First game I got Astral Communion while having 8 cards in hand and 10 mana already. Glad it only took 2 games to win this one. I sur will be glad to NOT having to play this brawl again. Not only do we not get to build our deck we have a RNG fest so skill doesn't matter.
This easily makes it into the top 10 worst brawls.

Feb 17, 2014Kvothe posted a message on Rushes, rushes everywhere, rushes destroying the gamePosted in: General DiscussionSorry but I have to disagree. I have very much fun in control games whether I win or lose; I easily say "well played" to the other person and proceed to the next game with a good feeling even if I lose. Against aggro decks... not so much. As you don't even get a chance to respond unless you get that 1 draw that can save you. And in case their draw is good, not even that will help. It's very annoying to play against. Personal opinion though.
To the people who criticize aggro. You suggest you to try it at least once to experience its thrills. It's not easy as just hit the face as you think. Blindly hitting face may win you some lucky games but against experienced players that won't happen. You have to really calculate a lot, when to trade, when to hit face to maximize your damage because you know that when it's turn 6 or 7 you will be running out of fire power and opponents start to drop big taunters.
For me who used to favor control desk, I find it extremely thrilling when winning using rush desk. Those were moments that exact calculation makes a difference between life and death. Like the time when my last war dog finish off the opponent at 2 hp before he finish me off with his fire ball. Also the lucky tracking -> Timber wolf + Kill command + Hero power finisher when Opponent Druid was so well protected behind 2 big taunters and I was waiting to lose the game Lol.
I've played quite a bit of control as well as aggro during the ranked seasons so far, frankly speaking aggro is far easier to win with on average until you get up to rank 4-5. A well built aggro deck doesn't need to maintain board control at all you just need to get some value for most of what you drop. Yes, if the control deck stabilizes then it does put the aggro player on a clock, but by that point in the majority of games you already have the opponent so low that its pitifully easy to finish up. For the example you used, burn hunter doesn't really take skill to play, most decks you know what to expect at early-mid etc and can simply plan accordingly.

I usually keep golden cards until I'm short dust to craft something sizable ie 400+ dust then I just get rid of whatever. Sure the card is nice visually but as you get no tangible bonus I'll take new cards over pretty artwork

Very interesting read...I'm more or less familiar with all the concepts (mostly due to other card games I've played in the past) but very interesting nonetheless. Thanks for posting

I ran a couple of those when I was playing my priest deck finished the game at 30. I can see it being usefull with the right draws though.
Should add mid game pally has a good chance to crush the straight aggro decks

I was watching a stream earlier today of someone going between rank 3-4 constructed he mainly was playing against mage druid priest and an occasional shaman.
Probably should add he was playing a mid-late priest deck no mind control but rag sylvanas and molten giants

Haven't had any issues against pally, although I rarely run into them in ranked. Druid is really the only class that has consistently given me issues due to the large amount of healing they hold onto.
I did try running an aggro mage deck but found it to be too inconsistent and change to a control mage build so my milage would vary compared to yours.

Golden flame imp looks awesome, I doubt that many people are that hard up for dust. Assuming they were and didn't play lock that golden lock card is already long gone most likely.

Mainly if the picks I made were good any questionable ones etc which you pretty much did. Would like to be able to get high wins consistently. Think I had one 7win and the rest. Sometimes I get in the habit of second guessing my card picks.

Went 9-0 pally deck I think I got a very nice variety of a lot of good picks but feel free to let me know what you guys think of the deck list. Was my first time making 9wins at all so very happy personally but feedback would be great as mentioned.
