    On the other hand, check out Fight Promoter, Second-Rate Bruiser, and Daring Reporter for more bang for your buck as they are much better cards with higher overall value for this slot.

     Those are 4 and 5 drop cards not 2 drops and they on there own are only "Alright" second rate bruiser is a decent taunt minion but the other 2 are pretty mediocre, although I have had some cool mill rogue games using Daring Reporter lol. Also the idea with dirty rat is to play it on turn 2 or 3 so yea if the opponent had a bad mulligan you may see a arcane giant or something. With the way the meta is right now you are almost always pulling a solid battlecry or weak aggro minion. and it often completely shuts down pirate warriors rush, its basically Deathlord which was a key card back in the day to stop aggro rushes.

    I run grom and inner rage for this issue, turn 8 can be 17 dmg combo with gromm inner rage and a arcanite equipped.

    I am uploading some videos tonight from my list I will link you later so you can see what I mean. I have been keeping a steady 60% win rate with my list.

    Dont even worry about your own board just smash face. yea often mirror images or feral spirits do fuck you but try to clear them with weapons and finish face with mortal strike leeroy combos.

    This deck gets worse if you try to add synergy with more pirates and card draw.

    its mainly a smorc deck you can push out insane dmg late game. goal is to try and have them 15 or less health by turn 6 then you can get your combos going like arcanite upgrade hit face then heroic strike mortal strike next turn. 19 dmg over 2 turns. If you are facing something like mid range shaman which will throw down the 2/3 taunts you need to get them low enough early to be able to mortal strike face and clear taunts with weapons and finish with leeroy.

    It's set up like Arena, but the payout is horrible, and folks have calculated that, on average, you'll lose 30% of what you put in.  That puts the odds as similar to gambling except even casinos give you better odds.

    ...that gets to the argument of "you aren't gambling.  The setup is similar to a tournament where you only win a prize if you get the upper spots."  Now this is true: tournaments prize structures are setup similar to this brawl.  The issue then becomes the format: best of 1 with only one class as a locked down option.

    Note that best of 3 tournaments are mocked as not being enough games to avoid RNG swings. And this is a best of 1?  Card games are, in the end, all about picking the right deck for the opponents you face.  That's the core of the difficulty.  HS demonstrates this with the multi-class format, letting you pit the right deck against a praticular deck of your opponent and winning them that way.  you can't do that here.  So  a lot of what makes the pro scene what it is isn't there in the brawl.

     

    Thus the vast majority of players are given a mode they can't play in (and don't get to play in a mode they normally do play in).  As for the rest, it's a horrible payout structure for an Arena styled mode and a horrible format for a Tournament styled mode.  Worst of both worlds.  

    Thus why the outcry.

     

     

     Feedback like this is whats needed not just random complaints.

    People are saying its super cheap and blizzard is cheating them out of gold. Don't spend your gold then, its a gamble and this is clearly not aimed at f2p players they get to have the tavern brawl every other week. This isn't really any different than a lottery ticket spend a few bucks probably get nothing maybe get a bunch of stuff.

    People need to lighten up a little and give constructive feedback, saying its lame and a cheat of gold gains nothing, if you think the price/reward ratio is unbalanced say that, if you think it should be 3 classes say that etc...

    Anyone who enters isn't getting ripped off they are making a conscience decisions to attempt to make back more resources than they put in.

    Honestly the brawl is good for a free pack, however its mostly just some fun RNG bases games geared toward f2p players.

    With all Blizzcon qualifiers finished there isn't much activity in the tournament scene. I think this is a fair switch to give the competitive players who enjoy competitions with rewards but didn't make it far in the world tour to have some fun. Most weeks of the year tavern brawl is for the casual player so I think its fine if one week is dedicated to the non casual players.

    I Honestly don't expect to do all that well but I am interested to see how far I can get. Alot of players are worried that it will just be a shaman fest, but if that's the case it can be easily countered and I think after a few days there will be a decent amount of variety.

    1 Brawl 2 shield slam,

     

    2 Brawl is sometimes needed in heavy control warrior but all control warriors use 2x shield slam(except cylcethun). It is some of the best spot removal in my opinion and is a needed card. brawl is handy for sure but I wouldnt craft 2 of them before you have 2x shield slam. Maybe craft one of each and go for some type of Reno control warrior.

    I would say Probably Flamestrike or firelands portal depending on what you are facing on the ladder.

    I would say probably firelands because yogg can sometimes be a board clear in itself but you will have to experiment with it.

    Also I just love Yogg thats why I run him, I have been playing casino mage for a bit with servant of Yogg so I'm pretty Die hard lmao

    N'Zoth Paladin sometimes feels better to pilot because your dropping more minions and interacting more with the board. With Anyfin its draw draw heal heal drop murlocs let them die drop anyfin and win. Obviously that a extreme simplification but sometimes it seems like you are just waiting for the opponent to load the board before you clear it as opposed to N'Zoth where you will be fighting with minions a little more.

     

    Murloc pally is really fun though. and there's no feeling like an OTK!

     

    Seem like you have made up your mind but I thought I'd explain why some people pefer N'Zoth pally, Enjoy friend:)

    I wouldnt mind trying a Medivh style of mage I think it could make things interesting...I have been trying to fit him into priest lol.

     

    @Raphael: Yea I'm still using Yogg as a panic button drop but honestly I dont know I think I am lucky because Yogg is doing better than before for me lol. I decided to keep him because I noticed often after Yogg killed himself and the board was clear I would just take a bunch of face dmg. He usually clears the board for me and draws me a card or drops 1 secret, if he starts to turn on me I may swap for Medivh or firelands portal.

    that would be too OP in Warlock. Sweet idea though I like it. priest needs better draw anyway.

    I saw another fan made card along a similar vein for priest. power word silence:secret when opp plays a minion silence it.

     

    I like the idea and silence is so dead RN we need something to bring it back.

    Really good layout for you from Raphael.

    I will say go with versions not running antonidas as he is too slow and you may not have the low cost spells by turn 7/8 and also if your running him you should run Emperor too. Cut both and go with the fast double torch style. Run 2 cabalists tomes or conjurers if you dont have tomes.

    The only big minion I run  is Yogg, hes still decent even post nerf. Also firelands portal is really good if your not running into a bunch of aggro. It is interchangeable with flame strike depending what you are facing.
