The real question is do you run a Chillblade Champion to increase the chances it has lifesteal in control Paladin.

posted a message on THE LICH KING CONFIRMED CARD IN THE GAME!!!! LOOK

but I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually hope that it's not a super expensive control card, there are already some immensely powerful control cards in this expansion.

Something more to punish stall and burst decks like Freeze and Secret Mage would be my biggest wish just because Mage has a chance to ruin the entire expansion with frost nova and ice block alone.

At the end of the day I'm looking at eg my control paladin deck and it has so many incredible new tools like Roghteous defender, Bolvar and the deathknight, corpsetaker and that's on top of Tirion, rag, wickerflame, Tarim, steed.. I mean it's getting insane, these are some of the best cards in the history of the game. It doesn't need another 5-10 mana legendary bomb.

Call me crazy but maybe it's aggro that need the help now? Or combo? Midrange?

I just want the Lich King to be 1) unique 2) viable and 3) to increase the power of underrepresented archetypes/decks, not make already strong ones even better.

posted a message on What do you think of the expansion so far?

As usual I a more worried about the unfun degenerte shit from the previous set (jade druid, all Mage decks, pirate warrior) from ruining the potential of the new set.

Jade Druid has the hardest counter card ever printed in Hearthstone so that's encouraging but I really worry about Mage. At the end of the day it has so much uninteractive direct damage to the face built into the basic set plus Ice Block so it takes very very little for it to become meta ruining, as we see now.

posted a message on Where is the jade idol counter we were supposed to see in wednesday?

I'm more concerned that no counter card introduced by the devs to balance the game has ever been successful in doing so. None of the crabs, none of the secret hate, nothing.

So far, only nerfs/rotations have succeeded in that job, so I just hope whatever this card is it has been designed with a lot more forethought than those previous attempts.

posted a message on New Rogue Legendary Revealed! - Lilian Voss!

I'm surprised people have not learnt their lesson with Rogue legendaries. As a general rule I would advise assuming they are better than you think and then try to figure out why.

In this case it should be fairly obvious.

You play this in Miracle Rogue as a chance to reroll a hand of dead spells to keep you in the game.

Those spells would be better paired with an Auctioneer but you only have two of those and not drawing them in time can be fatal. This is a third chance to draw a possible redemption, you drop this and your petals and coins have a chance to become something worthwhile and you sacrifice no tempo on the stat line when doing so.

So it's a card that can reduce the chance of an already strong deck from encountering it's only significant fail state...

It's an auto include in Miracle Rogue. 4.5/5 legendary.

posted a message on Attitude towards imbalance in this game is an embarrassment to the community

For some reason I can't find the thread but about 6 months ago I posted one of many threads complaining about how imbalanced and unfun the Druid's force of nature and savage roar combo was.

I was angrily told by members here that there was nothing wrong with the combo, it was absolutely fine, that unlike all the other nerfs in the game, this one wasn't necessary.

Of course the same people claimed the same thing of Undertaker, UTH, Warsong etc. etc. before those nerfs. They were wrong every time.

Now with the rebalancing of the classic set everyone is convinced that FoN + SR will be finally balanced. Suddenly because Krip and Firebat and whoever else is advocating it, it's ok to admit that it's a problem?

Just wanted to make those of you who constantly apologise for Blizzard's poor balancing that your hypocrisy and lack of rationality has not gone unnoticed and due to yourselves the Hearthstone community will probably never be able to be taken seriously on matters of balance.

I love decks like this with multiple options that actually reward you for thinking carefully about your plays rather than just dumping minions on curve.

posted a message on Why shaman doesn't work.

In vanilla the class was actually perfectly playable. Both overload and RNG removal are punished hard by deathrattle, so that's one thing, but Shamans class cards have just been so short sighted since then. Paladin was utter trash for a long time, GvG changed that. GvG just gave Shaman more of the same RNG and overload then BRM and TGT have obviously tried hard to make Shaman work in clever ways but simply due to the speed of the meta and the importance of tempo none of it has worked.

I feel bad for the devs because I know they're trying but this should highlight to them the consequences of their overall design decisions for Hearthstone and how it limits classes to tempo and aggro play and punishes slower strategies.

posted a message on Has anyone reached legend with Shaman this month?

I initially had success with shaman post release but only for that couple of days where any new deck tends to take people by surprise.

Since then the class has been absolutely dire.

posted a message on Predictions for the next adventure: 2016?

Just wondering if you guys think we're done for 2016 or if we're going to get another adventure in Nov/Dec?

I find it hard to imagine the meta will not be deeply stale by January if we don't get anothe injection of cards this year, plus it would seem to make sense to have something available for the holiday season, but at the same time it would be the first year we've had 3 expansions.

I just really want to see Shaman and Rogue get some new cards this year to give life to their currently struggling TGT archetypes.

Also any guesses on which raid? Obviously it's a pure guess but if there is one his winter it'd be nice to fit the vibe with Icwcrown.

posted a message on Is Shaman even any better than pre-TGT?

My main worry is that with expansions adding about 2 new class cards, it's possible we're in for the same situation for a long ass time. I suppose neutrals in the winter's adventure could make a difference but look at what Naxx and BRM did for the class, absolutely nothing. It's gonna take two really stellar class cards in the next expansion which will be what, November-ish time? And if we don't get that then goodnight sweet Shaman until the next major expansion some time Q2 2016?!?!

posted a message on Is Shaman even any better than pre-TGT?

I think the issue is that TBV just isn't enough to make Totems a reliable win condition, it's just so so slow. Even Quartermaster is faster and that wasn't fast enough to keep Midrange Pala a top tier deck for more than a few weeks after GvGs launch.

I agree that Shaman would be very strong in a slower meta, but it's just going to happen is it, TGT was entirely based around slowing the mets down and still it's nothing but fast and combo decks. Without massive changes to the game, which won't happen, then game just won't slow down.

So are we basically just sitting waiting for an aggro or combo Shaman?

posted a message on Having little success with Totem Shaman lately
    Quote from EscapeArtistEU jump

Went from 9 to 5 with 1 loss atm with my deck. Only loss was against a Miracle Rogue, where I had the worst draw I've ever had with this deck. I played my first minion on turn 5 :D With a normal draw it would have been a win.

That's really so radically different to the experience most people are having with these decks, I don't understand it!
