Hearthpwn

Fuck the meta so far this month. I'm used to hanging out ranks 11-13 and can't get past fucking rank 16 so far this month. I'll win a couple on a nice streak and then it is LOSS after LOSS. I've already gone through six different decks, including most of the popular ones and NOTHING is consistently doing well! Also, fuck fucking aggro secret paladins and mech mages. I'd honestly try secret paladin if I had the cards and I tried mech mage but I didn't get the ungodly fucking hands everyone else seems to get with that deck. #saltyashell #rngesushasforsakenme

My friend who I play with has told me when playing with Paladin against decks with lots of removal that I should not use Shielded Mini to bait multiple removal spells out with. He says Shielded Minis should always be used to fill curve against an empty board or to removal specific targets, he says that Hero Power for Paladin is enough to bait removal. I've played a lot of Warlock myself however and I was hoping to bait out multiple spells by dropping the mini.

I respect his opinion because he plays at ranks 3-5 while I'm only at 10-12 at the time being (I catch game losing misplays of his from time to time though which makes me wonder why I can't get to where he is at my skill level >.<), but at the same time I'm used to baiting for removal with the other styles of deck I play (namely Hunter or certain Priest decks) and to be told not to bait removal when playing Paladin caught me off guard. Is his information correct? Do I really not need to bait removal with Paladin?

Edit:  Plus the warlock I was playing against didn't even use another removal and wiped the whole board with HF except for my mini allowing me to still have board presence after HF. I'm old to Hearthstone, but new to playing Paladin.
