I don't think this card "Punishes good play." It is good either way and should be seen from the other side as a control card. Playing against a mage you can't be winning with a large board and say flamestrike is punishing your good play. Zephrys is just like any other good control card its one that must be played around and acknowledged as something that needs to be taken from their hand before you can play bolder. If zephrys was being used over and over I would get it but I disagree with this.
Invoke effects trigger Galakronds hero power as long as he is in your deck or equipped. They always trigger the hero power this is a basic mechanic of the new expansion not a bug.
There's always a class on top. Classes go in and out of being the most powerful and then being the least powerful. The next expansion will probably see shaman getting little support. Shaman has not been powerful every expansion at all. Shaman was pretty much considered the worst back in the beginning, then after League of explorers it was one of the best for a while then it went out of power for a while. The same has happened to hunter, paladin, warrior, rogue, mage, priest, druid, and warlock at some point, and every time it does people act like that class has been the most powerful in all of history but things will change. Also it's one day into the new expansion nothing is set in stone yet.
I haven't actually seen anyone else playing this yet. I got Hack the System as my free quest last expansion and I never even played it once. This expansion I've actually been doing rather well with a warrior galakrond hack the system combo. Once galakrond is out which is usually before the quest is finished, you finish the quest easily with his hero power. Then the refreshing hero power quest reward is super consistent since all the invoke cards both do something and give you 3 attack to refresh your hero power.
It's day one of the expansion. It's generally not a good idea to disenchant new legendaries you get. This community thought keleseth was a dust it card and then he ended up being a frequent staple. I'd be patient if I were you.
I think it will probably be a gamemode some will love and some won't. I'm sure if you asked a lot of players plenty would say arena gets boring after a run or two. Different people like different modes.
It was rough. I managed to open 2 legendaries in my 24 packs which is good, but I got collosus of the moon and hack the system which were the bottom two on my whole list
I have actually won 3 runs in a row with this artifact it is very powerful overall. The small effects once and a while are very useful most of the time, and generally have high value.
I got the patron warrior deck and notably Execute cost 1 and Fiery War Axe cost 2. However, the deck was made post warsong nerf so she was not included.

haha yeah Hagatha is good, but comes nowhere near the sheer value and annoyingness of generating endless Omega destroyers and gaining 7 armor.

Raven Familiar and Kalecgos seem pretty good. You could probably just generate spells and play a minion mage in general.
