I didn't preorder because I was skeptical of the game. I've been a hs player since Naxx and for the last two expansions i didn't play. I had been a rank 5-2 player for years and when the Witchwood expansion hit I stopped playing and landed in rank 20 and stayed there because I didn't want to play. I started playing this expansion three days ago and only opened like 14 packs, and let me tell you this is the most fun I've had since Un'goro. I've played so much I got to rank 5 in two days while having fun and playing fun decks. I've tried Midrange Priest, Control Shaman, Pilfer Rogue, Miracle Rogue, Control Hunter, Aggro Mech Hunter and Big Priest. And I love them all, I can't wait to build more fun decks.
Ps. Also, I know RoS is not the best expansion, it's decent and fresh. But my good experience has been due to the year rotation. The overly strong cards that were printed rotated and RoS being a lower and more balanced expansion has brought a better gaming experience.
Play Miracle Rogue, man. If you're a good miracle player you'll have 100% winrate against Bomb Warrior. Since it's an easy deck, bad player use it, so as a skilled rogue player you can outplay them everytime.
I've been out-aggroing it with my Miracle Rogue and easily beating it with Control Shaman. No current decklist is completely perfected or optimized yet. So we're bound to find better decks that will beat Token Druid with ease. It is winning right now because aggro and fast midrange such as Token Druid prey on slower decks that are not fully optimized, and on not-so-good players.
nah, I play a lot of priest, and the sole reason priest is really good right now is because druid is so good at the moment. Once druid's power goes down so will the priest's. Druid is not letting priest counters to be played hence making priest hard to beat. Once druid is weaker, hunter, rogue and greedy warriors will emerge and keep priest in check. Priest is certainly powerful atm, but no unbeatable. Also I prefered when priest was a hard to play well class. The Rng fiesta that Big Priest is, is demeaning to us priest mains. I believe Razakus is harder to pilot well. And very counter prone too. But who knows? Let's just see what happens.

Im using this homebrew Secret Yogg, and Putricide has been amazing. The deck certainly needs to be piloted by a good player. I managed to climb to R5 from R12 last season. And I'n not even a hunter player, I just started playing hunter this expansion. This season Im already at R11 with it. (But tbh honest I dont think Putricide is worth crafting, just because Huntress is rotating out soon and he may be a tad slow). But if you want to have fun, craft it and play this deck.
Tbh honest, other than some tilts given to me by Druids and their new broken cards the meta has been fun. I've played classes I notmally don't play and its fun. I like the meta.
You can do 2 damage for 1 mana (with a few different cards) - so therefore 5 damage is approximately 2.5 mana. Pretty standard.
That is not how the effects work in the game. You do 2 Damage for 1 Mana, but only 3 for 2 Mana, and as it goes up it doesn't improve much better. By your idea, you would do 10 Damage for 5 Mana, where in reality, they put that effect at 10 Mana.
If you look at card draw, the first card draw is costed at around 2 Mana worth, but once you add a second card to that, it only cost 1 additional mana, at 3, but then it goes back to 2 mana for a third and fourth card.
The way they prices effects is not always linear and there are probably reasons for that to happen. You don't see any in game effect of 5 damage for 2.5 Mana, the closest you see is Mind Blast, which is not 5 damage for 2.5 Mana, it's 5 Conditional Damage for 2 Mana. (They tend to do this. Eviscerate does 4 damage for 2 Mana, if you Combo.)
Oh, yes. You are right, 5dmg is approximately worth around 3.5 mana. I used the vanilla burn as template. Holy Smite = 1mana deal 2, Dark Bomb = 2 mana deal 3, Fireball = 4 mana deal 6. So approximately deal 5dmg is 3.5 mana. Thanks for correcting me :)
OmG I'm so salty. I rarely get salty, since I play for fun and generally yave fun with the game. Also, it's a children's card game. But I just got beat by another Jade motherf*ck*ing druid. I had the board every turn since turn 2 and it felt great since I'm on R6 using a homebrew Tempo Priest. On turn 9 I had a Primoldial Drake, a 5/5 Scalebane and 2/5 a 3/3 and 6/4. This guy plays Auctioneer on his empy board, (btw I'm at 27 health, I leave him at about 22 health), he cycles some cards and puts some jades on board. I make intelligent trades and go face and leave him at 13 health. He the topdecks his drake and innervates a swipe to almost clear my board. I kill his drake with what I had on my turn, and the he manages to top deck ultimate infestation, kills my drake and it all goes to hell from there. Honestly a card with 17.5 mana value for only 10 mana shouldn't have been printed. Just like Jade idol. I can beat jade druid easily, but the idol makes the match one sided. Well, I finally vented so good night!
If it looks like the other guy has no way out on his turn and you think you have lethal next turn, do NOT say 'well played'
Just don't.
It doesn't matter whether or not you genuinely respect the other player or the way they have played or their deck. It doesn't matter if you think you are polite signaling lethal.
Because, if you give an early "well played" from the winner's chair, you are confirming THAT YOU ARE GIGANTIC FUCKING COCK WITH THE SOCIAL SKILLS OF A TEENAGER ON THE AUTISTIC SPECTRUM.
Leave the fucking emotes alone at all times. Unless you just lost - in which case "well played" from the loser to the winner might be acceptable.
To reiterate: 'well-played.' from a winner before the loser offers it comes across as smug, arrogant, mocking, and makes you look like a social retard.
In before "But I really do mean 'well played':" It doesn't matter. You LOOK like a giant cock.
I do it. But olny when it's against a player who's not polite and has been BMing the whole game. Then I emote with a sweet taste in my mouth as they become more and more salty when I take the game and win.
Not sure about there being a problem. We are 2 days into the expansion, it's way to early to see what is OP or not. Wait a few days.
All we can see in the ladder is Druid, at least for me. I', hovering at R6. Even tried playing taunt Druid with the DK and it was the most boring and easy deck to play. Just slap taunts on board and don't worry about tempo. And then lose the board and Use Spreading Madness into the +2/+2 buff to taunts and win the game. Honestly, it doesn't get any more unbalanced than that. I played it and I felt it was over the top. Imagine Jades, which are even easier to play. Brainless, boring and better than any answer out there.

He is referencing Pokemon. There's a bat Pokemon that's named Zubat. And he is also taking the opportunity to make a pun. Nice one OP

How do you get this pack? I'm playing in Americas server and haven't gotten any pack.

See? This is the kind of deck the Rogue Quest should'vs spawned. A deck which requires a brain to play. +1 for sure man, good creativity
