This idea is silly for more reason than i can actually list here. look at absolutely any other game and see how much turn 1 after things. taking away turn 1 or things to be done them is stupid, limits the game in so many ways, and really just sounds like you're salty over aggro.
That said, I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with Hearthstone combat system as you're suggesting there is..
I've been playing the game since Beta and this has always annoyed me. There's a lot of good things about the game, but the RNG and the face-smashing isn't one of them. Ever since beta they've just been struggling to fix this design flaw by nerfing cards over and over. Everything they nerf is something that either created a dumb "flip a coin for the game" ( tinkmaster/pagle/BGH / yogg) situation or cards that were too fast and bursty ( pyroblast, grim patron, undertaker, owl etc. )
I don't think you can ever fix the curvestone situation unless you basically design no good 1-2-3 drops. Like every 1 drop is babbling book and every 2 drop is loot hoarder and every 3 is a vanilla 3/3, then maybe you won't have so many games that just spiral out of control from one Mana Wyrm.
One of my favourite examples of this ( in arena ) is Mad Bomber. I HATE that card. You used to see it very often and basically what would happen is you'd play a 2 drop, they'd play mad bomber and kill your 3/2, then you'd lose.
That's not a game. And you didn't lose because you lost the value of your card, you lose because you lost the board early which means the other player gets to dictate trades until turn 6, then go face for 10+ and put you in a situation where one topdeck kills you while they sit at 30 life and have 5 turns to draw that fireball or swipe or whatever. It's just degenerate.
There's a middle ground where you should be able to snowball your board lead into solid card advantage and progressively sneak in face damage. That's how midrange or aggro should play out, but as it is it's just YOLO early game into OP board clear into burst face.
from everything you said here its clear you've had virtually no experience with any other card games or have any idea how to balance things. Not to mention, the meta changes. its going to change come gadgetzan. this change would make the game awful, period. I can't think of a single game with this combat system that isn't either dumb and broken like yugioh cuz they've had to overcompensate for it, or that isn't just dead because its an awkward mechanic that makes things very slow and actually less interactive.
ok a lot of people already gave a conclusive answer to op, go play mtg. [/thread]
If you love the game so much, shouldn't you be in rank 16 playing your golden shaman instead of posting here or something?
y'know what helps your argument? being aggressive and volatile to the people looking at your thread, which I personally think is silly as it would slow the game down too much and promote spell heavy decks, completely shifting the meta and unlimately leading to the downfall of the game.
all you did was state a bunch of fairly obvious stuff. :|
ladder IS meant to be competitive and people can do whatever they like. And casual is in no way "unpopular" its definitely the more used format, there is just a stigma against it b/c top tier decks end up leaking into casual.
as for if the problem can be changed? its all about a meta. People will do what they want and there's no way to fix that without restricting what everyone can do, including those who want to play in a more "fun" way.
and in what way does HS present itself as a "more casual and fun card-game"? It has a very competitive environment, as does every card game from MTG to pokemon (which is surprisingly cutthroat). It has to have a good atmosphere or people wouldn't play it and it has to be simple or people wouldn't play it.
I don't really understand the purpose of this thread very much.

IDK about spam, but 100% win rate? im sorry but the deck isn't very good either....

IDK, most likely its just someone acting like a dickhead.

i feel like more likely it'll just be more legendaries for the classes, not the gangs.

i mean, these are pretty basic card concepts, and the last one is pretty far off. whats your point?

IDk about standard. im sure theres a way, but just going to wild and doing nzoth is much simpler.

unheaval is way too good. It just ends up being a bette excavated evil in every way, which is insane.
i like the idea of the others though, good job.

i mean, i'd suggest doing n'zoth control warrior in wild instead of either.
