i had the basis of this deck from another one i saw on here but i changed it around a good deal. they had 2 call to arms and i found that it was pulling my pyromancers way too often making my board clear much less reliable.
i could see it working but the reason have avenging wrath in there is in case i need to go face with it or there are a lot of 1 health minions that can be dealt with. or a single big minions aswell. but if you dont have the dust for it stampeding kodo sounds like it work
honestly i might have just gotten lucky when i went up against the 2 big priests i faced but what i did was just keep a constant board presence and don't drop too low on health. I have hsreplays of the 2 games if you want to see what i did. the first one is more of a deathrattle priest that went way too long and the second is a legit mind blast priest.

ok after like 15 games with this deck i have made some changes to what is in it so as to fit the current meta, and they are a tad strange so bear with me but they do work in my experience

ok i replaced a slam and a whirlwind with 2 dead man's hands and i am seeing a noticeable improvement because before i would draw all my minions making my recruits useless and now i can flood my deck and board with a lot of minions. currently 3-0 with the new version and its going a lot better now
what i mean by control mages are mages who have heavy elemental synergy in their deck so they have a lot of elemental minions that are super sticky and i cant seem to ever be able to get rid of them
literally how is it favorable they can clear my entire board and i cant do anything about with becauase my entire deck is so expensive and they have minion generation out the ass

this deck is hot garbage lmfao how do you even get anything to stay on board at all? there is no clear before turn 6 and so few minions that can stick

deck is fun but wont get you many wins, played 24 games and have roughly a 50% winrate

if you arent splurging the board super hard with everything and conserving some stuff card draw is a non-issue

this game he was an idiot and kept on cycling my minions back into my deck which let me get my combo off.

-2 Vicious Scalehide since we don't have Call to Arms anymore these aren't needed
-1 Spikeridged Steed too slow and silences are popular right now
-1 Skulking Geist not really needed in this meta anymore
+2 Witchwood Piper reliable minion draw with a decent body
+1 Aldor Peacekeeper nice control card can keep things from the early game spinning out of control
+1 Lay on Hands nice emergency card draw and heal that can also feed Lesser Pearl Spellstone
and for the wierd one its +2 Lesser Pearl Spellstone you are healing so much from yourBenevolent Djinn and Uther of the Ebon Blade that it kinda just ramps up in your hand that its a 2 mana 6/6 almost all the time
