What I have learned so far from this deck...
- While you have so many C'Thun buffing tools, you need to play them to their best potential on curve. Don't try to build a big fat C'Thun at the expense of smart, patient, efficient trading.
- Trade, trade, trade and get those taunts out. Even your soft taunts are a good play if you have nothing else. Trying to save Brann Bronzebeard for the ultimate C'Thun combo is not worth it if you can use him to bait out removal and keep initiative.
- Ramp as much as possible but not at the expense of trading and keeping initiative/board control. Even holding onto a Wild Growth till late game can be worth it if it's not efficient to use. Heck, the turn 10 card draw from it has save me a few times.
- Don't mulligan C'Thun away, he is your win condition and you have little draw. To have him in hand the whole game gives you a great chance to win. I've only lost one game when I had him in my opening draw and that was due to a massive ice mage spell combo obliterating me turn 9.
- You have a ton of taunts (including soft ones), use them as much as possible each turn to stall.
- People who know the deck play against turn 10 by trying to fill the board with minions. If you have a good shot for board clear then don't be afraid to drop C'Thun when they have a ton of minions out. It still leaves the body they have to deal with the next turn and no more tempo for them.
- Don't be greedy. This is a stall/control deck at it's core with a obvious win condition. But the win condition is not necessary if you play the trade game. I've won my last 3 games in a row by just playing stall and letting them try to clear then dropping a well placed swipe to the face surprises everyone. They are scared of C'Thun, fine let them be, just be patient and play the curve.
I am 70%+ with a slightly modified version of this deck but it's core is solid. Time will tell as people will learn the counters but for now I'm happy with it.
