About the game in your video.

Turn 2, it is not a good idea to hero power the Radiant Elemental. You are not going to kill him with Hero Powers since the Priest can just heal, and you are risking giving him card draw with Norshire Cleric. The removal you have in the deck, likely FrostBots, already deals 3 damage, so that hero power doesn't help you there. Later on, you also don't need the hero power on the minion because you simply stalling, and even if you intend to try to clear the board, it will be by Doomsayer removal, not damage based removal.

Turn 5 of the opponent, as you can see, that backfired.

Your turn 5, why kill Elemental over Norshire?

After that, since you managed to gather the whole combo by turn 9 and 21 cards deep into the deck, it is just a matter of killing the Priest, your second Ice Block is in your hand so he can't get it from the Benedictus effect, he would need to draw a Cabalist Tome to get it (You drew both Glyphs, I assume you only run 1 Babbling Book, the only option was Tome)

As for the rest about the deck, personally it's a Combo deck, which makes me like it a lot, I'm a Combo and Control player primarily. It is a hard deck to play, pretty inconsistent, which is only very good right now because we are still early in the expansion and everyone is playing Greedy decks, which is what this deck preys upon.

I do have to correct you and other people here. The deck is interactive. It has both Hard and Soft Counters that other players can use, and during game, there are lots of ways to play around the deck no matter what you are using, which is something that falls in the interactivity department. For the deck to be uninteractive, you would need to remove all it's hard and soft counters, aswell as disabling any options to play around the deck, which is not the case, all of this exists.

Other than that, people should try the deck to see the strengths and weaknesses it has if they don't know them already.

As a very combo centric player, I do have to say, I really don't like how the Mage Quest was designed though. The reward is Combo centric, but the requirement to enable it is actually value centric, which means you have to split the focus of the deck into both sides to make it work, which is generally something that you do not want in a Combo deck, and that is why this deck is very inconsistent. (The deck is inconsistent, it doesn't matter that currently performs really well, that is only because of the specific short window meta we are in, that will change soon and after it changes, you will see that in the next 3 months until the December expansion, the deck will become much more inconsistent).

    1. I hero powered radiant elemental because if he dropped northshire cleric + heal on turn 3, it means he would not be able to drop a 3 drop. If he dropped a 3 drop, it means my ghastly conjurer later on would be able to kill it if he didn't shadow word pain my ghastly conjurer.
    2. radiant elemental is more important to kill than cleric as radiant elemental can allow him to pull off dangerous combos.

Agreed, quest mage is fun to play. Every game feels different due to random cards and its difficult to pilote. Misplays gets punished very hard (milling the quest, anyone?).

Best thing is, you can consistently give Druids the finger

Yup. One of the reasons why I started playing Exodia Mage was to beat druids.

Exodia(Quest) Mage is a combo deck whose strategy is to get 4 sorcerer's apprentices and archmage antonidas onto the board and throw an infinite amount of fireballs at the enemy. This combo is possible because of Time Warp, which gives you an extra turn, and Molten Reflection/Simulacrum which allows you to copy Sorcerer's apprentices.

This deck is insanely difficult to play properly and requires a lot of intelligence and game knowledge to master completely. Be warned; new players to this deck will often lose many games before finally learning how to pilot it properly. The most important skills needed to pilot this deck well is proper management of hand size in order to not burn any cards by overdrawing, fast thinking, quick calculations of all the different possibilities of spells you can get from random spell generators and lastly, meticulousness.

This deck is extremely strong against greedy control decks due to its ability to kill the enemy with infinite fireballs and disregard their health and armor. It is notorious for being an uninteractive deck. It however, has its weaknesses, such as aggro decks, dirty rat, coldlight oracle, naturalize, eater of secrets, and ice block. A really good player of the deck however, will be able to still beat decks that it is supposedly weak to.

Overall, I feel Exodia Mage is a really fun and challenging deck to play. I recommend anyone looking for a deck that truly stimulates the mind to try it. It's like solving puzzles every game. Here's a video of me playing Exodia Mage, in case anybody wants to learn how to play it.

What do you think of swapping Harrison for Gluttonous Ooze and Ysera for Bolvar? I don't have either of those two cards and these replacements seem decent do you think that this would be ok? Alternately, a Bonemare may be a replacement for Ysera. Thanks in advance.

The replacements would be ok. However, you are losing out on a lot if you don't use Harrison as nowadays many decks have a lot of weapons with 3 durability in them and using Harrison Jones can allow you get to a juicy 3 card draw which can change the tides of the game greatly. I would suggest Bonemare instead of Bolvar as bolvar needs a divine shield deck centred around him to be good.

Is there any good replacement for Tarim that is not Wickerflame?

Nope, Tarim serves a very unique purpose which is to every other minion on the board in to 3/3s

posted a message on Is it me or is Raza DK Priest OP AF?

I just met someone playing Raza DK Priest. Basically what they do is they play Raza, turning their hero power into 0, then shortly afterwards they play the DK priest hero card, then they play cards that give them a lot of cards like Lyra the Sunshard, Thoughtsteal, etc. This allows them to play a cheap card, use the 0 cost deal 2 damage hero power, play another cheap card, use the hero power again. They can clear all your minions or constantly blast your face for a lot of damage through this way. I conceded early but I think he may even have Velen or some other sick combo he still hasn't played. Raza DK Priest seems like the most op deck right now and I think it beats every other DK deck.

If a cards are released in KFT will you craft golden versions to keep this deck golden?

Probably not as I want to spend $0 for KFT expansion since I'm playing Hearthstone much less now and simply use whatever dust/gold I have to craft a meta deck for KFT.

Are you F2P or did you buy a bunch of packs because you wanted this golden?

I bought a bunch of packs but I also have been playing for a very long time so I had built up a large dust collection.

Had too much dust lying around, decided to craft a full golden miracle rogue deck since I love playing miracle rogue. I think I spent at least 30k dust on it? AMA.
