Jade Druid should be enough for you to hit rank 5 easily...

As I was sure someone would point out.  As I stated originally, I'm not disputing that Jade is a strong deck.  However, contrary to some belief, you do actually have to know what you're doing to really do well with this deck, and I unfortunately have little experience playing Jade druid, so I'm struggling.

Anyone who actually read the original post would be able to tell that OP is not concerned with the quality of the new expansion, but rather the timing - and I would agree.

I'm having a lot of fun with the new cards and the new decks, but like the OP i would rather have it all start at the beginning of the month.

Its just disorienting to grind part way up  the ladder in the first week using a deck you are familiar with - only to lose ground and momentum navigating the new meta midstream.

Thank you for actually reading and comprehending my post.  I see that's a bit too much to ask of many others.  You are absolutely correct, I'm not commenting on the quality of cards in KFT.  I am stating, as you said, that it's very disorientating to rank part way then have all chaos break loose.
To the person who said, what would the difference be if it launched at the beginning of the month, I'd say - expectations.  If the expansion launched 8/1, right off the bat I would expect I'd not hit legend as I got used to new decks, but with mid-month launches, I felt good where I was going, then got slammed and it's not a good feeling.

Count me as someone who wishes they'd launch expansions at the beginning of a month, not in the middle.  I took a long break from the game and came back about 2 weeks before Ungoro launched.  I pre-ordered it, and saved my gold and dust.  When it launched I crafted some decks and started playing.  I was rusty, but each month I got better and better.  First month finished around 5, then hit 4, then 3 then last month I hit rank 1.  I had several decks I was comfortable playing and had a good grasp of the meta and thought this month might be the one I finally broke through for Legend.  I was rank 6 the night before the expansion hit, so on any normal month I know I'd have hit 5 the next day and would have had close to 3 weeks to grind for legend, but Nooooooooo!  KFT launches and all hell breaks loose.  It's chaos with new decks.  I didn't pull very many great cards and at this moment only have 2 viable decks:  jade and ramp druid.

Now, you're going to say, those are awesome decks!  That may very well be true, but they are only awesome if you're good at them, and they are decks I hardly ever played, so I'm not particularly good at them.  I have about 5,800 dust, but am hesitant to craft anything at the moment because I want to see the meta settle before I make my big crafts.  So, as of this writing I've fallen back to rank 8, and have no current go-to deck.  Suffice it to say I'm disappointed and not happy at all for the launch of KFT.  I'm wondering if there are others who feel the same way?

posted a message on Conceding after playing a bunch of cards....

So I'm sure this is just my own shitty attitude about it, but if I know I've lost, I'm going to play quest stuff if it benefits me, then concede.  My opponent got the win, if that's not enough, then my thought is that my opponent doesn't like that, they can eat a dick and go get their quest done on someone else's time.

100% agree.  I mostly play all my games in ranked, so if I'm at the point I know I'm going to lose, chances are I'm none too happy about it.  Having read this thread though, I'm very happy to hear that some people who win are still going to be upset.  This will propel me to make sure I concede after I play my cards so that I know there is a chance I've pissed the winner off.     :)

posted a message on Greetings at the end of the match, BM?

I've noticed a new trend over the past couple months in which people won't say anything when the match begins, but once the match is almost over, and only if they are clearly going to win, they will suddenly emote "Greetings".

Now, my assumption is this is Bad manners and they are being jerks, but I'm curious to see if this is how most people see it?

posted a message on Rank 5 to Legend

As an update, I'm still rank 5.  This past 9 days have been the most brutal I've experienced in Hearthstone.  I've lost so many games it's not even funny.  I've tried so many different decks it's not funny.  I've made it to rank 4 twice, but almost immediately lose 4-5 straight and fall right back to rank 5.

Is this normal?  I knew I'd have losses, but man, I was not prepared to constantly lose 4 and 5 and 6 straight.  As soon as I win 2-3 and feel like I'm starting to get rolling, blam, lose 4 in a row and drop all the way back to zero stars, rank 5.  I feel like the last 9 days has been a waste since I have not made any progress at all.

When people say "read the meta" what does that really mean?  How quick are you to change a deck?  Do you change after 1 loss, or 2 losses or 3?  Even when I've changed, I haven't found that I'm still facing the same decks, it seems whenever I change, the next opponent I face is a hard counter to whatever deck I changed to.

Do you just stick out the 1 or 2 decks you settled on and keep plugging?  I'll be honest, I'm so frustrated and confused now that I don't know what to do.  I don't even know what deck to play each time I log on at this point.   Is this normal for others?  I know I'm not a legend player, but I always felt I was pretty decent and right now I feel like I don't have any skill at all.    :(

Thanks.  Gonna give this deck a try.  This was for Cluelesspug.

Thanks everyone else for all the constructive replies.  I won't lie....it's been brutal since hitting rank 5.  I've lost so many matches my head is spinning and I've been on tilt more than a few times.  I'm going to try to take some of these suggestions, most specifically picking 1 or 2 decks to stick with and keep plugging.  I think I've gotten so frustrated that I've swapped too many decks to the point I can't get any continuity going.

posted a message on Rank 5 to Legend

So I hit rank 5 a few days ago (it's now 5/17/17) and am going to try to push for legend.  So far it's been brutal.  I briefly made it to 2 stars, rank 4, then promptly lost 6 straight and went right back to no stars rank 5.  I'm currently sitting at rank 5.

I'm looking for advice on a class or classes to use to try to push legend?  This would be for standard format.  Here are the solid decks I have:

Quest warrior, pirate warrior, murloc-aggro pally, murloc-mid pally, burn mage, secret mage, elemental/jade shaman and mid-hunter.  Out of those, what are the recommendations.

My limitation is I'm a fairly casual player, meaning I don't have hours and hours to grind each day.  I need a deck that's going to be fairly consistent.  I understand I'm going to lose, but I'm hoping to avoid any more 5-6 game losing streaks.  Any and all help and/or advice is appreciated.
