I am running the tournament with 0 sponsors and 0 backing, so the only players that would accept an invite to a tournament with no-prizepool, and doing an edgy idea that could completely bomb, were my friends. And TidesOfTime is a friend of mine. If he was only playing for money and was as selfish as you make him sound, then why would he agree to participate in a 0$ prizepool event that had no guarantee of even being big. He's a good guy, and back in 2014 had in the top 5 highest earnings, and amount of 1st places of any player.

Most likely only 1 or 2 open qualifiers per event. As they are a lot of work to run/organize. And I think people mostly want to see their favorite players vs new players. Instead of just new players vs new players. And established pros would never play an open qualifier when they could make a lot more money with their time streaming, or content producing in other ways, or competing in invitationals.

posted a message on [Hunter Meta] Belcher Miracle Rogue *UPDATED*

Seen this deck and other forms of miracle trying similar decks a lot lately, and my only real input is that you may want to consider loot hoarder, in the decklist as well, or some other 2 drop. The reason I suggest this is because the hunter decks now generally have about 40% for a 1 drop on one and then depending on the version 65%-72% to have the two drop on 2, and if the two drop is generally mad scientist or haunted creeper which are both weak cards stat wise that are investments in tempo. So you pay extra mana for the card for an effect later, which means using a card on these creatures you are losing card advantage which is not okay before you have reach auctioneer. So just food for thought about the consistency of the hunter decks two drops and what they are bringing to the table. I believe a lot of damage and struggle is mitigated if you can keep up tempo with these cards.

I been really bored of hearthstone lately and this deck makes me want to start trying some new ideas again, thanks man :) +1

Made a few changes and gonna play it on stream a bit.

Undid a few changes and ended up finding -1 assassins blade +1 fan to be working to my style. The alex was making warrior matchup basically an auto win. And was able to save vs hunter and zoo a few times actually. Still not sure how I like it, but it is interesting sort of makes me wonder if since BGH has died down if ragnaros could be a player in this deck. There is so much damage that you can distribute throughout the game so it is very possible just to push for damage as you keep tempo. The original version of Atak's deck used rag as a finisher instead of malygos, and was changed because the abundance of BGHs. And conceal rag is also extremely strong and comes a turn earlier than conceal alex.

Just some ideas to toss around. I was already top of legend last season so I don't need to be again because I am already qualified for the blizzard event thing, so I will be testing these sort of ideas, as this it one of my favorite style of decks to play.

I disagree with most of the good/mediocre/bad matchups, so if you stream let me know because I'd like to see if you do something different in those specific matchups :)

He replaced 1 loot hoarder for the Assassins Blade, and I agreed with this change and did so as well in mine for winning NESL and for my appearance on King of the Hill.

posted a message on [Firebat] Murloc To Rank 5 In 3 Hours

Well just mulligan away the murlocs, keep board control with non murlocs and after they've used their removal up or you have gotten the murgl + health combo that sticks then play the murgls. If you have 80% winrate with anything then that will climb very fast, on an average of series of games, 6.25 games for 5 stars which is a rank. But the best part about ladder murlocs is the game is over at about turn 6 and with zoo it often goes longer than that. I don't think it is a difficult deck to play, and its not something you really need to study much, but if you want msg me on twitch in chat when I'm streaming sometime and we can go on skype and share screen and talk through the plays to see if you would do anything different than I would to see if you are indeed missing some small thing.

posted a message on tips for arena deck building

Learn what tempo is and make a deck that balances for tempo (whenever possible). If you have not many 2 drops make sure you draft cards like may a Stormwind Knight so that possibly in your starting hand you can keep one because of your limited 2 drop pool, so you can gain board tempo back by using its charge and large health to immediately impact the board. And force them to use a card/trade another minion.

In the same respect, make sure you mulligan for your tempo plays. Mainly just know your arena deck. Print screen it and look at it on occasion so you know how much burn you have so you can decide when the tipping point is that you can ignore trades and go face if the board state is shaky and you have no more solid drops in hand.

Also, understand how your deck works as your drafting, every 5 cards or so, stop and think what the purpose of each card you have chosen is, and how it will affect the game. Is it a late game card? Does it give you a tempo advantage? Like lets say a flame imp which is tempo because it has highest possible stats for mana cost, which would be terrible if you plan to give your opponent tempo and clear with hellfire/removal and play it out late game style, but is a good card in other styles. So plan out how your deck will function as you make it. I believe every card in the game has a purpose and a decent 7-8 wins is possible off any draft.

Lastly, if you have no big AOE removal you can use mindcontrol tech as an AOE removal because arena is so minion focused.
