I think Edwin VanCleef would make a stronger tempo burst than Mana Addict, no? Tougher to remove, no need for it to survive a turn to activate. LOL JUST KIDDING, 3 MANA
And how important do you feel like the Fal'dorei Strider is? I only have one and I'm on the fence about crafting the second. I haven't played my version of the deck yet but it seems like Strider could be either too slow to run 2 or a horrifying tempo engine, depending on how much card draw you get
This is real fun for one or two wins, but be aware the combo doesn't stop when your opponent hits 0 life. The defile and geist just keep rolling and it takes the game a LONG time to realize the poor bastard is dead. 😅
I'm on the fence about the shellraisers, but thank you so much for this comment. I went the double-up route and holy shit, these Lightspawns! I'm 3-0 so far and they've sealed the deal every time. Just got a concede on an 18/18, lol
Warning: Sindragosa always draws a perfect tempo opening hand, so to keep up with her and not lose all card advantage in the early game you basically HAVE to pull an Alleycat or Jeweled Macaw in your opening hand. RNG is never on my side so I had to restart a handful of times to get this, but once I did it was an easy steamroll.
Definitely the best deck on Hearthpwned for this boss in terms of cost vs frustration. And everything you need to craft except the cheap Alleycats are still in Standard rotation for next year. It's perfect!

Would you put Archmage Antonidas in this to up the burst?

I'm not sure you understand what "Budget" means

This seems really finely tuned... what would you swap for Putricide? I have him and I'd like to give it a try, but nothing here seems optional.

Can you recommend a replacement for Medivh, for those of us who never bought Kara?

That's what the Saps are for, but if you try it with Vanish let me know how it works? It seems like the cost would make it too slow.
