It's not called an archetype. it's a called a variant. Look up the definitions. I swear, every time i see another sheep use this word incorrectly, i almost vomit in my mouth.
Every time I see a commenter made with an inflated sense of inflated self-worth, I want them to vomit in their mouth too.

The wording is not similar. Betrayal is not affected by spell damage since the minion is dealing damage, not the spell as with shadowflame.

Hearthstone mechanics make sense. They give you the ruleframe and you act within it. No issues there, you just have to learn them. An actual problem is that there is no rulebook you can learn the rules from. And that some rules are used inconsistent by new cards, so that you cannot predict 100% how the card will behave in fringe cases. And that happens again and again...

They are free to lock any thread without it being against the rules, in particular if it is not leading anywhere. And it wasn't since your post was inviting people who took you seriously to start flaming you (even if not intended). The following "discussion" you can already spectate in the "Mindblast" thread. There was no real value to your satirical thread.
If you violate rules, you get a warning, but violating rules is not a condition for a thread to get locked.

So you think because you want all cards of a set, that is the "true" price of the card game?
The "true" price of hearthstone is the amount of money you have to spend to have a fun game experience. Usually that was 50-100 bucks per expansion for me (pre-order+1 time 40 cards). And that got me every Tier 1 and 2 deck (I also played always the dailies). This time it is 0 bucks since I just bought packs with gold and do not have much fun with hearthstone at present. Other people did not spend a single dime on Hearhtsone in their whole Hearhtstone career and fully enjoy it.
So no, 400 bucks is surely not the "true" price for hearthstone. The 400 bucks give you the idea how much money you have to spend to get a full card set of an expansion. Which is quite different from the "true" price of hearthstone.

In a midrange deck I prefer to have single target removal as well. Devolve is surely a good card, in particluar against Druid or murloc decks, but when it comes to Tirion or other 6 to 10 mana minions like primordial drake or a big Jade, Devolve will often not improve your situation significantly due to the big body it leaves behind. I personally would replace at least one devolve with a Hex . But then again, it also depends on the meta. If your opponents are mostly aggro, then hex doesn't really help you. Nevertheless, I prefer only one devolve. I'd probably run Bloodmage Thalnos for a guaranteed spell damage (and card draw).

I like the dungeon run mode so I play it quite a lot at present. From time to time, I get the chance for great synergies which are not only overpowered (like having the Battle Totem and a lot of Jade or C'thun cards, Justicar's Ring and Captured Flag for Paladin or scepter of summoning with lots of Big minions) but also really funny (but often much less consistent because you need specific cards). Of course, it also depends on the opponents you get (having stealth against a level 6/7 Candlebeard is almost always a death sentence), but when you get the right opponent, it can be a cakewalk.
The most fun combo was a warrior with Cloak of Invisibility and Grim Patron (I had 2 in my deck). Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots, but being able to dictate the trades was really helpful with the patrons and you basically did not need many other minions on the board.
Another fun game was with mage. Having Captured Flag and Frost Lich Jaina totally countered the Darkness (running the 4/7 water elemental into the darkspawn and pinging it for another water elemental while the first one stayed alive).
And the reason for this thread was a recent run, when I chose Totem of the Dead and got 2 Val'anyr (as nearly my only deathrattle card, but it was worth it). After the first minion got the (double) buff and died, it quickly gets out of hand. And finally a 42/25 charger won me the game (in my hand was still a 72/something Furnacefire Colossus ). Wax rager helped of course as well, in particluar for trading, but he also stole them from me and that put me under high pressure.
Surely there are more funny interactions. Any experiences or ideas what synergies are funny and gamewinning, but not very common (so I can go for it the next time I get it offered)?
