What i think is that worst type of decks are some that has some sort of infinite value or OTK combos. Thats seriously retarded. Tickatus is exactly what is needed to eradicate those netdecks. By the way where does the feeling of superiority by playing some control comes from?
Its strong as hell. Well stated, demon with no drawbacks. So i would say meta defining. But cards these days are so incredibely powerfull and both players just smashing some OP shit on board every turn that it migh not be meta defining at all. Somewhere between, good design.
The problem is if you can create a deck that beat face hunter frequently , but that deck will sure lose vs other galakrond shaman and strong control decks
so easy to counter tech. just build a deck with a focus on healing and taunt minions. but don't play to many minions.
then u take that deck, and you lose to every other deck than face hunter.
super easy.
Or just add some taunt and heals to your current deck when facing too many hunters. It rly is easy to counter face hunter. Notice that face hunter deck shows up always when meta is fcked up and people are frustrated. Face hunter will always be here :D But its not tier 1.
I think they've done well. Remember, Leper Gnome got nerfed from 2/1 to 1/1 and died for it, so did Abusive Sergeant. I think Sludge Slurper will suffer the same fate or at least be much less effective.
Corrupt Elementalist is still strong but costing 6 mana doesn't just mean it's more expensive, it also means it can't be played on t5 yet making shaman worse against aggro matchups because of the later turn.
Mogu Fleshshaper does evolve into a strong pool of minions but it can't be played as easily onto a small board, which also nerfs Mutate because it can't be used as much.
I think the nerfs are a safe choice to make shaman weaker but not instantly drill them into the ground. I like what they did.
Ye, you nailed it. Thats exactly my thoughts on that. This reduce the shaman power but does not make it unplayable. Well, at least for some :D
Edit: Im still worried about rogues but some say they are easier to counter and less consistent so maybe this nerfs was all that we needed.
Rush is okay but theres too many minions with it and they are more powerfull than ever. So you dont have that good feeling when playing a big minion because some little rushers will clear the board imidiately. It looks interactive but its not rly. Theres just an empty board almost every round. I would like to have 30 vs 30 card decks with no OTK, no infinite or near-infinite value cards like DKs, Elysiana and similar crap mechanics. You would pick agro midrange or ctrl and you have 30 cards to use. Decks should have some tribal synergy, but no 1-2 cards that are so OP you build all deck around it (shudderwock, galakrond etc) So thats my opinion but im barely playing this game at the moment. Expansion doesnt look that bad but its far from my ideal card game atm.
Problem is that quest effect is infinite. In cards game, there should never be anything like infinite value cards. I would love HS to be 30 vs 30 cards. No DKs, no OTKs, no fckn neverending hero powers, Elysianas, Jades... thats just a bullshit mechanics. So yeah, nerf incoming is great but it will be the same after a while.
Hello. Please, explain to me why in every single fckn expansion, theres some deck thats just goes "infinite". It started mainly with a DKs, Dr Boom, Rexxar, cubelock, jades and finally, when i was thinking it will be finally over, theres Elysiana and now Pogo. Tell me, what is wrong with 30 vs 30 cards decks? I actually think that discover is the best keyword in the game, but as a 3 mana 2/2 minion "discover a card". Not with some crap like generating 10 cards or worse. Infinite value and OTK is killing the game for me. This pogo rogue is basically new jades. Yes they dont have plagues and so but meta is different and theres much more to support their concept of near to infinite pogos. Theres more than 3 cards than can shuffle your cards back, or giving it back to your hand without losing much tempo. Im curious, what is so apealing for developers in this "infinite value" mechanics? Am i fckn missing something? Bcs its just repeling for me. Yeah you may counter them with some cripl aggro but they are still more than a viable deck and im seriously curious what is going on here. And i dont want to be forced to play counter decks or lose. Best hearthstone for me is just 30 cards game, you used it all, you lost. You have to think through your deck to have a balance between early, mid and late game. You can focus on one of those parts of the game, but than you will have weak others. Those "jade" decks are just imunne to those rules. Im seriously lost. Someone explain this to me or im simply done with it. Still the same.
Agreed. I keep saying that decks should have 30 cards and no more. No infinite value cards, no more "shuffle 20 cards to your deck", no OTK. 30 vs 30 cards. Ofc something like 3mana 2/2 discover A card is okay, but no Elysiana. That creates stupid games.
Had so much fun with Lucentbark resto druid. Not sure if it will be a thing in the meta but i was great. Secret paladin is not working as it is but May be better if it switch to more midrange type. Also tried arena. Naxx cards was fun. Shade od naxxramas on turn, ending up 8/8 :D

Classic rock paper scissor scenario of HS.

Anub'arak is bad but good (Hit hard and great dr effect, repeatable pressure every turn.... theoretically)
Rhok'delar Is good but bad (i mean, those stats and such a massive restriction? But it worked :) )
