Y'all are gonna hate me for saying this but it needs to be said.
I know we all loved him, but Ben brode's tenure as game director (WOG -> K&C) was simply bad for HS, giving us super OP (garbage) sets. Four months until his legacy is gone from standard and Good riddance.
I'm really looking forward to playing viable decks that aren't broken.
He's right about the treant card. Right now treants can't carry an archetype, but theyre great addons in midrange druid giving card generation and free rush mech giants. The new epic supports midrange. Possibly better than fungalmancer (better stats, but no charge)
Been playing MTGA for the last two weeks and starting to pick it up. I played MTG back in 1994-95 until some kid stole half my collection at summer camp.
I love crafting decks, and can usually come up with a handful of competitive non-meta decks (currently running tempo spellstone warrior and spiteful mage).
I hate how MTGA always feels like top deck mode after four turns, and I realized the game is way more fun if you put cards in your deck that say "whenever... ...draw a card".
By now I'm card/gold/dust rich in HS so I have a lot more incentive to grind MTGA to build a collection. HS definitely just feels more satisfying to play and win, but I'm enjoying figuring out how to win with MTGA.
In Zoolock you usually don't want to kill your minions but heal them.
In Cubelock you usually prefer to heal your hero with Dark Pact than have a full board that could benefit from that +1/+1, and if you play aVoidlord you have already won versus aggro. Same in Control, who cares about Giants being +1/+1?
Actually, killing ur own minions has long been a part of zoolock. Power overwhelming and shadowflame have often been staples in zoo decks. This is probably the best cube destruction spell in warlock inventory at the moment.
Jaraxxus is surprisingly good right now with still arguably the strongest hero power in the game. I was playing a deck using Dark Possession and I found whenever I discovered jaraxxus I would play him and win. Now I play a demonlock deck with both guldan and jaraxxus. Sometimes pull him with lackey, and res with guldan. sometimes play him before or after guldan. Really overlooked card in the meta right now.

You realize removing the classic set means the end of Force of Nature -> savage roar. How on Earth do you expect druid to ever win a game?

Tempo shaman with Doomhammer. Always a fun ride. Remember face is the place. Don't forget your phantom freebooters.

Tome of Intellect value!
Edit: actually with arcane artificer this is probably pretty good in quest mage

Of all the degenerate decks, the only one that really burns me up is anyfin can happen. Nothing like an aggro exodia deck
