posted a message on Question About the Duplicate Legendary Rule

Yeah, that was it. I have never gotten all legendaries in a set before, so that was a pleasant surprise :)  Anyways, thanks for all of your help!

posted a message on Question About the Duplicate Legendary Rule

I was opening some Christmas Day Rastakhan packs, and I ended up opening a Mojomaster Zihi. That was one of the cards that I wanted to open, so I was quite happy. Later on in the pack opening, I noticed that I had opened another Mojomaster Zihi. I thought that was strange since I recall that duplicate legendaries were prevented in a patch over a year ago. I am posting here to ask if I had missed something with regards to the duplicate legendary system, and if any of you have experienced anything similar.

I want to clarify that I am absolutely not complaining or whining about this (I never complain about opening a legendary or epic). In fact, I ended up having a very VERY good pack opening today (I think it was 6 legendaries, 2 of them golden) so I am definitely not complaining about anything, nor am I demanding any compensation. I am just curious if I had missed anything regarding duplicate legendaries or if it was just a random bug. I also wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced the same thing and if/where I should report this supposed bug to Blizzard.

Just a side note, I did not disenchant any of my cards right before, during, or after the pack opening, and none of the Mojomaster Zihis were golden (I don't think that should matter, but just in case it helps. Also, this is one of my first posts on this site, so I apologize if I have broken any rules or my images don't show up right.

Agreed. 7 mana is way too much for an effect that is hard to make use of afterwards.

posted a message on Luna's Pocket Galaxy

So far a lot of the legendary spells have been disappointing in my opinion. Warrior spell is a bit boring, Warlock spell was pretty disappointing since it can only really be used in 1 or 2 decks, Priest spell is meh, and Rogue spell doesn’t seem very useful in most situations. Luna’s pocket galaxy will probably follow the same trend, being something like 6 Mana: Deal 2 damage to a minion, spell damage on this spell counts as double; weird and not necessary for a decent mage deck to have. Sorry to be rlly negative, but my expectations for exciting, creative legendary spells are not high right now.

Lol I forgot about that one! Your right though, that square is probably a better fit for it.

I think Mecha’thun qualifies as a Legendary Buildaround, so we can cross that square off. Now all we need is a mech for the Mage class!

posted a message on Disapointed class KFT legendaries?

I don't understand why so many people are disappointed with underwhelming/bad class legendaries. For 4 months, people have been bitching about how so many legendaries and epics they needed to craft in Un'goro and how Blizzard hates f2p players. Bad class legendaries means less dust needed to craft competitive cards. The legendaries so far have very cool and unique effects that aren't too powerful, and that's the way it needs to be.

    Put your spoiler here.

posted a message on KotFT launch date

I predict it will release on August 17th. This would mean it would release on a Thursday, like other expansions have. We would have 2 weeks and a bit for card reveals, a reveal dump, and then a little less than a week until the expansion launches like the past couple. August 17th seems like a very plausible date for me.

posted a message on Pirates are not the problem (nerf Kor'kron Elite & Arcanite Reaper)

I don't believe that arcanite reaper and kork'ron elite are the main oppressors that make up pirate warrior. The problem lies into the highly synergistic relationship in pirate warrior's insane opener; small time buccaneer, patches, and n'zoth's first mate (the unstoppable trio).

stb and patches make up what is the pirate package and n'zoth's first mate wraps it up in a big red bow for the warrior class. You can think of the trio as a tripod.

I predict that since these three cards have such large amounts of synergy between them, that if you nerf one of them, the whole tripod collapses; nerfing one of the Pirates destroys the whole pirate package for warrior, thus making the deck less powerful. However, this tripod relationship is specific to warrior.

In regards to the pirate package as a whole (aka patches and stb in shaman, warrior, and rogue), I believe that the same still holds true, in that nerfing one of the two oppressing pirates will ultimately nerf the package as a whole.

Since patches is fairly difficult to nerf without destroying the card completely or changing its flavor, I think small time buccaneer will be the one to receive the axe and probably the most deservedly of the Pirates. Same also applies to n'zoth's first mate, in which nerfing him will only somewhat nerf the pirate package for warrior and shamans and rogues will still be able to take advantage of it. Again, we return at small time buccaneer with him being the one who will eventually be nerfed and somewhat solving the pirate problem. Solving the pirate problem this way will nerf the decks using it and leveling them down closer to tier 2 decks and making them less oppressive as they currently are.

Good. Everyone hated tempo Mage anyway. Most people, including me, are glad it didn't get any new tools.
