Elazul2k posted a message on DrunkStream Gnimsh WarriorPosted in: DrunkStream Gnimsh WarriorAfter playing this deck I awoke the following day in a puddle of my own vomit, my car was missing, and there was a one legged stripper dead in my bathroom. Of course I quickly checked my Hearthstone account and realized I went from rank 25 to Legend in a single night. Unfortunately, I had just smoked some Peyote before that and may have been hallucinating it all. Moral of the story is you bothered to read this comment and wasted 30 seconds of your life you will never get back. In fact you're still reading this comment for some reason. You just cannot stop reading it. Who knows why? I don't but play this deck! It will turn you into a midget and steal your wife. I'm drunk. The end.

Spicymuffin posted a message on Everyone is crying about stale meta and Combo Druid/Secret Paladin...Posted in: General DiscussionWell it is about blowing steam, but I also wanted to have a discussion about netdecking because I really thinkg that it is hurting game as a whole.
I don't believe it is hurting the game, if anything it helps people to have a guide when building decks. I netdeck for a number of reasons:1. I enjoy playing matches more than building decks. I want to know what the leanest meanest deck is that will give me the most success against opponents. Sure I might not play it perfectly to start but I figure it out as I play it more. This is what is "fun" to me.2. I want to win, and I want to play decks that will give me the most success at winning. Now there is a line for everyone. I only ever play druid for a quest, same with face hunter when it was a thing (really face anything). I had someone tell me that they were upset that I broke their secret paladin winstreak because it costed them so much time.
He didn't even like playing the deck, but he liked the speed at which he could win. I don't understand that mentality at all, but for some folks that is "fun" (I guess).3. It allows me to experiment with decks/cards that I don't have the time to figure out how to maximize. Echo mage, Reno mage, Reno hunter etc. I like playing different decks, but again, I don't like investing the time building them and figuring it out.I think the bottom line is you have to play so that you are having fun, and if the current meta just pisses you off, take a break for two weeks and come back when the expansion hits. -

BlackerPaul posted a message on Secret Paladin still not nerfed?Posted in: General DiscussionI played against a paladin who didn't have muster on turn 3 today. It took him about a minute to figure out he had to drop a knife juggler off curve, the poor guy. Really threw him, no recovering from that position :)

user-20492089 posted a message on Secret Paladin still not nerfed?Posted in: General DiscussionSo people still miss the point after all this time? I'll point this out again, despite the fact that people have done so many times before:
The problem is not, repeat not, how good SP is on average. The deck is very counterable, and I would even go as far as to say that it's nowhere near as good as it was when TGT came out, and certainly not as good as most of this forum makes it out to be, albeit still being a more than viable deck to play even at the higher legend rankings(but not more so than the likes of midrange paly, druid, face shaman, etc). To me midrange paladin is still by far the best paladin deck to play on ladder, and tempostorm can stick their nonsensical snapshot where the sun doesn't shine(although really, if you still take them seriously when they rate SP as the best deck in the game and then click on the list of match ups, I don't even know what to say). Also to anyone who actually believes oil rogue is not favored against SP(or any other paladin deck): just lol.
Now that that's out of the way here's what is, in fact, wrong with the deck, and the reason why I think MC should be wiped out from existence: the deck takes little to no strategy whatsoever to play(you simply play whatever minion fits your mana curve, almost every single turn, make obvious trades and let your overpowered minions on each mana slot carry you). And on top of this, even against decks that are favored against it, it can have complete blow out wins by having a decent curve into MC, at which point your opponent can do nothing to prevent defeat. This makes the deck extremely frustrating to lose against, and makes it so people who belong on the rank 5 mark or below can easily get to legend if they are willing to play it. Believe it or not, I actually have people on my friend list who never made it past ranks 4/5 who are consistently at legend ranks since TGT came out, and that's right, you can easily guess what is their current main deck.
To put it simply, this sort of deck is not healthy for the game. While other decks that people love to hate on like face hunter and zoo are also annoying to play against, they are necessary for game balance and to prevent greedy decks from dominating the meta, and they have proven to be very volatile decks that can easily jump from the top5 best decks to the current niche status they are in(especially FH), because despite what people say they are only good on very specific meta games.
Hell, if you want a better metaphor than this, people have gotten to high LEGEND ranks by botting with SP. What does this tell you?

Kingbobtheking posted a message on AcidmawPosted in: AcidmawThis is going to be an amazing card if/when hunter can be a control deck. After GvG control hunter just barely didn't make the cut, it could crush most control decks, had a pretty fair chance against midrange, and got decimated by aggro. When I look at Acidmaw and Dreadscale I see 1 card that screams anti control and the other that screams anti face decks. Acidmaw is clearly the anti control card and has insane combo potential. Everyone keeps saying that this card has great combos on turn 10, but in a control deck you likely run Emperor Thaurissan meaning that it is far more likely that all of the following combos are turn 8 combos. Acidmaw + Dreadscale = clear the whole board except for a 4/2 and a 4/1 that will clear the board again next turn if they aren't killed. Acidmaw + Unleash the Hounds = kill everything on their board that doesn't have divine shield. Acidmaw + Powershot Kill 3 of your opponent's minions that are next to eachother. Acidmaw + Any minion that you already have on the board or that has charge = use any minion to trade up.
I think that this card has potential to be huge for hunter overall because hunter never had a way to mass remove a board of minions that have more than 1 health... This is that card.
