Hi guys, haven't posted here for awhile but Naxxramas has gotten me back in the Hearthstone groove. I've updated my Pally control deck as you can see above. I used to be very legendary heavy, including Sylvanus and Cairne in the deck just because I had 'em, but I've realized that a bunch of expensive legends that slow things down too much means I end up dying, and losing is no fun. Putting in the Azure Drakes and Thalanos helps boost my consecrations & Avenging Wrath's, which is loads of fun. There's a good amount of healing to be had here, but I didn't overdo it (used to have Holy Light & even Lay on Hands previously in older version of the deck, but the tempo killer of that 8 mana card was a mistake in hindsight). I find having the Farseers to be more worthwhile with their +6 healing total than the harvest golems.
Early on, you can play the Pyromancer, Farseers, and Peacekeepers, but what I really like about these low mana guys is that you aren't unhappy to see them if they show up later in the game, because they're still totally useful (unlike a lot of other low cost minions).
There's a solid midgame with both Drakes and the Argent commander as well, so you can be safely bridged to the heavy hitters of the deck at 7+ mana without having taken too much damage.
3 heavies with Tirion, Ysera, and Rag are plenty. I find the Faceless Manipulator often turns 3 heavies into 4, or is useful during the midgame if your opponent gets something out earlier than we can handle. Still, being a control deck that's often not too big an issue unless your starting hand sucked and you haven't recovered.
Feel free to leave me some feedback, I've only mained Paladin since I joined the beta and I'm waiting for our chance to shine, but I kind of like that we aren't a meta deck, because that gives us a chance to really surpise people. I've had a lot of success thus far and am really having a good time with this one. Thanks for reading!
I don't miss taunts as much as I thought I would. In my mind taunts are most helpful against a rush deck, but a) you have to have it in hand and b) I'm probably spending 4 mana on something else turn 4. This is why i tended to run the Shields Up! Lady instead of DoA. The brewmaster is an interesting idea, since he synergizes with multiple cards of yours. That's probably worth the experiment.
I started off my current Paladin deck in similar fashion (with the Molten Giant and Mountain Giant, TONS of late game a a bunch of heal) but that sort of deck seemed to hit a wall for me around rank 11 in the PREVIOUS ladder. I am currently running a more well rounded mid range deck that floods the board til turn 4-6 and then switches over to controlling the board and keeping it clear for late game threats - hit legendary in the past ladder season with this deck and am trying again. Solid deck jjb0070, let us know how the ladder treats you.
We have healing. I stopped worrying about the early game so much when I realized that its the first three turns of the game. We can afford the hits. Pally has so many options at turn four. I made a thread about this deck two days ago that didn't get much attention here but it has a strong midgame and great endgame. It features the twilight drakes at a usual 4/7 turn four and a turn 5 or 6 mountain giant to make your opponents crap themselves. Then you steamroll them in the endgame.
Thanks Flood! It's an honor to get feedback from you. You're a tremendous asset to the community here. I just played a round after I dropped one Holy Light from the deck and crafted the Mountain Giant to put in its place. Was able to cast him on turn 6 for 6 mana. He ended up doing 16 hero damage and took out three minions by time all was said and done. Great call!

No one has any constructive criticism? I'm already rank 16 and climbing on the new ladder.

We share a similar deck.
I prefer more creatures (although I think of them as spells that happen to leave a minion behind), which may be better for this meta of high aggro.

Maybe, if you're running aggro. But probably not. Definitely not if you're running anything else.

Ragnaros. Hands down the better choice.

Last time I played one of those warrior decks I got my ass kicked.

I'd love a mirror match! Add me, I'm Doxepin#1717 on battle.net.

Done and done. Based on saad's advice as well I dropped TBK for Bloodhoof. Here's the new deck:

Damn, that's awesome! Let me know how you fare with it!

Probably another Argent Commander and perhaps another Mountain Giant.

I'm still having a lot of success with this deck. Any feedback is appreciated!
