It's harder to climb when the season begins because many players who were previously higher rank are all doing the same with their best and most consistent decks.
There's not really an ace in the hole here, you're in for the long grind this part of the season
I'm all for it, or having silence type spells and triggers allow heroes as a target. It wouldn't have to do anything but null the weapon ability which is something we have no ability to interact with yet.
Weapon warrior rushes down most bosses before they can do their gimmick, and a jade run on the other classes with double death rattle mix in is still just as potent regardless of their being more battlecries.
Last but not least, picking up the blade pieces as your treasure option is an auto-win for the run if you get the option for both. Fully recommend it even if you only end up with one half, the full weapon obliterated all unfavourable end boss matchups that would otherwise have wasted your time
Priest is all I need, got to the mill boss as my final with a rod of roasting as my fallback.
Used it at 100hp while the boss was at 59, destroyed every minion then me and didn't hit the boss once. I've been fucked by rng before, but that was painful to watch.
It was actually the easiest fight for me, it really depends on your deck composition
Despite being milled I was able to just smash face and remove their board while still having plenty of health even into fatigue 4
That's the great thing about this adventure, your deck can completely dominate a boss that other decks will find seemingly impossible or even entirely impossible
I'm just gonna wait for the inevitable guide on the perfect deck to run through with each class and do that. That's what I did with Frozen throne and worked well! lol
The fights are random and so are the card choices, ultimately your deck might be good against everything except the final boss
Yogg tends to draw cards a lot, almost as much as killing himself. If it's ranked I'd just take the easy win, anything else oh well but I fully intend to lose if I play Yogg at any point ever
As of late there really aren't that many viable wallet decks, most good decks only utilize a handful at most.
So my answer is no, not really. Obviously higher value cards will give you an advantage over a player with less in their collection, but it doesn't mean they stand zero chance either. This is just the nature of card games, the underdog will usually be upset about it but they will eventually be in the opposite position if they keep playing.
Some deck archetypes are just superior matchups, beating them requires some great topdecking and occasionally saving resources after they drop their board wipes.

Yes, the challenge is to overcome it despite the ridiculous odds. It's really fun

The salt threads for these are pretty great, that alone makes me even more content with this game mode

Lower mana cost or remove the random factor

It's an alternate win condition that you've committed to being a coin flip, it's definitely a good idea but you can't rely on it to be your only out.
I can only see it increasing your winrate against decks that would otherwise be a total loss because now you'd have an ace in the hole via rng

Effect requires minions on board and then happens at the end of turn, it's reasonable and gives plenty of time to respond

I believe they made an official announcement about this when the card was revealed, it only destroys cards that are base cost 1 mana.
