strong, probably gonna give that a try tomorrow.
The question is why you are matched by MMR rather than rank. This practice makes the rank system bullshit.
easy answer: people like comparing themselves. ranks are an easy and clear metric to do that. people enjoy climbing the ranks and feeling progress. it makes them spend more time in the game, which eventually incentivizes spending money.
but you still need an mmr system in the background, that is truthful and not just for show and boostig your ego, to enable reasonably fast and reasonably accurate matchmaking.
So now they're just shoving out patches without announcing the changes first? Make up your mind.
As predicted, they undid their buff on Edwin, because they do absolutely zero playtesting anymore before they shove changes out the door.
[...]
I predicted half these nerfs on the thread two weeks ago, was downvoted, and told it was a "very cringe list." And yet here those changes are, because the cards were indeed broken.
Match everyone with their counter decks because when everyone has a high loss rate, that motivates to buy more packs. Even those with full collections.
PS: I wonder how long this will be a conversation before the patent is mentioned and it gets locked like the rest of these threads.
i never understood how some people can unironically think this is true haha. makes zero sense. it's always two players. one looses, one wins. so the median winrate is always 50%. for every game you get hard countered and lose, your opponent has a game where they hard counter you and get an easy win. it is impossible to match everyone with a counterdeck since every match has to have a winner

are the decks randomised? half the card choices seem to make no sense

immune nerf is huge. better paladin matchup vs druid. normally if they drop onyxia you lose, now you can set her to 1/1

good news for you, wildseeds have already been nerfed in October

hunter is fine after the weapon and wild seeds nerfs. it's not dominant anymore which was the point of the nerfs.

i don't think this is enough to make priest a playable class. but maybe quest priest will rise from 35% to 45% WR so i guess there is that at least

shouldn't control pala absolutely demolish demon hunter?
