Yup just lost a game to it breaking (felt like my side only). Was scratching my head wondering why my opponents turn never ended and eventually saw him making actions selecting me. Had to restart the game and at that point watched as I died.
Like what Sincz mentioned you have 4 dragons base, plus at least 2 more from Bronze Explorer. LF crusader definitely has gotten me a few extra in games. It's a good 3 drop that is proactive and not reactive!
are you a paladin one trick? so many decks in the past 5 years that coulda done it for you easy. I think deathrattle hunter was the second time i hit legend. this season it was a mix of midrange demon hunter and highlander rogue, i think
It took me 5+ years to do it but I am very happy to finally hit legend with a deck that I loved piloting! I have tried many times making many different kinds of Paladin decks but sadly most of mine just were never competitive enough (mostly Midrange, Dragon, Control, and Highlander)
WIth more time on my hands I finally picked up a Pure Paladin deck and had a blast playing it from Diamond 10 to Legend! And I loved all the aspects the deck offered!
The problem with paladin is that it got good cards, but that's it, most of the other classes (except Shaman and maybe Warrior) are in a good spot cause some of their cards do insane things. Mage has amazing highlander support, Rogue has all the galakrond + tog bullshit and it still got decent cards this expansion, Druid is back to ramping and beating the opponent with big chunky minions that wouldn't see play if not cause of the fact that you can play them a lot earlier, Hunter still has dragons and the deathrattle support it got is pretty interesting, Warlock had decent cards, received good support and is also riding the DH trend, Priest just keeps using the disgusting resurrect cards it has been using forever and Demon Hunter is just overall strong even after the nerfs. Warrior is not as terrible as Shaman but it lost too many key cards and it'll need at least another expansion to recover and Shaman is for sure on a shit hole without many hopes.
The problem with Paladin is that the class got good cards but nothing more. The dormant murloc is good but not broken, the libram cards are good and solid but don't do anything too powerful and as you said both pure paladin archetype cards are solid but there aren't enough trully great paladin cards to support something like this (Also while the 7 drop refills your hand, it doesn't mean you'll get even a single good card). While other classes have that good broken shit, Paladin just has fair cards atm. The one thing I can say, is that I'm glad Paladin got solid legendaries this expansion, not some incredibly specific garbage like they got last expansion, AoO Paladin legendaries are simply good and can be used on pretty much any Paladin build moving forward.
You nailed it on the head, Paladin has always had good and fair cards, nothing extremely broken. I love Paladin as a class but I get frustrated that we are always the "balanced" class and it can be very hard to ladder at times. I have always tried to make Dragon Paladin work for the past many years, never competitive enough even with all the new dragon support from DoD. Pure Paladin is fun especially with Librams but guess what shuts down the deck, anyone running Albatrosses (quite a bit from what I faced thus far) I am going back to Highlander Paladin and see if I can push a bit more again. I think this expansion gave us a good foundation but we still need more support!
Currently I have been running my Dragon Highlander Paladin deck and it has been a blast to pilot but I feel like I hit its Threshold at rank 3/4. So looking to transition to another Highlander deck, specifically was looking at mage, hunter, maybe warlock.
Curious what everyone's thoughts are on how each Highlander class is doing atm! Suggestions are appreciated <3
Running Highlander Dragon Paladin around rank 3. Been a very fun grind from rank 20 with lots of changes. Priests and Rogues give me the most trouble. Hunters are the easiest matchup which has been great as of late!
Been having a blast piloting this deck throughout DoD. This is my most up to date version with Galakrond's Awakening out. So far I have been able to pilot this deck to rank 4. Its been a bit challenging but very fun and does extremely well against hunters right now. Only major weakness still are rogues >.=.<
If you are looking for something different to play then Mech Paladin feel free to give it a shot! Definitely not a tier 1 deck but I have been able to go toe to toe with most meta decks! IF you think there are any improvements to be made for the deck I would love to hear them :)
I do appreciate everyone's responses so far. Let's hope with the rotation Blizz gives us a solid package since we are losing almost all the mechs. Still hoping for more support for control, dragon, and Highlander paladin. Should start seeing new cards next month since rotation is in April.
Been trying so hard to make my Dragon Highlander Paladin a successful deck but constantly stuck between ranks 4-6.
Opinions? What do folks want from the next set once we get our big rotation. I am still trying to pilot Dragon Paladin Highlander but only been get to rank 4-5.

It's not a must, just provides extra value.

Micro Mummy could be an alternative, you want a good sticky 2 cost minion that is a Paladin minion.

Yes I only play Paladin in competitive play :>

Thanks for the reply. I thought mage might be doing better now with Reno but he might just be too RNG.

Just got to rank 3! Definitely working very well against hunters. Also have done fairly well against Galakrond Warrior!
