It depends on what class he was playing.Paladin tokens can be hard to deal with early on if youre a class like Hunter or Priest and in arena you would like to maintain more "Tempo" with such plays,i.e you get to decide first how to trade and how to respond to enemy threats.
I dont understand why a card like War Golem is compared with a legendary like Dr. Boom.
Just because a card spawns tokens and one doesnt doesnt mean it former is good in every aspect than the latter.The boom-bots can even backfire giving your opponent a quicker sea giant or a better Unleash or even buffing their Gahz'rilla to insane levels.Arguments can also be made for Neptulon and his overload.
I have defeated most of the control warriors with Mech mage,and it really depends on how well your Brawl went.If it leaves a solid body on the mage's side and the mage can spam more good minions then its game over for the warrior.
Two viable decks out of which is very strong against Warrior while being terribly weak to aggro.The Quartered deck is ok against aggro but not against Warrior...And CW and aggro mage/hunter are the flavors of the month so no pally these days.
From the tournaments I have seen in these few weeks,Mech mage also has a good chance against CW if you get a good opener with Mechwarper and Chugga.And then they start losing hp even before they know it.
If you want to play cancer decks like Warlock/Hunter I suggest Naxx...Even control decks need theSludge Belcher card and Loatheb sometimes to block lethal/board clear.
All I have gotten from it is Murlocs when I expect something really nice like Deathwing....I wouldn't nerf it at all.The only instance it worked nicely was when I got a Blingtron 3000...And it still failed me
I'm most surprised that rogue didn't get a way to deal with secrets. They used to have disarm trap in WoW which would just translate so well into dealing with secrets.
Everyone can deal with secrets now,not just hunters with Flare...Its called Kezan Mystic,use it if youre having a hard time on ladder against Hunters or secret mages...

Mech mage is the new cancer..Ive been beating zoo and hunter fairly easily right now.Only lose to heavy control like Priests.

There will be a point when you start taking increasing fatigue damage and then you will die on the start of your turn.
So there was no way you could have won because the AI is always smart enough to go for lethal than trade even if you throw down a lot of minions.
