If you believe Blizzard uses bots, it is not a logical conclusion to assume they do just because there is no evidence to refute that assertation. That's like me saying that I believe Donald Trump colluded with the Brazilians to corner the market on Brazil nuts. I have no factual evidence to backup that claim, but because I have not been given data to refute it, I believe it is so and will argue its veracity. This is essentially conspiracy theory 101.
By your same reasoning it is also a fallacy to assume they don't. -

kizlyar posted a message on Whoes not wasting 50 bucks on KaC?Posted in: General DiscussionThree expansions per calendar year is just too much. The ideas for this expansion feel like they just threw a bunch of random ideas from a chalk board into the game without any analysis. Expansion - Adventure - Expansion was perfect. The adventures were usually fun enough considering they're single player and the adventure sets always included some staple meta Legendaries and other at least very useful cards.
But hey, Blizzard is greedy and wanted another expansion so this is what we get.

user-22608630 posted a message on Is this a joke? HS expensive costs.Posted in: General Discussion2 years without spending an euro here and not planning to do it soon. Every expansion I spend 5-8k gold + dust to get the desired cards and be able to play 10+ different top tier decks. This can be done just with daily quests (rolling for 60 one as much as possible), weekly brawls, and some random arenas from time to time. I refused paying money to Blizzard anymore when they troped the adventures (cheaper and very funny to complete, also you get the complete card pool) for regular expansions.
Well done mate. I also stopped, after buying the first three adventures, when standard was announced. Three days after using all my dust to craft Boom. Apart from the £3.99 10 pack plus legendary thing. Cutting adventures this year was the icing on the cake. We would have had two this year. Level playing field for 3k gold x2. Cheers for the free game Blizzard, but you could have had more cash off me and others if you didn't try to milk us. -

Sugatang posted a message on Twitch is banned by government in China and we can't register a Twitch accountPosted in: Site Feedback & SupportQuote from Haussenfuss >>Crazy this 1984 crap is happening in 2017. In a country that contains 1/6 of the world's population.
This won't affect me in any way, but it pisses me off.
You guys are either incredibly naive or entitled. There is no inherent human right to free access of a network of computers around the world, any more than there should be a right to have my favorite cereal every morning. Many many MANY countries restrict access to certain parts of the web (look up internet decency restrictions in your favorite democracies in India, S Korea, even the U.K.). China gets an incredible amount of flak for this just because they are "communist" (by the way they are basically state directed capitalist / hypermercantilist) and not democratic (which people brainwashed on western education blindly worship as the best form of govt in the universe), when in reality they are nowhere near the only ones to put up Internet restrictions.I agree that everyone in the world does it to some extent but it does not prove China right. I live in Turkey. I also highly disagree that easy access to internet is not a human right. Eastern regions of Turkey mostly consist of Kurdish people and they mostly support Left Wing. Fall of 2016, while i was visiting my family at the Eastern region of Turkey, government arrested couple Mayors of mostly Kurdish populated cities and replaced them with their own men overnight. That night, in the eastern cities, our access to the internet was blocked. Something was happening, there were people shouting in the streets, distant gun-fire sounds but no word on what's going on. It was fucking TERRIFYING. I had no stake at that fight, i stood home but still. I'm a lawyer myself and it should not be that easy to ban the access. Later on government had the habit of blocking the internet whenever a small event happens. Imagine knowing something is happening in your city but not knowing what.I do realize that blocking twitch is not same thing as disabling the whole thing but it's a smaller step in the same direction. We should not allow government control internet. We need to react before it's too damn late. I'm "slightly" off topic here but i had to tell. Sorry y'allIf you are interested, I'd suggest googling "human rights, internet access." As you correctly suggest, there is slightly more substance to the issue than to simply dismiss the entire matter as being "naive and entitled to think access is an inherent right". It is, and has been recognized as a protected right internationally since 2003, fundamental to freedom of expression and opinion, and freedom of assembly. As the OP blithely suggests, there isn't an internationally recognized right to freedom of cereal, though the relevancy of this observation isn't exactly obvious.Didn't mean to start a political debate in the realm of cardplaying fantasy warfare, but I believe excambria misses the point. As someone else noted, it's the freedom of expression and flow of ideas, not the mere medium of the internet, that is stifled by the Chinese government. And I'll be damned if that's not a recognized human right in the civilized planet. And impressive story, Leffe. I'm also a lawyer and I've never taken our U.S. First Amendment lightly. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Maybe 'Hall of Fame' the turn 3-4 Mountain Giant that just seems to be a default plan for Warlock. Why is this card still around? It's just boring card design that seems to push out any room for creativity, because there's not even a potential drawback, and synergizes with what is almost certainly- already - the best hero power in the game.

People like cheerleading for their corporate overlords, tho.
"Bots get legend every season with broken decks. If that's what you like to do fine - but paying them money is buying in to their dipshit con."
Another thanks to the person that mentioned this. *Massive Blizz-Activision megacorp,* gaining a ton of cash and publicity off all their ESports/Twitch streaming, *cannot even be bothered to police the freaking bots infesting their RANKED MODE.
And the poor ladder design, relying on grinding to avoid any effort on the devs' part, *actively encourages botting.*
But if we say anything about self-evident poor design to ask for improvements...from the people whose *paid job is to work on this game (FFS)*...most of the toxic community goes into corporate-cheerlead mode, and victim-blames customers who want to see a good product not go completely to s**t, because it has abusive parents...

I'll do you one better. Since I am tired of tearing down Blizzard-Activision, I will just go spend my time, and my ***money*** (hear that: Blizz-Act???) elsewhere. The more I play other card games, the more I realize how badly Hearthstone is stagnating.

"For you, this is likely not something you are used to, for someone that worked with what I worked, information is a really important tool, and knowing when and how to use it, is extremely important."
So you're an information gate-keeper trying to tell me that I'm foolish for stating a company is keeping information from its customers. Cool story, bro.

"No, you haven't"
Keep burying your head in the sand and corporate cheerleading moar bro.
And gaslighting people, telling them they haven't seen things they *have, in fact, seen*...and other people have also reported seeing. The CEO of Blizz-Act and Dear Leader Trump thank you for your service...

"It is not cancer, it's simply a terribly designed mechanic."
Also...what??! Is there a difference?

"You're thought process is ridiculously flawed. Just because Hearthstone has problems and flawed mechanics, that doesn't mean people cannot enjoy it and are not willing to pay for it.
Bro, if you are not a corporatist cheerleader, what are you getting so defensive about? I am exercising as much free speech as the Hearthpwn mods will allow me, to talk about the poor state of the game...in a thread asking if the cost of Hearthstone is supposed to be a joke (implying that it is either a joke or an insult that the Blizz-Activision megacorp would consider charging *so much* for what is currently garbage)...
I am in agreement with the OP that the way Blizz-Activision treats its customers, on a large scale, and personally, is insulting.

The evidence is that Blizzard has not addressed the botting. If they weren't doing it, they would be touting how proactive they were by removing bots during scheduled maintenance. I am not arguing that Blizzard puts bots to push netdecks. They put bots on ladder to try to 'teach' you how to build a better deck. I have seen bots with names related to the 'lesson' I was supposed to 'learn' about deckbuilding.
This is treating the customer like an idiot.
And you people have your head buried so far in the sand that...I dunno...something-something...you're responsible for the invasion of Iraq...
