Has anyone thought of the possibilty that you can just play this on turn 3? It kinda has taunt.. and not so many classes can deal 4 damage at once that early in the game
Thats not the issue,, ive tried pirate warrior and its a monster, ive hit legend with control warrior last season, its grindy and it beats a good chunk of the meta.. but survival is not really a way to go as of late, survival and control did not receive cards that support that archetype in the last couple of expansions (except Ghoul Maybe) and not a lot of cards outside of classic generate a lot of value for warrior.. considering the theme behind the last two expansions ( Old Gods and Tri-class)
You can see the strength and viability of current warrior archetypes, but its fading.. thats my point :)
Wait so your point you really wanted to get across is that you are whining about Team 5 pushing for diversity? All of a sudden I went from thinking 'this might be a troll' to 'this IS a troll'.
How was i trolling or whining?? I acknowledge the diversity, but diversity did not see the class gain power nor new archetypes. so i expect some powerful or more value oriented cards in the upcoming period that push away from already existent decks.. and Team 5 has put it out there more than once that they want the change the staleness and the ever-present control warrior... i am not whining nor am i trolling.. every once in a while you will see some classes shine and others not.. everybody knows that..
i was asking for a discussion so i might gain more knowledge and insight...
After i opened this thread now i can see that other classes will lose strong archetypes and so will warrior and some will gain.. but warrior is in a difficult spot because either they push for survival and slow decks or it will be scrapped..
1. Control warrior was good back during classic already due to having arguably the STRONGEST hero power in the game.
2. Pirate Warrior is based more on recent cards than on cards such as Sir Finley Mrrgglton and there's a great deal of flexiable cards that Pirate warrior can choose between.
3. Control warrior is still quite good, at least judging by folks who play at high legend ranks at the very least considering you see a few of 'em up there.
Warrior is not left in a bad spot after the rotation and stating that its dead or dying on such an arbitary reason... No. This is not gonna be the case since well, warriors have the strongest hero power for survival and have had it since Classic - not just after TgT.

Warrior's Hero power is made for survival, and it is the BEST at it. CW is made to outlast the opponent. If you could reactive perfectly as a Mage can with the same armor that makes you very hard to kill, CW would be OP.
Your title names Warrior in general, while here you're pretty much saying CW is dead. Warrior is NOT just CW, the same way Mage is NOT just Freeze Mage (and one could they those two decks are pretty much in the same situation). Be thankful Warrior always has at the very least more than one viable deck type each expansion. Other Classes can hardly say the same.
CW is capable of smashing Aggro quite hard. And Aggro is nowadays a strong component of the meta. So that CW should be a good anti-meta deck. Not the best out there, but still definitely viable.
You can't expect your deck to be the best in any matchup. Especially if your archetype is an old Evergreen one (again, see Freeze Mage).
You are somewhat right regarding the title, but what i meant by including aggro is that other classes could get it better by regards to the hero power... and the absence of finley
and to your first point, thats the main idea,, outlasting opponents is very hard because of the value other classes can come up with, my only way for doing that other than two brawls was with a Sleep With the Fishes, and a coldlight oracle against the extra slow decks to burn some cards.. and grimestreet informer.. maybe though blizzard is going for the aggro/midrange in the upcoming period. new legendary does not help much.. and you cannot go highlander with warrior
It's rather easy to build a defensive midrange warrior that easily beats any aggro deck currently on the ladder. The only thing holding that archetype back is the fact that it simply looses to control/reno decks which are incredibly popular at the moment. One would assume that this is going to change once reno rotates out of standard early this year.
Control Warrior as an archetype does suffer from a bunch of rather huge issues though, mainly the fact that the Alex+Grom Combo the deck once was build around is simply too slow/inefficient to be a real win condition nowadays. If control Warrior becomes popular again it will most likely shift to a more grindy N'Zoth kind of archetype.
Still Warrior isn't the problem, the current meta is. Thats how card games work, certain archetypes will be favoured or not favoured by the meta and rise of fall in popularity due to that fact. Doesn't mean that archetypes are dying or a whole class is in trouble though, one or two decent cards in the next expansion and warrior might have a bunch of archetypes again.
Remember Warriorstone just a few months ago?
i Do actually hehe.. and yea ur absolutley right.. its easy to make a warrior deck that dumps on aggro, but you will forsake the chances of beating slow decks
Hi guys, i want to hear ideas or discuss the Warrior class..
So, warrior's only decent archetype is aggro right now, whether its pirate or dragon..
Control is weak against most of the matches (even with hunter.. the oppressor out of the equation).. Typical control warrior can find it extremely difficult to out-value any jade deck, priest with entombs.. ive tried brann with 2 grimestreet informer (very versatile card) just to have a chance and i found some success,... a sober reno warlock player can win alot of times thanks to jaraxxus and the burst combo
Aggro decks nowadays has soo much tools that it is difficult to balance your deck with antiaggro, draw, and lategame cards in a control deck.. you can win easily yeah,, but you cant beat any slower deck with just 3-4 legendaries (say Gromm, Justicar, Sylv and another lategame Value legendary)
now to aggro.. its amazing and powerfull.. people are ranting about Reno jackson leaving,,, what about Finley,, one of the most amazing cards in Hearthstone.. i wont continue much but you get the idea.. leaving warrior with that weak hero power, (the weakest you might argue), with ONLY one card that interacts with it (Shield Slam), and not adding any value-oriented cards to enable Midrange decks or empower control a bit will make it the weakest class next expansion..
and yeah most classes have discover mechanics that wreck a slow Warrior deck as well the gist is.. warrior is a lot weaker in the lategame, and will continue to be weaker in aggro than shaman and others (Hero Power that does not interact), especially with finley leaving...
Its not ranting,, but i if someone can show me some things i dont see ill appreciate it, its a discussion after all
very high-level power card.... this then finja or any +2-3 costed murloc on turn four... its a free minion for a deck archetype that would rather pay health instead of mana to gain tempo
This always happens before an expansion... i am a casual player who loves the flavor and game-play of Hearthstone.. i dont play a lot and i do not grind unless on days where i really in the mood for Hearthstone... People are talking about a decline in quality and laziness and lack of creativityfrom Blizzard's part.. This comes after the expansion that totally shifted the entire "Meta" of Hearthstone... WoToG... almost every popular deck is highly influenced by it and innovative deck creators have used almost all of it...
One night in karazhan is not even out yet... it will not do the same effect as 45 cards will not be as effective as 130+
But still we will see a huge number of good decks out there...
There are a few points to point out.
1. This is a CCG, which means new decks and ideas are not solely dependent on the developers, we.. the player base must come up with new ideas and cool and powerful synergies with the cards.
2. Wait untill all the cards have been released and then we will speak about priest and powercreep and stuff.. ( the new priest minion that resurrects could push for a new Aggro priest.. Who knows..).. more cards mean more decks
3. After all.. this is single-player content as well, which personally i have enjoyed every bit of content blizzard has released.
I apologize for the long post.. have a good day all
C'Thun/control warrior with some fatigue techs.. never lost to one.. double brawl ofc.. even against more controlly paladins (double ragnaros) with the usual full-board nzoth
Hearthstone for me is mainly arena.. and i have a good win average.. majordomo turned out to be very powerful.. whether in topdeck mode.. board control battle.. if you have a board clear..

Yeah that seems right, considering that GvG packs are gone and it would be better for the card to be there.. even if it is not played :(

Hello all
Im not trying to be picky.. but shouldnt blizzard award full refund value for Mekgineer Thermaplugg after the nerf of Leper Gnome?
had this idea when i played him in the newest Tavern Brawl..
And this is not a Small Time Buckaneer- Patches affair.. those are seperate cards.. but Thermaplugg got nerfed directly no?
PS: i dont have Thermaplugg... just a thought

man you have introduced so much mechanics in one post with only so few cards... Great freaking jobb!!! well done
