From what I've seen, Blizzard has pointedly avoided making shitty 10 drops for a few reasons, and this may be one of them. Hopefully that pattern will hold. The 8-drop spot is a little less reliable. I've been toying with that Grand Archivist Priest archetype that leverages Free From Amber and Mind Control.
The number of times that the 8-pick has pulled Lynessa Sunsorrow has been infuriating. It's enough to make me consider yanking all but the Mind Controls. But a timely Tirion Fordring or The Lich King has been funny as hell.
I think that new set support will continue to make it viable.
Lynessa costs 7 though, you can't get her in this kind of Priest deck.
I don't know how good tempo rogue is in Wild, but I think it's much weaker because of Reno decks and of the other strong decks available. But you can't blame yourself for drawing Patches, you probably couldn't do anything meaningful about it (except keeping a bad mulligan) and it doesn't help you in any way.
Yeah, if you did buy the adventure and disenchanted some of the cards, you can craft them back. But the only way of getting adventure cards in the first place is through buying the adventure (except if the adventure is no longer available in the Standard format).
To echo what others have said, it's definitely worth it to get Old Gods packs until your first legendary, but not after that. Buying packs to get specific epics is not a smart way to spend gold.
Can someone check my math? I think I'm wrong, the final number seems too low but I'm not sure why:
The chances of getting an epic in a pack is 1/5. There are 54 epics in the Old Gods expansion. 1/5 x 1/54 = 1/270 Your chances of getting exactly Vilefin Inquisitor in any given pack is 1/270 (???)
I think it's twice as likely because there are 2 Vilefins among the 54 epics considering the duplicates.
Murloc Paladin is nowhere near as strong as it was before the nerfs so I don't recommend getting Old Gods packs for just Vilefin Inquisitor. I think Karazhan is worth buying because it gives the most value for the gold invested.
How has this deck performed so far? I've tried playing Meat Wagon to pull out only Summoning Stones (I don't own Validated Doomsayers), but also with Prince Keleseth and more minions so that I don't rely too much on the Rocks being pulled. I can't say mine is a good deck, but it's really fun to play!

Check Zalae's video on Tempo Rogue. He covers a different list without the Curator package and it might work better for you.
