Actually the "powerdown" created the worse year we ever had as consequence just to satisfy people expectation for powerlevel after it.
So i'm sorry to say but his opnion is just the truth of what happened last year of the point of view of who wasn't bad about KaC and there is a ton of people that feel this way. So his opnion is not only as valid as anyone here but also more constructive than anyone that just repeated about rotation all the year like a zombie.
Actually i'm can even say that blizzard real fault is not define what they really want for the game and change the direction every freaking year.
So thanks to people like you who did agree with they making we wait a entire year instead of doing their job his opnion got really solid.
That said. If they ever do another powerdown for whatever reason i'm out.
But since i'm did pass over all that really bad year this time i'm want to see what the dragon has to us.
I don’t like RNG either. Some say it’s fun but for me it’s the opposite it just makes you turn your house into a demolition site ehe. Plus the demand for achievements was huge I’m sure they’re gonna do something about it. Probably not this expansion too little time since Dean asked the community but soon who knows
There is nothing wrong with they in terms of power itself.
And the problem is that upgraded hero powers are relevant enough to build around.
They aren't a little help. They are the strategy. Even my genn mage feels like that with enrage minions that depend on the discounted ping to trigger.
In other words they change how hearthstone is played because now you want also a hero power that has synergy with your deck instead of just build a synergic deck
It isnt bad by default but for that be cool we need both more options and change how cards are designed or rotate they early and never talk about alt basic hero power again.
Warlock basic hero power is already OP and shaman already had a card nerf.
So why we don't nerf warlock basic hero instead of genn and call it a day for genn?
Because Warlock basic hero power has a clear trade of? after rotation warlock will lose almost all his defensive tools specially Bloodreaver Gul'dan and Voidlord.
Warlock wasn't considered a class back in unguru, and started being a little relevant in knights, then re surged in kobolds, so warlock can be weak when it doens't have access to healing.
It might go to a point people will actually play baku warlock as a sort of "healling" (heallling for around 8 hp per game).
even lock is probably (sadly I really like handlock) dead in standard on rotation.
In wild... well there are enough counters to anything there, aviana kun druid was insanely oppressive back then but apart from that I don't think so..
About the future of wild, I thought that reno decks will dominate wild forever, that isn't true cause having the consistency of stronger synergistic cards is more important than 2-3 powerful legendaries in the deck.
Except is proved that it isn't enough.
When warlock has ways to synergy with his hero power it turns into a monster.
Aggro decks use the refill without care because opponent dies faster.
Combo decks start to need nerfs because they end being nearly rigged due to extra consistency in draw.
Control decks use the consistency to find their tools making control warlock the strongest control archtype just by print half decent sustain.
If every archtype is build around it them we have the exact same issue with warlock basic hero power as we have with genn and baku.
It promote a button pressing playstyle. That to not say that it destroy the fantasy of risk/reward that the class should have.
That is why make it do 3 damage is a good call.
Make warlock really need that amount of healing. It is more fun this way.
Is like i'm said before. Warlock hero power nerf isn't a thing " because genn" is just something that got ignored for a long time despite of being out of line.
i think this is winning from topdecking and luck, not skill. You can be totally outplayed and still win, which is taking a lot away from the experince. Just because you copied a T1 autopilot deck does not mean you are a skillful player.
Watch WowHobbs. He gets to rank 5 often with insane himebrew decks that are vastly underpowered. THAT is skill. Playing the game YOUR way is much more satisfying. But like someone said earlier, there are people who somehow like playing single-player shooters on god-mode...
Sorry but if he gets to the rank than those decks aren't vastly underpowered.
And actually there is no skill in pick something you think that can't do the work.
He just know how those decks work and what he can explore with they.
A concept that most people have problem to understand .
Play bad decks actually makes you a bad player and not the opposite.
What makes you a good deckbuilder is see potential where others not see and prove it.
The problem with this is that it will increase the complexity of the game and make team 5 review the hero power mechanic because reveal the hero power before the first use would be really unfun when more than one exist due to reveal what you're against even before turn 1.
The problem with that idea is that to work blizzard will need to leave the confort zone of only design 2 mana hero powers and consider hero power as a tool that can get buffs or nerfs.
It can work and will probably be a blast but need a real evolution from the design team as we know.

That was spitefull summoner decks and i think you can't be more wrong even if you try.
Maybevthe problem is people like you who think they have the right to determine what "healthy gameplay" is.
Because they doesn't.

It is a card that has the same type style of effect. Not the same.
And for people having problems with the idea i'm can only say that blizzard isn't dumb to make something like that be strong.

Not going to take to much and just say it.
Play as random villain of the new adventure.(include their decks).
Why?
1. It is attached to PvE so it would be normal to have a effect related to it.
2 .The number of decks we know it will have and the number of villains match
3.It is the natural step after whizbang.
You design decks that have non collectionable cards so they can be balance around that deck and not all the possible combinations.

Well there are always people who like to play clicker games i'm guess.

No RNG is baku and genn.
Did you like it?

Both will be fine.

Don't think it is useless.
The problem with this is that it will increase the complexity of the game and make team 5 review the hero power mechanic because reveal the hero power before the first use would be really unfun when more than one exist due to reveal what you're against even before turn 1.
Maybe keep they as cards is better.

What about learn to play instead of want a card to do the work for you?

I'm would not be so unoptimistic about it.
Like:
They do a expansion about WOW lore once a year and even if it was questionable boomsday project has that style of direction.
Maybe we can see sonething like:
The legion cup. With tons of demons wanting to find the ultimate hearthstone player or some insane BS like this.
