But there is another problem that you don't notice often: Emperor Thaurissant is enabling those crazy combos and should be nerfed too (like making his effect a battlecry)
If you'd make Thaurissan effect a battlecry, you could use the discount the same turn you play it. Plus it gets auto remove 90% of the time so it wouldn't be that much of a change on the outcomes.
If you really want to tech Kezan Mystic in, switch it with a four/five drop, I personnaly run one instead of a Sludge Belcher, and it is really nice against Hunter and Mage, but I feel like Sludge Belcher is more consistent and I'll probably switch back.
It's a personal preference, but don't mess too much with the mana curve :)
(I went from rank 9 to 5 in a single win strike with a very similar decklist)
enter the coliseum - if you think about it, it really doesnt do anything to help, if still lets them keep their biggest threat, like a frothing beserker.....
I still don't think it ranks in the ten worst cards of the expansion. It basically cleans up the board of your opponent (and yours, but it doesn't matters if you are behind) and can be followed by an Aldor Peacekeeper.
Plus you can trade your minions into the big enemy guy so it has only few HP left before playing this card and finish him with your last minion.
It might be a bit situationnal, but there are like 30/40 cards in this expansion that are way worse.
Sorry to interfere, but how are you going to play Frost Giant after you Echoed him? You need to play your hero power 10 more times, or am I wrong? Also why Alexstraza? Do we need her even after we play 8 giants?
Alexstrasza has a lot of versatility in this deck. It allows for kills from full life after a turn where you were only able to put two giants on the board (you had only one Molten Giant in your hand + echo or two giants and no echo). The advantage with that play is your opponent can't heal beforehand, while against classic freeze mage people keep their heal for after alex.
It also plays as another heal. When they've burned your iceblock and you have a strong board but no lethal, you don't want to die to a quickshot or a fireball, and Alex will more often then not heal you for at least 10 HP while having a strong body.
Frost Giant will still have his discount after you echo him, no problem playing him again.
Well sometimes you need the second Ice Block if they spotted what decklist you're using and want to OTK you from outside of the molten range. In this case, you can't simply put your giants and taunt up. If they break your Ice Block and leave you at 1/2 HP you'd want to heal or set up an ice block in case they have direct damage.
But I agree, it's quite rare that it's actually needed, most of the time it will be a dead card in your hand or wouldn't save you for long enough to come back and win the game. Cutting one leaves you much more vulnerable to Kezan Mystic though.
I think explosive sheep is pretty neat against almost every type of matchup, he can clean up the board after a flame strike, but why not.
I'll have to try that out as soon as I can get my hand on a Frost Giant .
Since in Echo-Giant decks (like Nevillz one) you tend to use your hero power a lot, that makes Frost Giant a decent choice.
I think it would improve overall consistancy, as it's a guaranted lost with this deck if both your molten giants are in the 10 last cards.
I was wondering which cards I could replace to fit some frozen giants in. I could make it a one-off and cut Sylvanas Windrunner for it but I don't really like the idea.
Oops I read your post but didn't answer the question.
I think a frost giant could be nice in control warrior as you use your hero power almost every turn, plus it has no drawbacks when drawn into play with Varian Wrynn.
In CW you want to have very few minions on the board at the same time and most of those minions should have some extra effect like a battlecry but I guess the giant should be OK as it will not cost much and you'll be able to do some other things out of your turn.
Joust is just too rng based to rely on it in a control vs control matchup. It might be useful against aggro though, eg with this pally card that heals you if you win the joust.
Inspire seems kind of slow to build a deck around it as most of the time you won't be able to trigger the effects on the same turn, but I might be proven wrong, who knows.

I'll probably play token pally and Rhonin + Malygos deck (if I get Rhonin from packs though).
I'll try to put one or two Frost Giants in echo mage, should be quite fun.

It's not about a deck being hard to play... if it's superior to anything else there's clearly a problem.

Here is the current decklist i'm using :

I would rather see another form of Echo-Giant mage with Frozen + Molten Giant, with all the tools the current deck uses to stall early /mid game.
But go on, test it, it's always nice to try out new things.

Maybe you could put one of those into an Echo-Giant deck.
You tend to use your hero power a lot in the early turns and it could add to the combo.

I think both of them could see play in some way.

Yes it does count towards daily quests as it gives XP to the class you were playing

This Alleria deck is so bad...
