Pretty much always Mad Scientist, Arcanologist and Aluneth. It's nice when you can set up a sneaky clear or efficiently take care of a threatening minion on your opponent's side of the board, but most of the time you aren't interacting with anything other than their face so you can run them down.

That's a pretty good inclusion, I didn't think of that. I'm trying it out right now at Legend and wishing that I had that card so I could tech it in, deck is still super fun without it though.

The key differences to this list being the definite inclusion of Stargazer Luna and the lack of Apexis SmugglerApexis Smuggler seems like a great inclusion, a lot of times I felt like I needed a certain spell to close out the game but my hand was full of cards like Fireball and Secrets. Hit Legend with a 59% winrate, but maybe that would've been helped by Smuggler? Hard to say, but this seems pretty cool.

You can, but it's a Cult Sorceror is much cheaper for essentially the exact same effect. No one's going to craft a legendary for a Tavern Brawl, and even if they did they'd never draw Solarian Prime in time for it to actually matter since this deck is so fast.

First two things that jump out at me are Reliquary of Souls and the distinct lack of Radiant Elemental. If you're running a deck that lacks draw, Reliquary of Souls is pretty much just a 1/3 with Lifesteal and that's it. That's not very good. If you're running a deck that wants to play Lyra, Radiant Elemental is a must have, since you can pull of these insane combo turns by playing lots of spells all at once, and since there are tons of 1, 2 and 0 cost priest spells, your turns become much longer and more safe if you can stick a Radiant Elemental first. Finally, to touch on the card draw, if you want to keep Reliquary of Souls then I'd suggest running Northshire Cleric, some other form of card draw and definitely Shadow Visions. I know you have Shadow Essence to pull Reliquary Prime and your other Big cards out of your deck, but the amount of times you'll hit that after shuffling Reliquary of Souls into your deck with no card draw is really unlikely.

Seems OK, but you don't have any finishers. Maybe Catrina Muerte or Mass Resurrection would fit, but they seem a bit slow. It's certainly a hard problem to solve for Priest.

Which in turn will kill any amount of fun or viability when it comes to experimentation. Everyone will play the safe, proven decks that come from the stream (because who can blame them), and experimental decks will have awful winrates because they aren't as well defined as a deck that came right from the hands of an exceptionally skilled player.

Even though I started playing in beta, the launch I best remember is when Un'Goro launched, no one had any idea what was going on and the rotation made the game extremely fresh and fun again. Quests were insanely fun (except Rogue, ick), there were cheap viable aggro decks again for the first time in a long while, and tons of experimentation occurred with cards like Finja that everyone thought was terrible. It felt like a renaissance for the game, and I feel like streams like this take all that fun and hand it over to streamers who already play a ton of Hearthstone anyways. Now, as soon as the expansion launches, tons of older players like me will be coming back to decently full collections of older cards due to the free deck and Hall of Fame, everyone else will be able to just netdeck their way through the new rank system to get lots of packs and dust, and all of the fun experimentation will be next to impossible versus already solved decks and whatever the most popular aggro flavor is (seems like it's Dragon Hunter right now, but I haven't played the game in months so don't quote me on that).

I don't think anyone dislikes watching it, it's the timing of it that's awful. The meta gets solved really quickly if 16 really smart people get to sit down and work on decks live against each other.

Closing your eyes doesn't stop the meta from being solved, the game will still become stale faster and not watching the stream does nothing.

He seemed kind of constrained by Hearthstone since he's been working on it for so long, so I'm glad that he's now able to work on something cool with Mike. I hope people don't extrapolate this to mean that the game is dying because it seems like it's doing well, but that seems like the minority opinion.

posted a message on Galakrond's Awakening - All Remaining Cards Revealed!

Really sad to see how far Blizzard has fallen since the early days of Hearthstone. I kept holding out for them to change and be more fair towards their player base, but I'm glad I stopped playing a while ago because it's clear they're never going to change. Kind of disgusting how heavily monetized this game is, they keep coming up with more stupid and greedy excuses to suck people's wallets dry. Maybe they can smell the blood in the water and want to get as much money as they can before people quit for good? There's no way to know for sure really, but that's the feeling I'm getting.
