I played control warrior yesterday from rank 2 to Legend. Was farming hunters, rogues, and druids. mage seems like the only bad match-up but not many mages seem to know how to play the match-up. The other negative is that the mirrors can take ages... At least not as bad as before the nerfs. That was my experience anyway.
I'd personally get rid of "The Beast" if you're in a hurry to craft something. That card never sees play... Valeera at least could be fun in wild still.
2-0 in a regular arena run with Hunter. Then MC tech happens. Three f***** games in a row. With each loss, the salt intensified. I had so much bad rng these games, on top of my best minion every time being taken by MC Tech, it was like my above average Hunter deck just wasn't meant to be. Still feeling salty thinking back of it. F***
Arena is not that reliable, you need i think if i remember correct seven wins to break even(?), so unless you're incredibly lucky i'd shy away from it if i were you.
7 wins allows one to go infinite, meaning you get at least 150 gold + a pack. If you reach 3 wins you break even, meaning at least 50 gold + a pack that is worth 100 gold. So just consider if you reach 3+ average if the time-investment of playing arena is worth it to get the little bit of extra gold instead of buying the packs outright.
I personally love playing arena and have always had around a 6+ win average, more recently am somehow managing to have 7+ average. I end up playing more to collect the cards rather than to actually use them in standard as I often don't enjoy it as much as arena. Standard gets stale pretty quickly for me. Same decks all the time, so yeah, I'm pretty biased :p
Either I'm getting better or luck is on my side. This is my second month of having an average 7+ score. One more game of 7+ and I might make it into the top 200 again.
I think everyone that thinks this is a good idea, needs to follow some anger-management classes.
Not sure what ya'll trying to achieve, but it certainly isn't going to stop anyone from playing Pirates or Quest Rogue. If you're just in it to completely obliterate the deck you hate playing against a few times, at the cost of losing/conceding to all other decks, then I guess you can, but what's the point? I really don't see it.
It's just a card game guys. Don't let the pirates get under your skin. Take a sad song, and make it better!
Looks as if you don't have all the basic cards yet, and not much else either, so it's going to be quite tough to make anything out of the ordinary. I'd suggest checking out some of the basic guides on Duisguisedtoast.com:
you should be able to make some of these basic decks, maybe needing to replace a card or two that you're missing with something similar. Check out some of the other guides for some useful tips & tricks for beginning players.
Question to everyone who stated that they would not like to see Classic to become free for everyone because of all their time, effort & money spent on the game in the past years:
How do you feel about buying things in real life at a discount? For a lot of things that are made out of something, e.g. Designer clothes, shoes, toys, games, etc. you pay A LOT more if you buy it when the newest version/style hits the market. For everyone that wants to wear/use/play the NEWEST stuff, you pay a lot extra. Everyone else with less money to spend can still get access to these products when they are on sale a few months later (or get stuff second-hand), as shops make way for the new products.
Fact is, Hearthstone consists of DIGITAL cards (that can't be traded). So the need to ask for at least some money, like with discounts, is not even necessary from Blizzard's perspective, as the cards are not made out of something and basically don't cost anything to produce.
Additionally, would you seriously stop playing the game if they did this? Would you start sending hate-mail to blizzard? What do you really care that others finally get to enjoy the oldest part of what you already got to enjoy years before them?

This is coming from someone who started playing December 2015 and doesn't have the full classic set complete yet, though getting close (only missing some epics and legendaries at this point). I wouldn't in the least feel a little bad about others getting this stuff for free, even though I grinded hard to get where I am now. I think it would be good for the game overall, as more people will be interested in playing it, ensuring Hearthstone's future on the market.

Full-disclosure, I'm f2p. However, I'd have the same opinion if I were to have paid for any of the content. I personally decide not to pay for any of the cards currently, mainly because it's not clear what you are getting. I would consider paying for this game if all content was released in the form of adventures. I.e. It's important to me that you pay a set amount to get all the content, not having the possibility to get cheated by drop-rates.
Only other thing I don't like is that the content you buy becomes more and more unplayable as times passes, as it's a subscription based model. Meaning you need to continue to invest money to be able to play. I don't mind to invest my time, while I enjoy playing (and am therefore mainly playing arena, most fun mode while gaining me cards that I can try to build a deck with and play in constructed), but to always need to invest money in order to be able to enjoy the game is not something I like. I'm a perfectionist/completionist at heart and can easily spend hundreds of hours playing a game like Pokemon / Zelda and therefore am not spending anything on Hearthstone, as I will never be able to complete it without investing a monstrous amount of money. Unjustifiably much.
Players who complain a lot for quest rogue, propabaly don't know how this game works. If you want do progress in your ranks, u have to adapt to meta. U can't just make your fun deck, and then complain that it's losing to quest rogue. If there are deck that easily bit that quest rogue, it means its not OP,and it's not. Maybe u get sometimes unlucky and you que into 5, 6 n of them with your bad deck and start complaining, coz u don't know how to handle it. Pirate warrior is bigger issue only coz it's really hard to counter it atm, but still I don't meet too many of them at all, ppl do play lots of random decks and this meta is far more better then last one with all same shamans and pirates.
Pirate warrior is very easy to counter. Just play Taunt warrior or some other deck with lots of taunt/removal/heal and possibly put in some tech-cards if necessary E.g. Elemental Shaman will fair well against Pirate warrior with Jinyu Waterspeaker and Hot Spring Guardian. And you can always play the new Ooze, which breaks weapons and gets you armor.
I don't tilt. I just play if I want to. Kinda like playing the slot-machine but with a little more interaction. Sometimes you hit the jackpot, sometimes you don't. Still fun to spin the wheel and see where it lands. Especially if you can do it for free :)

Why bloodmage? Just double mind blast and play vargoth for 15 damage total is better no? But seems sketchy...

And another one. Got a super lucky Priest draft but still got bested by two other even more insane control decks (priest and shaman):

This would be a very cool improvement to a useless card that would still most likely be very useless afterwards.

Isn't that basically the same as being immune during your own turn e.g. Violet Illusionist?

I don't have it lingering in my head after I stop playing, but rather it just sometimes pops up in my head and I start humming it.
tum, tededededum, tum, tededede, tum, tededede-dude-dude-dude-dudeeee! (repeat :p )
